MESSAGE FROM THE COORDINATOR MENSAJE DEL COORDINADOR

The present number of our Journal is dedicated to our sister city of Guayaquil and all its resident philatelists who are part of our Group. With them we share in the celebration of Guayaquil’s bicentennial anniversary.

We have included in this number an up-dated article on the pre stamp period of the city. Also, one will find material on the centennial postal issue of as well as an article on revenue stamps.

During most of 2020 our philatelic activities have concentrated on Zoom meetings which have either been initiated or in which our club members habe participated. No meetings or philatelica shows have been planned.

We hope that by the forthcoming year, when the pandemic subsides, normal activities will resume again. In the meantime keep in touch and stay healthy. Este número de nuestro boletín está dedicado a nuestra ciudad hermana, Guayaquil, y a todos los filatelistas de nuestro Grupo que residen en ella. Con ellos compartimos la celebración del bicentenario guayaquileño

Incluimos en este número una actualización de un estudio sobre la prefilatelia guayaquileña. También encontrarán material sobre la emisión postal del centenario y sobre timbres fiscales.

Durante la mayor parte del 2020 nuestras actividades filatélicas se han concentrado en las reuniones en la plataforma Zoom, en las que algunos de nuestros miembros han participado. No hay reuniones ni exposiciones filatpelicas programadas.

Espereos que el año que viene se supere la pandemia y podamos reetomar nuestras actividades normales. Mientras tanto, manténgase en contacto y saludables.
