wool Unfortunately certified wool is not yet widely available. Nevertheless we think it has to be included in our collection because it is a beautiful and sustainable product. It provides excellent wearing comfort: cool in summer, warm in winter. Wool has highly breathable and moisture wicking qualities. Thanks to its natural fat it is self-cleaning and dirt-repellant. Wool is a natural fiber; it breathes and is biodegradable and therefore 100% recycable. Once it has served it is easy to decompose naturally and not damaging the environment. Therefore it is our challenge to design a circular wool collection.

Most of our wool garments are ready to recycle; we only use 100% wool without any other fabrics (s.a. lining) or attached haberdashery such as buttons, zippers, etc..

Properties Wool is durable and very strong, even after long use a woollen garment remains beautiful.

The natural elasticity of wool ensures that it stretches along with the carrier, but after You take it off, it returns again in its original form. There is little chance that the garment is going to expand or lose its shape. A woollen garment is easy to care. Wool has a naturally protective greasy layer making it antistatic. It doesn’t attrackt dirt, unlike synthetic yarns such as acrylic and polyester. Woollen clothes are self-cleaning, often airing is enough. Wool is a good heat insulator by the trapping the air and is capable to hold moisture without feeling wet. It’s highly breathable and moisturing.

100% (boiled) Wool Ready to recycle With these designs we strived to make garments which are easy to recycle.

Therefore, on the way to a waste- free society where everything is recyclable, we chose to start from 100% monomaterial. No other material than 100% wool has been used for any other purpose such as lining or other parts.

Also no integrated/fastened haberdashery like zippers or buttons are used.

These garments can be recycled without first having to disassemble it.

Wool reacts to your body temperature, keeps you warm when it’s cold and reduces the heat and your body fluids, when it’s warm.

cotton velvet & corduroy vintage cotton variants with a warm winter look

Organic cotton velvet/velours A warmer winter cotton variant is our cotton velvet (velours).

This fabric is very soft and has a shiny surface with a velvety appearance. This 100% organic cotton fabric is knitted and has the same comfortable and natural properties as our organic cotton jersey.

A stretchable and more lightweight variant is the cotton mixed velours.

This fabric is oeko-tex 100 certified. The standard focuses on limited use of harmful substances in relation to the health of the user.

Although the label focused on health aspects, the guidelines for the use of harmful substances also corresponds to those of the ecological and sustainable guidelines. 80% cotton /20% pol.

We use it for festive and sporting garments.

MOYZO’s vision Nice, comfortable and natural.

Nature is our inspiration; we use her colors and shapes. Nature gives us peace and space to create. Therefore we feel the obligation to cherish.

That’s why we make our clothes fair and durable and design each MOYZO garment ourselves, so we can give every detail the attention it deserves. Our clothes should be comfortable to wear, must have a beautiful and fashionable look, and fit well, so you can wear them with great pleasure.

The raw materials we use are natural fibers of course; they give optimal comfort. Good materials without additives or environmental pollutant treatments, and with a nice natural look. Our cotton, linen and wool fibers, come from ecological working farmers. The professionals who make our fabrics, work sparingly with energy, water and other raw materials. They all keep the Earth clean and fertile in a natural way.

We have a large collection with lots of colors and sizes, therefore we keep very limited stock. In order to be able to deliver quickly, MOYZO items are made at the MOYZO Home studio from start to finish.

It's our policy to produce in a sustainable way; with a local and on demand production we keep the ecological footprint as limited as possible.

The basic items wich we do keep in stock, are produced by outdoor professionals nearby. We provide a good working space for them and a fair reward.

It’s our contribute to a fair and healthy common wealth.

The Collection The collection should, apart from the use of durable materials and fair trade production, also be durable in other ways; durability must be reflected in the collection build-up and in the colour palette. Current collection’s clothing and colours must be compatible not only with each other but also with those of former and future collections. The opportunity to create more combinations will make you enjoy your items for a much longer period of time.

Furthermore several units can be worn in different ways and can be transformed into another, different design. Sustainability must also be reflected in fit and comfort: the better a garment fits, the higher the wearing comfort, the less it will wear out and so the longer you’ll enjoy it.

We aim to make timeless favorites which you can enjoy for a long period of time!

Raw materials The raw materials we use for our clothing, like biological cotton, linen and wool, are all certified biological. Among other things, this means that in the cultivation no pesticides or chemical fertilizers are used. Also the animal welfare is guaranteed.

In this way the farmers who cultivate these raw materials, invest in a healthy soil and healthy crop. They ensure an agriculture which is in balance with the natural fauna and flora.

Important for us and for future generations. Also in the factory where our fabrics are produced, the production process is ecofriendly: careful use of water, energy and other things required for production of clothing, such as ecofriendly dyes (colourants) and fibres.

We aim to purchase our fabrics as closeby as possible which also contributes to a smaller ecological footprint.

Production To minimize the environmentle impact, we prefer local production.

We keep short lines to monitor better quality. By manufacturing either in our home studio or small factories nearby, we can deliver quickly and keep stock small, without surplus.

sustainable/ecological natural fabric We exclusively prefer to work with natural materials such as cotton,wool and hemp because of the beautiful natural look and their pleasant wearing properties; Natural fibers are very absorbent, soft and strong, while still easy to care for.

Natural fabrics are hypoallergenic making it a suitable choice for those with sensitive skin.

Moyzo stands for sustainable production (manufactured & processed in a sustainable way) and uses for more than 90% organic, GOTS certified fabric.

One of the materials that some consider to be sustainable and eco friendly, but that you won’t find in our webshop, is recycled polyester. It’s becoming ever more clear that the nano particles coming from polyester (Petroleum-derived fibres) clothing have desastrous effects on biodiversity. Even though from an eco friendly point of view, recycled polyesters seem much to be prefered to ‘virgin’ polyesters. But they still are a source of pollution.

All natural fibers are biodegradable and therefore a greener choice. The term ‘biodegradable’ refers to the ability of a substance to decompose naturally by living organisms. Natural fabrics decompose in 1 month to a maximum of 5 years. Synthetic fabrics take up to

. 600 years to decompose.

GOTS certificate We consider the GOTS certificate to be the best guarantee that the fabric not only comes from organic agriculture but also that all production phases (weaving, knitting, dyeing, finishing) are environmentally safe: careful use of water, energy and other things required for production of clothing. Organic agriculture (fiber) protects the health of

people and planet by reducing the overall exposure of toxic chemicals from synthetic pesticides that can end up in the ground, air, water and food supply and that are associated with health consequences, from asthma to cancer. Because organic agriculture doesn't use toxic pesticides, choosing organic products is an easy way to help to protect the environment and yourself. Also social standards for the workers have been respected: fair wages, good working conditions and certainly no forced or childrens labour.

All our cotton and linen is GOTS certified!
