On behalf of the GESA AGW Scientific Program Committee we warmly invite you to attend Australian Gastroenterology Week (AGW) 2024 from Friday 13 to Monday 16 September at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

AGW is the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA). This event is the premier gastroenterology and liver meeting in Australia and helps to facilitate collegiality, deliver education, promote research, and provide networking opportunities.

This year’s theme, It takes a village: from prevention to management brings together all elements of the patient pathway.

In addition to featuring outstanding international and national speakers, the Scientific Program Committee ensures sessions cover the rapid scientific advances being made in gastroenterology and hepatology, regional and remote health care, the challenges of private practice, and physician self-care.

Please note that sponsorship levels are limited and expo site ocation is allocated on a first payment basis.

About GESA About AGW

The Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) is the peak membership organisation for Australian healthcare professionals and researchers working in the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology.

As a society GESA sets, promotes and continuously improves the standards of clinical practice in gastroenterology and hepatology throughout Australia.

GESA works closely with its members to provide training, drive research and ensure the highest standards are set when it comes to patient care.

GESA works with the Federal and State Departments of Health and other policy-setting organisations to promote the highest standards in research, education, patient care and clinical practice

GESA members represent the organisation on committees and advisory groups whose purpose it is to shape the future of gastroenterology and hepatology in Australia.

AGW 2024 - it takes a village, from prevention to management will take place from Friday 13 to Monday 16 September 2024 in Adelaide.

1725 people attended AGW2023. We welcomed 17 international and over 200 national speakers presenting leading edge content. All feedback suggests that it was the best yet.

We awarded the Poster of Merit and Young Investigator Award winners, all presenting exciting and gamechanging research.

Our team loved meeting GESA members at our stand, putting faces to names and listening to feedback. The portrait booth was a hit and we were delighted to see the many celebrities (more than a few Kens) in attendance at the Hollywood themed Gala Dinner.

We each averaged 12,000 steps a day inside the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, testament to the extensive program and wonderful expo.
