n a year that seemed determined to thin fashion’s upper atmosphere, six names—Giorgio Armani, Marina Yee, Rosita Missoni, Pam Hogg, Diane Keaton, and Oliviero Toscani—left the stage in 2025, taking with them not trends or hemlines, but entire ways of looking at style, photos, and ourselves. What remains is a set of hard‑won principles, expressed in tailoring, catsuits, knitwear, billboards, and a single impeccably buckled belt, that the industry will be cribbing from for decades.
urban armor forged partly from aesthetic conviction, partly from a lifetime of guarding sun‑damaged skin. When a Ralph Lauren homage to her Annie Hall uniform closed VOGUE World 2025, it felt less like a tribute than an acknowledgment that the global wardrobe had been speaking fluent Keaton for decades.
PAM HOGG Born in Paisley, Scotland in 1959, was the wild card in this otherwise impeccably tailored deck of stylemakers. A designer, musician and artist, she built a cult empire of hand‑made latex catsuits and razor‑cut GIORGIO ARMANI Born in 1934 in Milan, bodysuits that wrapped Debbie Harry, Kate Armani spent half a century lowering the Moss, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga in high‑volt‑ volume on luxury until it became a private IN 2013, GENLUX HONORED PAM HOGG WITH A FASHION SHOW HOSTED AT THE LA HOME OF OUR age punk glamour. “I’m giving them what they murmur between cloth and skin. “Elegance LONDON FASHION EDITOR, AMANDA ELIASCH. don’t know they want,” she once said, and for is not being noticed, but being remem‑ four decades she did exactly that—sending bered,” he liked to say, turning soft jackets otherworldly silhouettes down runways that looked less like shows and desaturated palettes into the global dialect of modern power. than jailbreaks from boringly pedestrian fashion. His belief that “luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not luxury” now reads as both design rule and moral code in an age of disposable excess. OLIVIERO TOSCANI Oliviero was born in Milan in 1942, and understood that in fashion, the most dangerous accessory is the camera. He was the image‑maker behind United Colors of MARINA YEE Born in 1958 in Antwerp, Yee made her reputation by Benetton’s AIDS , racism, and death‑row campaigns, he turned treating the suit not as a finished object but as raw material. Her deconstructed, upcycled tailoring turned “discarded” garments a knitwear label into a global morality play. “Advertising is the into “objects of memory,” their seams and ghosts deliberately left richest and most powerful form of communication,” he argued, visible. Long before sustainability was a PowerPoint slide, Yee’s refusing to waste it on airbrushed fantasies. From VOGUE and work argued that the future might be hiding in the stockroom Elle spreads to the notorious No Anorexia billboard, Toscani marked “past season.” didn’t just shoot clothes; he forced fashion to look at itself—and at the world it preferred to crop out. ROSITA MISSONI Rosita Missoni was born in 1931 in Golasecca, Together, these six leave behind a kind of unwritten dress Lombardy, and proved that knitwear could feel like a portable code for the century: Armani’s ease, Yee’s conscience, Missoni’s Italian sunset. “Color is the most important thing. It’s like music – chromatic joy, Hogg’s punk delirium, Keaton’s trench‑coat you can create infinite variations,” she said, explaining the zigzags defiance, Toscani’s moral provocation. “What you wear tells and space‑dyes that made the iconic Missoni brand a chromatic the world who you are,” Armani noted; our dearly departed shorthand for l a do l ce v i t a. Her insistence that fashion should be responded, each in their own medium, that the most enduring timeless rather than trend‑chasing now feels like a sly rebuke to styles are the ones that defy convention. andra Vergara jumps on our interview from her living room in West Hollywood—a sunlit, boho-chic space, lined with her own artwork, and anchored by a “catio” (a portmanteau of cat and patio) where Loki and Suki, her self-described “catdogs,” patrol like fuzzy guardians of the realm. Today, she’s wearing beige Alo sweats, a Skims bodysuit, a Lululemon cardigan, and white socks, the kind of elevated loungewear uniform that suggests a woman who expects life to show up at her door at any moment—and intends to be camera-ready when it does. Ask her to describe herself in five words and she answers like someone workshopping a manifesto: visionary, multidimensional, cerebral, cheeky, hilarious. That mix tracks for a woman whose life has pinballed between continents, careers, and near-death experiences, and who is currently plotting a psychology-meets-spirituality platform while also self-deprecating about a “please don’t show my bunion” that stands between her and a closet full of Louboutins. Sandra’s story begins in Colombia, in a family defined by fierce feminine energy, culture, and a complicated kind of love. She was adopted at birth by her biological aunt—“my auntie’s my mom”— after her biological mother—who Sandra