How Small Changes Yield Huge Rewards

For those of you dedicated to your business ventures, you may have found yourself counting how often you’ve tried making huge changes only to gain small rewards. That is certainly not the objective we have in mind when developing businesses. What we want from our efforts are huge rewards from small changes made to products or ourselves.

It’s an ideal situation. But what does it actually mean when you make large gains with only small changes on your part?

For starters, put time into your equation when structuring your next game plan. It simply needs time. Large rewards from small changes means you let time play its part because it accomplishes the most. Likely the most common mistake made in starting a business is dreaming about your success in an overtly romanticized way. Believe it or not, daydreaming in this manner throws off your sense of timing as you submerge in a mindset of “must have now.”

Business success is not an overnight story, however, but “that story” happens as soon as we get worked up in our mental potentials for success. Real success doesn’t happen the way lightning strikes. That moment when great accomplishment comes may seem like a flashing second, but the results come from work laid out over years of commitment to a plan.

This is why we’re discussing time at the moment. When enough time is invested by your own hands, small changes that bring huge rewards becomes easy. The factor needed to compile years of effort into experience is accomplished: that is time. Your abilities will come with habitual ease.

That comes from the habitual understanding you have that becomes second nature through the process of time.

So how long have you been committed to your cause? Is it second nature yet?

When you’ve invested the proverbial 10,000 hours in your craft, then you’ll begin to see how only small changes will yield the greatest results. Ten thousand hours is a common standard for the amount of time needed to become an expert.

Things you’ve done up to that point have yielded success, so now a small variation is needed to join with what has already proven relevant to you and your business goals. This is the same even when building a home. The many months that are necessary to build such a structure will only take a simple turn of the front door to enjoy the rewards.

This is when and where one small thing will yield huge rewards. It is when you have time invested and enough persistence to see the finished product of your initial move.
