A reminder that I’ve always told myself is: how dare I walk into a school every day and ask my students to learn, if I am not also growing myself each day as well.

The buzzwords in education are constantly changing, but one thing remains the same; we must guide our students along a path that positions them for success. Instead of solely looking forward, it's vital to also look UP and DOWN. Amelia will lead and guide you through the crucial aspect of planning that often goes unnoticed: vertical standard alignment. From foundational skills to higher-level thinking, let's dive in! Once we've established vertical alignment, it's time to differentiate within the confines of your own classroom. Todd is passionate about igniting a love for reading both on and off campus.

The true power lies in encouraging children (and adults!) to read because they genuinely enjoy it, not solely for a test or assignment (we've all been there!). Todd shares a multitude of ideas on how your campus (or classroom) can cultivate a love for reading, allowing everyone to experience the spark of falling in love with a good book.

Reading and writing are reciprocal processes that mutually bolster each other. Thus, when we observe a student facing challenges in one area, it often manifests in the other. He is a double graduate of the University of Central Florida with degrees in Elementary Education (B.S) and Educational Leadership (M.Ed) and has served as a highly effective teacher, instructional coach, and administrator in both Orlando, FL and Harlem, NY. A former employee of the Walt Disney Company and lead host for Radio Disney in both the New York City and Orlando markets, Chris has years of experience captivating audiences, families, and clients with his high energy and enthusiasm and has since found a way to bring that same experience and “magic” into schools and classrooms throughout the country. Because of this, Chris was honored with Macy’s Magic of Teaching: Magic of Innovation Award, awarded the Elementary School Teacher of the Year and overall District Teacher of the Year for his district, named one of UCF’s Top 30 Under 30, and had the opportunity to ring the closing bell of the Nasdaq Stock Market closing bell in New York City.

lanesha tabb LaNesha Tabb is a proud kindergarten teacher from Indianapolis.

When she's not in the classroom, you can catch her working with school districts, speaking at various conferences all over the country, and oh yeah, being a wife and mom! LaNesha firmly believes that little kids can do BIG things! She is passionate about authentic, global, and culturally relevant teaching strategies from the youngest grades.

amelia capotosta Amelia has been making learning magical in Ohio classrooms for over 12 years. She has a passion for literacy and using authentic texts to create engaging and rigorous lessons. Her classroom is a place where students feel loved and empowered, and she strives to ignite a love of reading in all of her students. Amelia enjoys spreading the effectiveness of authentic texts in the classroom and she does this on her social media platforms @ameliacapotosta.

Amelia believes in the power of taking research-based strategies, and tackling the toughest standards with engaging lessons. Her goal is to enable educators to design and implement differentiated lessons that reach all learners in their classrooms. She is also a mama to 3 wonderful boys and loves spending time reading, playing, and exploring with them!arious conferences all over the country, and oh yeah, being a wife and mom! Wade King attended Anderson University, where he received both his undergraduate degree and his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision. Wade has been recognized as a District Choice Teacher and Teacher of The Year. His students’ outstanding achievement scores and growth on standardized tests were some of the highest scores in the state of South Carolina. Mr. King attributes his students’ success to a “no excuse” policy that he models himself. The relationships he fosters with his students, their families, and community is the driving force behind his teaching. Mr. King’s classroom is filled with music, engagement, rigor, and discipline. He strives to prepare his students for their futures and not their pasts, while also placing an emphasis on global learning.

hope king Hope King is a decorated educator with over eleven years of experience teaching first through sixth grades. Hope holds a Master’s Degree in Reading. Since working and traveling with Get Your Teach On, Hope has trained thousands of educators. Hope enjoys meeting teachers from all over the country as she shares her passion for student engagement and rigorous content-driven instruction. Hope is the popular blogger behind the website Elementary Shenanigans and is a teacher author for the website Teachers Pay Teachers. Hope is the co-author of the book “The Wild Card” written with her husband Wade King.

Hope is a cofounder of the Get Your Teach On Conference.

todd nesloney Todd Nesloney holds the role of Director of Culture and Strategic Leadership for the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA). Previously, he garnered recognition as an award-winning principal overseeing a PreK-5th Grade campus with more than 775 students in a rural Texas town. Todd's contributions to education have earned him accolades from notable entities, including the White House, John C. Maxwell, the Center for Digital Education, National School Board Association, the BAMMYS, and others. He is an active presence on social media, known as Tech Ninja Todd, and he is deeply committed to going above and beyond for students and supporting others in sharing their educational stories.