claims suffered brain damage from loss of oxygen at birth—was unable to parent beyond an emotional age of about 12. Sandra never met her biological father, the result of what she shrugs off as a one-night stand, but she grew up with four siblings, one of whom she lost when she was only nine, a grief that detonated her childhood and forced her to grow up faster than everyone else in the room. Followed by a painful period where visa issues kept her in Colombia while the rest of her family left for the United States, she nearly died herself when a ruptured appendix spiraled into septic shock; she spent weeks in the ICU on a ventilator, watched her hair fall out, then showed up to prom in a wig she later yanked off so she could perform with a crop of short hair and a sense of humor that refused to die. “That’s my personality,” she says; the punchline always has teeth. Bullying came too, oddly, for being “too white” in Colombia— nicknames like Snow White, Edward Scissorhands, even Michael Jackson echoing down school hallways—but she insists she was still the life of the party. She rose above it, building resilience and emotional intelligence out of the same raw material that might have made someone else brittle. It is this blend—vulnerability welded to humor— that later fuels her obsession with psychology, recovery, and helping people “stay connected even when the shit hits the fan.” At 17, she landed in America and moved in with Sofia Vergara (Modern Family, Griselda, America’s Got Talent), the famous sister who, for all intents and purposes, became her greatest blessing. She started as Sofia’s makeup artist, absorbing the industry from the chair up, before a Hollywood party introduced her to a manager who asked the question that changed her career: Had she ever thought about acting? “I’ve been the class clown and an actor my whole life,” she replied— and soon she was on sets, landing roles in projects like Fright Night alongside Colin Farrell and guest spots on television. The turning point came when she realized she loved playing herself. A meeting with RuPaul, Dr. Terry Dubrow, and E! led to Good Work, a plastic-surgery-and-beauty talk show where Sandra served as beauty expert, dissecting the good and bad with a mix of empathy and mischief. From there she floated through high-gloss media roles in New York with Yahoo Lifestyle developing the shoppable show Hooked, and eventually back to LA as a west coast correspondent for People (The TV Show), where she toggled between celebrity interviews
with Rihanna and Bono and human-interest stories like adaptive fashion runway shows for people with disabilities. Behind the red carpets, though, life was unraveling in quieter, more dangerous ways. A toxic relationship in her mid-20s opened the door to addiction, and eventually she checked herself into rehab, beginning a sobriety journey that would become a cornerstone of her identity. After People, she returned to treatment, got serious about recovery, and enrolled online at Sober College to become a certified recovery specialist, now working toward her CADC credential so she can counsel others through the same darkness she survived. “I think I have a PhD in life,” she jokes, but the line lands less like a punch and more like a thesis. She is an ambassador for the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI), committed to sharing resources around mental health and planning more one-on-one work, workshops, and advocacy as her platform grows. Her Instagram persona as a brain- and life-coach-in-progress is not a gimmick; it is an extension of a woman who refuses to be “just funny,” insisting instead on being entertaining and transformative. Then came Netflix. A general meeting led to a question—would she be interested in real estate? She got her license, joined the Oppenheim Group on Selling Sunset, and found herself in a highoctane ecosystem where ambition, fashion, image, and performance blur together in a way that feels strangely familiar. As a rookie agent, her on-camera story centered on learning the business in real time, but for Sandra, the bigger revelation was how naturally her existing skill set—reading people, translating emotion, performing under pressure—translated into this new chapter. Off-duty, she lives in elevated athleisure: Alo and Fit Mama for Pilates, classic Nike and Skims, Wildfox and Helmut Lang, and an overall aesthetic she defines as more New York than over-the-top Latin. “I’m not gonna be wearing a bolero dress anytime soon,” she laughs; think tights, skirts, and boots, not cliché telenovela glamour. New York remains the city of her heart—“where I feel most at home than any other place”—a place that, paradoxically, quiets her famously active mind. Ask her for her passions and helping people tops her list, followed by painting and drumming, then making others feel “100% themselves,” a talent her friends credit to her resilience, inner clarity and authenticity. On cringy moments, she shares mortifying memories of a love poem read aloud to a boy who