Did you know that there are several CKI preferred charities and service partners you can join with? That’s right, we work with March of Dimes, Students Team Up to Fight Hunger, BetterWorld Books, and our October-time specialty...UNICEF! This Halloween season, collect donations instead of candy. Take part in Trickor-Treat for UNICEF. All proceeds raised by Kiwanis-family members from Trick-orTreat for UNICEF will go to The Eliminate Project to help eliminate a disease from the face of the Earth. You could raise funds door-to-door, host a “spooktacular” dance or haunted house … or come up with your own ideas! You can participate in five simple steps: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

Decide with your club what kind of fundraiser you’ll do. Order your collection boxes. Collect donations. Fill out the gift form and submit it with your club’s donations. Celebrate! You’re helping save moms and babies.

Secretary Now that school is back in session along with projects and meetings, please do not forget to involve your Kiwanis club. If possible attend their meetings and their projects. When you go to their meetings, you could take a club calendar to pass out so that your Kiwanis club knows when your projects are and how they can get involved. If that is not as effective as you would like, then you could plan a social with the Kiwanis club president and see if that gets the two clubs to meet each other. If you have any other questions about how to get involved with your Kiwanis club do not hesitate to contact any District Board member or District Administrator.  Elizabeth Ludlow
