INFANTS Pre-School classes had an amazing time visiting the Intercontinental Hotel Beach. We had a carousel of activities: playing in the play park, paddling, ball games, sandcastle making, ‘Duck, Duck, Goose’ and more! All classes were impeccably behaved and followed the rules set by the teachers but, more importantly, everyone had lots of fun together!

JUNIORS The students in Year 3 have had a very busy, fun-filled few weeks. As well as continuing to work hard in class, we have also had great fun on our ‘GTBG’ trip to the cinema, enjoyed learning about different countries during 'International Day' and took part in an amazing 'Sports Day.' Before half-term, the children went on their second ‘Good to be Green’ reward trip. Good behaviour was rewarded with an exciting outing to the cinema. We watched ‘Deep Sea 3D’ at the IMAX cinema at the Qatar Mall. As we had just finished working on the book ‘Flotsam’ in class which is all about undersea life, we found this movie fascinating! After a restful half-term break, Year 3 students returned to school ready and eager to learn. We started our new topic in IPC called 'Scavengers and Settlers' and began with looking at life in the Stone Age. In writing, we will also be exploring this theme with our new book, ‘The First Drawing.' We also celebrated ‘International Day' with each class choosing a country to ‘explore’ for the day. We learnt lots of interesting facts about our chosen country and celebrated their culture through art and music. The children also enjoyed our international food tasting event where they had the opportunity to experience different cuisine from around the world. The day ended with a lovely assembly in the sports hall with each class showing off the traditional dress of their chosen country. After our ‘International Day,’ the excitement continued as we took part in our annual Sports Day. We all headed to Al Gharaffa Stadium and took part in both track and field events. It was a great opportunity for the children to display their team spirit and it was also wonderful to see them encouraging each other in the different events they took part in.

SECONDARY The GCSE Art students have been preparing their coursework for moderation. They have all chosen different themes; therefore the work, ideas and artists they have studied, and the materials used, are all very different.