laughed, chicken-cutlet bra inserts slipping out at the worst possible moment, leaving her false eyelash sticking to boyfriend’s back. Her recurring nightmares of sleep paralysis—now mostly faded in sobriety—stand in contrast to her waking dream: an endeavor called the Alignment Blueprint. The project, already in development, blends psychology, neuroscience, and spiritual intelligence into a framework meant to help people live in deeper alignment with who they really are, delivered through one-on-one sessions, seminars, workshops, and a planned podcast and book. “Redefining success as something that feels beautiful internally, not just impressive externally” is how she describes her superpower. It is a line that could double as the logline for her entire life: the boho-chic West Hollywood pad, the catdogs on leashes, the talk shows and red carpets and reality-TV arcs are all just set dressing. The real Sandra Vergara is doing something far less visible and infinitely more interesting—turning every wound, every reinvention, every joke into a blueprint for how to be fully, unapologetically yourself, whether the cameras are rolling or not. Confession: I’m not usually a pattern person. But winter has a way of changing my mind. This season, I fell—hard—for Giambattista’s beautifully patterned suit and Vaquera’s faux-patterned fur coat, both proving that a little visual drama can be very chic when done right. I DIDN’T SET OUT TO WRITE A CHILDREN’S BOOK. I SET OUT TO LISTEN TO MY BEES.... BY LAURA JONES DUNN, LUXURY DIRECTOR @LAURADUNN
The Humming Garden arrived the way many meaningful things do...very slowly at first, and then...all at once. It began as a whisper for my grandchildren, Peach and Finn. And then it became a way to speak gently to estranged grandparents. And somewhere along the way, it revealed itself as a love letter to my bees—those fuzzy little teachers of devotion, memory, and a quiet agreement to look after all that truly matters. The story lives in a garden because gardens are where generations meet. Where time softens. Where hands remember what minds sometimes forget. In The Humming Garden, two children pass through a gate marked Darling—a name I was anointed by my daughter after I made it very clear I had no intention of answering to “Grandma,” a word that felt ridiculous for a woman my age. My own mother, the Queen herself, Arlene, was Nana. Her grace, her tenderness, and her unmistakable presence move quietly through these pages. What the children discover beyond the gate is not magic in the theatrical sense, but something rarer: safety, belonging, and the gentle truth that love does not disappear when people do. As a beekeeper, I’ve learned that the smallest beings often hold the most enlightened wisdom. Bees hum not for attention, but for alignment. They work for the future, not applause. Writing this book felt the same. It was never about trends or timing. It was about creating something gentle enough to be trusted—and strong enough to last. When The Humming Garden unexpectedly became a #1 Best Selling New Book on Amazon, two days ago...I celebrated...
but not because of the ranking. I celebrated because it meant the story found its way into hands that needed it. most. Parents. Grandparents. Children. Readers who understand that healing doesn’t have to be loud to be real. This book is now traveling—passed from bedside tables to nurseries, from gardens to gift boxes. Each copy I give is now crowned with a small gold seal, not as a symbol of success, but as a reminder: stories are meant to be honored. If you’re reading this page, consider it an invitation. To slow down. To tend what matters. To remember that what we leave behind is not our titles, but our kindness, tenderness and love. After all, if we’re lucky, we don’t grow old.... we simply become Darlings. With All The Love The World Forgot to Say, Laura Jones Dunn
Step into The Humming Garden-a luminous tale of love, hope, healing and wonder. Guided by Darling… with her two little companions, Peach and Finn who follow the Hum of the bees into a secret world where love remembers, even when families have forgotten how. With dream like illustrations, glowing bees and a healing "Whisper" at the end of each chapter, The Humming Garden becomes a keepsake for families navigating grief, separation or estrangement. Whether read aloud at bedtime or treasured in quiet moments, it offers children reassurance, grandparents hope and parents a path back to the hum of connection. More than a bedtime story… it’s a gentle reminder for families separated by time, distance or silence that there is always a way home. Written by Laura Jones Dunn with her trusted creative partner Golden Lion Chatter. In real life, Laura is a beekeeper and a very passionate advocate for our dwindling bee population. Just as the bees help bring life to the garden, this book helps shine a light on protecting and cherishing them—for the sake of future generations. The book is written for ages 3 to 100 and for all hearts longing to find their way home.
