A table talk discussion was facilitated by district county commissioner candidate Mr. Ethan Wolfe. Mr. Ethan Wolfe is an Americus born former educator in Sumter Country for over twenty-five years. Mr. Wolfe attended Georgia Southwestern College before going into the United States Airforce where he earned his bachelor's degree in computer information systems management and later a master’s degree in business administration. Mr. Ethan Wolfe is now retired and is running for Sumter District 3 County Commissioner. Mr. Wolfe volunteered to speak at the informational event to further both his campaign and the political awareness of college-aged students. Mr. Ethan Wolfe discussed the current election, reasons why the collegiate demographic is the least likely to vote, and current issues that are being faced both in Sumter County and the United States as a whole.

Facility members also joined the discussion. Dr. Susan Bragg and Dr. Blue Argo two professors at Georgia Southwestern University in the English Department spoke to the student body and members of the Young Democrats club about their own experiences and how getting politically involved is beneficial for the current generation and those to come.
