George Junior Republic in Pennsylvania receives Three-Year CARF Accreditation
Grove City, PA – CARF International, an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services, announced that George Junior Republic in Pennsylvania (GJR in PA) has been reaccredited for three additional years for its Group Home program (Children, Adolescents, and Juvenile Justice), Residential Treatment (Children, Adolescents, and Juvenile Justice), and Governance. The reaccreditation demonstrates the organization’s commitment to improving the lives of the persons served.
Established in 1909, George Junior Republic and Affiliates provide a broad range of residential and community-based services to youth and adults across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Indiana. On the Grove City campus, George Junior Republic in Pennsylvania offers a continuum of residential programs, mental health services, and vocational education to young men and male and female adults.
The Three-Year Accreditation represents the highest level of accreditation awarded by CARF and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to CARF’s rigorous organizational and program standards, which center around the ASPIRE to Excellence© continuous improvement framework. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation must put itself through a rigorous peer review process and demonstrate to a team of surveyors its commitment to accountability and high-quality programs and services.
“The organization is proud to receive this reaccreditation. CARF Accreditation supports our commitment to those we serve and the future strategic development of the organization,” states CEO Nathan Gressel.
Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and now known as CARF International, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
