What sets GWA apart?
We intentionally and thoughtfully design each day to engage students in lessons, activities, and experiences that foster a lifelong love of learning. We believe education is not “one size fits all” and we offer a customized approach that brings out the best in each student. Talented teachers who go above and beyond, creative hands-on lessons, and innovative, immersive experiences make all the difference and inspire students to explore and discover something new every day.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Take a look inside a middle school classroom at GWA and you’ll see students up and out of their desks, actively engaged in lessons as they communicate, collaborate, and create. We believe in equipping students with key skills that enable them to succeed in college and life. Our curriculum features intensive coursework that expands to fit the academic goals and ambitions for each student.
UPPER SCHOOL
The unique GWA educational experience is student-centered and future-focused. We understand that today’s students need to be well prepared for tomorrow’s challenges. The goal is not to teach students what to think but how to think. Our teachers strive to develop and inspire students who are more than prepared, not only for college and careers, but to make a meaningful difference in the world.
GWA is a designated AP Honor Roll school for outstanding participation and performance in Advanced Placement courses and on exams. Our teachers strive to teach their students grit, determination, and resilience to overcome challenges, and to be well-rounded members of the GWA community. Our students are leaders, athletes, artists, performers, and community helpers.
