INFANTS Preschool are having an amazing time learning all about dinosaurs. We know that they come in all shapes and sizes and we know some of their names too. All classes have had a fantastic time painting a life size dinosaur foot, and we are amazed how big it was! We can ‘walk like a dinosaur’ and ROAR like a dinosaur … so look out!

JUNIORS Our topic this term in Year 3 has been ‘Bienvenue en France’ in which we have not only been learning the French language but also about the famous landmarks, the different types of food and even about the Tour de France. We have covered the days of the week and the months of the year, the numbers from 1 to 20, colours, greetings and also how to order basic food from a café including a hot chocolate and an ice cream. A few weeks ago, the children became real French chefs where they designed and created their very own crêpes and they loved it! The children enjoyed bringing in food from different parts of France and of course eating it!

SECONDARY Greetings to all our parents and students from the Business Studies and Travel & Tourism Department. As we approach the end of Term 1, (which has been quite a long-term) we note the success and positive participation of many Year 12 students who have chosen to study subjects from this department, those of BTEC Business and Travel. There has been an incredible uptake of over seventy Sixth Form students to study AS Travel & Tourism this year. These students will be involved in a wide range of marketing and promotional projects, and they will focus on tourism in Doha and the surrounding areas. Our IGCSE and AS Travel students recently visited Banana Island Resort, Doha. The students visited on two separate days, in November, to obtain market research information for their Travel & Tourism coursework from this exclusive tourist location. Lastly, AS Travel & Tourism has been planning numerous tourist tours and guides for international visitors to Doha; outlining some of the cultural attraction such as souks, as well as contemporary sites like the Museum of Islamic Arts, and the new sports stadiums.
