Conductor Dr. Glenn D. Price is a Canadian conductor who teaches at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Dr. Price holds a B.Mus. from the University of Toronto and an M.Mus. and D.M.A. from the Eastman School of Music at Rochester University and has an international reputation as one of the leading conductors of his generation. He also is past president of the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles. His ensembles from Canada have received great critical acclaim for their performances, recordings and broadcasts. Under his direction from 1988-­‐‑2001, the University of Calgary Wind Ensemble grew to become the finest group of its kind in Canada. Its series of recordings on the Arktos label has been specifically cited as a major contribution to the field.

An active conductor on the international scene as well, Dr. Price has conducted professional and student orchestras and wind ensembles throughout North America as well as in Europe, the United Kingdom, South America, the Middle East and Asia. Following Master's and Doctoral degrees at the Eastman School of Music, Dr. Price completed post-­‐‑doctoral studies in conducting at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Japan and at the Tanglewood Music Center in Massachusetts as well as advanced studies in Europe and Russia. A renowned percussionist, he has performed with the Canadian Opera Company, National Ballet of Canada, Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, New Works Calgary, Eastman-­‐‑Dryden Orchestra, Alberta Theatre Projects and Alberta Ballet. He has also appeared as soloist and recitalist His is performances have been heard on radio, television, recordings and on film. Currently he is Director of the University of Calgary Summer Conducting Diploma Program and serves on the Executive Board of the World Association For Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE). He has recently relocated to Los Angeles to become Head of Winds and Percussion, Professor of Conducting and Director of Wind Ensembles at California State University -­‐‑ Northridge.

Conductor As a member of the Westminster Choir College faculty, Dr. Amanda Quist conducts the Chapel Choir, Westminster Kantorei, and teaches conducting. During her work with the Westminster Symphonic Choir, she collaborated with artists Alan Gilbert and the New York Philharmonic, Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic, and composers Ola Gjeilo and Tarik O’Regan. Dr. Quist recently served as chorus master for the North American premier of the opera Matsukaze for Spoleto Festival USA and Lincoln Center. Dr. Quist is director of the Westminster Vocal Institute, and was previously Director of Choral Activities at San JosÊ State University. Dr. Quist earned her DMA in Choral Conducting from the University of North Texas, and has received numerous awards as a teacher and conductor. These include the prestigious James Mulholland National Choral Fellowship, the Texas Choral Directors Association Professional Scholarship and the Audrey Davidson Early Music Award. She has held positions on the faculties of Western Michigan University, Michigan State University, and the University of North Texas. Her research focus is voice science and pedagogy in the choral setting. An active adjudicator and clinician, Dr. Quist regularly conducts honor choirs and presents at music conferences. Upcoming guest appearances include the ACDA Southwestern Division SSAA Honor Choir, the Southern California Vocal Association Honor Choir, and the New York ACDA Honor Choir. Dr. Quist serves as the National ACDA R&S Chair for Youth and Student Activities.

Conductor Fawzi Haimor is currently in his second season as the Assistant Conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Prior to his Pittsburgh appointment, he was the Assistant Conductor of the Alabama Symphony for two seasons.

In Alabama, he conducted a variety of concerts including subscription, pops, education, and outreach. Additionally, Mr. Haimor had the pleasure to work with numerous orchestras including the Amman Symphony, Jacksonville Symphony, Kansas City Symphony, and Orquestra Sinfonico do Porto and has collaborated with famous artists such as Bela Fleck, Bobby Horton, Diane Schuur, and Luciana Souza. He has also served as a cover conductor to esteemed conductors including Justin Brown, Marvin Hamlisch, Grant Llewellyn, Michael Morgan, Robert Spano, Stefan Sanderling, and Michael Stern. Extremely passionate about the education of young musicians, Mr. Haimor is involved in many aspects of music education. He was the first music director of the newly formed Alabama Symphony Youth Orchestra where he was involved in the development of a brand new premier level youth orchestra for the state of Alabama. He was also the founder and first music director of the Davis Summer Symphony, an organization geared towards the education and outreach of classical music to residents of the Davis, California community. Additionally, he has been invited to guest conduct youth ensembles across the country. Born in Chicago in 1983, Mr. Haimor was raised in the Middle East and the San Francisco Bay Area. He began playing the violin at the age of 4 and quickly developed a deep love for conducting. He completed his training at the Jacobs School of Music in Indiana University where he studied under David Effron and Arthur Fagen as well as attended master classes around the world led by highly respected conductors including Herbert Blomstedt, Jorma Panula, Leonard Slatkin, and Gustav Meier. He has earned bachelor’s degrees in both music and neurobiology, physiology, and behavior, and a master’s degree in conducting from the University of California-Davis before completing his second master’s in instrumental conducting from Indiana University.
