THE GRADUATE SCHOOL ONLINE CERTIFICATES The IT Auditing field includes knowledge of business processes, information security, information policies and procedures, accounting, and compliance requirements. An IT Auditor is involved in developing, implementing, testing, and evaluating audit review procedures.

A web developer needs to understand how websites and business applications are developed and pushed to the cloud. There are many aspects of web development. Front-end developers use their design skills to create efficient and good-looking sites, while backend developers focus on adding value to a business through application development. Data analytics is important because it helps businesses optimize their performance. Implementing it into the business model means companies can help reduce costs by identifying more efficient ways of doing business and by storing large amounts of data. A company can also use data analytics to make better business decisions and to help analyze customer trends and satisfaction, which can lead to new and better products and services. Students with any undergraduate degree can apply to pursue these MMIS certificates. Georgia College | 3 | November 2021

MMIS ONLINE CERTIFICATES Only four courses are required per certificate Students with any undergraduate degree can apply to pursue the MMIS Certificates Courses taken in the certificate programs can count toward the MMIS graduate program as long as the courses are part of the required curriculum and were taken in the past seven years with an acceptable grade.

You can complete more than one certificate

TEACHER ENDORSEMENTS, CERTIFICATIONS, AND CERTIFICATES The Computer Science Certificate provides the coursework for the Professional Standards Commission Endorsement. The program at Georgia College is a fourcourse sequence. Upon completion of the four courses, candidates will be referred to the PSC to add the endorsement to their certification. Students do not have to be in the teaching field to take courses and earn the certificate, however, educators holding a level four (4) or higher renewable professional certificate in any P-12 or secondary (6-12) teaching field and who complete the Computer Science Endorsement are qualified to teach computer science to students in grades P-12.

The Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Certificate provides the coursework for the Professional Standards Commission Endorsement. The program features a three-part series of courses designed to acclimate and educate the practicing educator in the concepts, research, and issues surrounding implementation of PBIS, an evidencedbased framework for solving student behavioral issues through proactive and positive behavior management, at the universal, targeted, and intensive levels. Completers of the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) Endorsement have strengthened and enhanced competencies to model PBIS in the fields and at the grade levels of their base certification(s).

All teacher certification programs at the John H. Lounsbury College of Education are approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC).

The non-degree certification in Instructional Technology requires a minimum of 15 semester hours of course work. Coursework is fully online. There are, however, opportunities to communicate with instructors and classmates in a variety of ways including synchronous, asynchronous, and virtual. Students do not have to be in the teaching field to take courses and earn the IT Certificate, however, students in the add-on PSC certification program must hold a T5 certification in a teaching field or another field as outlined with the GaPSC.
