"perspective"

Several years ago, I began to tune into a word that has taken many circumstances to help me better understand. I am still continuing to uncover layers that are hidden treasures in the depth of these lessons.
Perspective: a particular attitude towards or way of regarding something; a point of view. While many of us in this world have experienced similar paths at one juncture or another, no two people have ever shared the exact same life journey. For me, I am finding that perspective can play a powerful role in shaping how we view memories or moments in our lives.
Perspective can be one of the greatest assets in which we use to give it a positive or negative attachment. It gives us the power to shape the lens in which we view all of life. I have often reminded myself of this when seasons of life may present themselves as uncomfortable or unfamiliar. It has only been in the last few years that I began to see the value of perspective as a tool.
I find myself asking the Lord what does He have for me to learn in certain stages or seasons. The more I have begun to tap into seeing those areas as opportunities, the more excited I become about what lesson could be learned from it all.
I have also found this to be helpful in every day life in understanding others in personal relationships, professional encounters and as parental guidance with my son and his friends. While not all of the lessons come with a side of smiles, the choice to find perspective within it tends to eventually help me lean into that.
Encouraging words and kindness can be found in every day. Some days we need it from others when we find ourselves short in capacity. On other days, maybe we get to be the reason that someone feels that.
With all of my heart, I am so grateful for all that we get to journey through individually and together. I am also especially thankful for those who overflow into my world each and every season. Close friends, loved ones, clients, neighbors and those who I have yet to meet…thank you.
Wishing everyone the most incredible next few months and grateful for the perspective to believe that every day has its purpose.
