Where Passion and Fuel Mix When Polaris asked Brian Klock to be part of the aftermarket Indian Design Board back in 2013 he was thrilled and humbled by the invitation. “Getting a chance to work alongside Greg Brew, Michael Song, Rich Christoph, Gary Gray, Steve Menneto, and team was an incredible opportunity,” he said.

“Witnessing and being part of efforts to build an incredible line of products for those first clay models and then watching those ideas prove themselves out during track testing was fun to watch and amazing to be a part of.”

Design ideas immediately started flowing and The Flare™ Windshield was the first part our team of Air Management Experts set course to create for the new and improved Indian platform. Followed quickly by handlebars, front fenders, and device mounts those ideas were the catalyst for the Test Mule (pg. 6) and Doyle's Red & Black (pg. 10) bike builds at Klock Werks.

It was August of 2014 when Karlee Cobb, so captivated by what she had

seen from Indian during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, expressed her desire to build her own Scout, and in January of 2015 she unveiled her first build using the new Indian middleweight at the NYC IMS show. She simply called the bike “Outrider.” (pg. 22) Klock Werks released the Outrider line of handlebars, fenders, and floorboard mounts in conjunction with her bike debut.

The relationship, that was originally established with Polaris through Brian’s love for Victory Motorcycles and land speed racing, blended over into the new Indian brand. As is customary, we continue to utilize our design and manufacturing efforts to better the Indian Motorcycle experience. Our Ergo bars correct your wrist position not only to reduce stress to your wrists but may help reduce that pinched feeling between your shoulder blades after a day of riding!

They are designed specifically to adjust your wrists to a more natural position vs. stock handlebars. The mitered corners allow for a narrower grip width (33") without covering up the Ride Command and gauges in the fairing.

Ergo bars accept stock controls and switch housings and are pre-drilled and slotted for internal wiring. This Fit Kit includes extended clutch cable and brake line. (It is possible to reroute the switch wiring under the fairing so that extending the wiring is not required.)

Originally taller, the bike's bars were brought in and our entire team - all ages, all sizes, men and women - adjusted the multi-fit KlipHangers to their size. 13" was the optimal size for a pushed forward attitude or pulled back cruiser style.

It was the fall of 2015 when David Stang from Jack Daniel's called Brian Klock, asking him to be the "quarterback" on a special project to celebrate 150 years of the world's most famous whiskey brand. He was very clear that this would be the first licensed "motor vehicle" in the history of Jack Daniel's. It was also clear that the message would be "Bottles and Throttles Don't Mix" - drink responsibly.

Everyone seemed to push back on the total number of bikes and yet David stood his ground and 150 Limited Edition 2016 Indian Motorcycle Vintage and Springfield’s known as "JD150" were created. The real surprise was that all 150 bikes sold in just under 8 hours, unprecedented in motorcycle history!

This was truly fitting for an original American brand that has built a global legacy from the small town of Lynchburg, TN. The next year, 2017, the tribute was to the charcoal mellowing process and 100 Chieftains (JD151) were created and sold worldwide in only ten minutes.

The Scout Bobber was the bike of choice for 2018 (JD152) and the number was set at 177 (Old No. 7 came into play once again) and the bikes were dedicated to firefighters around the world. The black and gold muscle bike was a hit and sold out in just 9 minutes. Klock Werks and Brian continue to help design these projects alongside the teams from Indian Motorcycle and Jack Daniel's.

We were honored to team with Indian Motorcycle and Jack Daniel's for this opportunity! When people gather together, and a handshake agreement is struck, great things can happen. The JD150 bike legacy is proof of that goodness, let’s all raise a glass to that!

Yes, it's the first ever custom rigid Scout and we realize that NONE of the parts on this build can be found in this catalog (Sorry!). In 2017, Karlee was asked by Michael Lichter to be part of his "Old Iron-Young Blood" exhibit. She started with this 2016 Indian Scout and working alongside Jennifer Bainbridge and Randy Rothlisberger, she teamed up with Jason Kangas at Twisted Choppers for the frame, exhaust, radiator, controls and more. Steve Langston of Elite Polishing made the motor and transmission shine like a diamond. The bike was brought to life with paint by Brad Smith of Smitty's Custom Painting.

There are so many details on this first ever rigid Scout including an Indian Princess badge on the fork that Karlee was gifted by fellow builder, Brad Gregory. His gift gave the bike it's name: Project Princess.