Laura Jones Dunn is our GENLUX luxury director, storyteller, a very serious beekeeper and very serious bee advocate. Her debut children’s book, The Humming Garden, is available globally on Amazon. A longer reflection can be found at lauradunn.com.

WHEN DOCTORS TOLD NANCY DAVIS TO PREPARE FOR A SMALLER LIFE, SHE RELENTLESSLY BUILT A BIGGER ONE INSTEAD. NCY D
In the three decades since her MS diagnosis, the philanthropist, mother, and charity founder has transformed private terror into public action—creating star-studded galas, funding breakthrough research, and, most recently, launching a powerful fight against addiction. In conversation, she is disarmingly candid and unwavering in her belief in miracles built on science. —Stephen Kamifuji
Your GPS? I’m at home in LA. Self-analysis? I’m motivated, tenacious, goal-oriented, never sleep, and never take no for an answer. Your childhood? I was one of five kids. We grew up in Denver. I was blessed with the best parents. They taught us very good values. Your mom? My insanely fun mom, Barbara Davis, is 95. She always dresses immaculately in Oscar de la Renta, Bill Blass, and Valentino. My father never wanted her to wear jeans, so she never wore them.
Your dad? My dad, Marvin Davis, never went to work without a suit and tie—even on Saturday. He was an elegant man with his monogrammed custom shirts, beautiful tie, cuff links, pocket squares—always put together. He was in the oil and film business and bought 20th Century Fox. We’d always go to the Beverly Hills Hotel and loved it, so he bought it.
with three kids, and I was devastated. I’m super fortunate to have gotten second opinions. Along the way, I realized many doctors were doing identical research, and a light went off in my head: we’ve got to put the best and the brightest together to work as a team. So I did. I created the Center Without Walls. It was virtual—way before its time—31 years ago.
Your passion? Curing diseases. Thirty-three years ago, I was diagnosed with MS, and told I would be bedridden and never walk again. I was a young mom

tions and cravings. I started CAN with my late son, Jason Davis, who had an addiction problem. He worked at my other charity, the Race to Erase MS Forever, the charity I started when I was diagnosed with MS. Jason was that little kid who, at six years old, was there by my side all the time... questioning the doctors, inspiring the doctors, getting auction items, getting entertainers, doing everything he could because he was so worried. The challenge? Addiction is a very tough fight. Too many young people are dying who shouldn’t

have to. It’s the leading cause of death in our country for people 50 years old and younger. Parent advice? Talk to your kids when they’re very young about the dangers of drugs. So often, kids might try drugs even the first time, and it’s laced with fentanyl. You don’t think that that could happen, but today, there’s a 90% chance street drugs will be laced with fentanyl. People say, “Oh, I have the best drug dealer.” There’s no such thing as the best drug dealer. The cure? We’re working on a vaccine where, if you have an opiate addiction, you could take a vaccine once, and for the rest of your life, you would never crave an opiate. Peptide research? We’re working with the GLP-1s, like Wegovy and Ozempic, yes, they help people lose weight, but they also help with drinking, gambling, and sex addictions. These drugs might be like the Holy Grail of everything. Your superpower? I’m a very organized multitasker who doesn’t need much sleep—maybe like 5 hours a night.
Sleep schedule? I got one of those Oura rings that says I’m not sleeping enough. I’m flunking in the sleep department, but I’m not tired. Flower or gardener? I’m the gardener, and the rest of my family are the flowers. I’m the one behind the scenes, making sure everybody and everything is very organized and planned. It takes a gardener.
Happy place? I love getting dressed up, going to great restaurants and parties with my friends, and being with my family. I believe in having lots of fun and finding whatever gives you happiness and pleasure. You have to mix it up. You can’t just be focused on work all the time. Side hustle? For 20 years, I’ve designed my Peace and Love Jewelry by Nancy Davis.
Favorite designer? I love to wear lots of L’Agence. They have everything— the best jeans, silk blouses, cashmere, leather jackets, and dresses. I love their beautiful gowns. It’s just the most insane line designed by Tara Ruth, who’s such a charitable person, too.
Binge-watching? Nobody Wants This. It’s so good. I know Erin Foster from growing up, and it’s her creation. I’ve known her dad, David Foster, forever.
What shoes? I find myself comfortable in CHANEL, Manolo Blahnik, and Christian Dior.
Your hubby? He’s smart, kind, and remarkably even-tempered and always does the right thing. And he’s the most amazing dad and a genuinely good person inside and out.
Go-to shops? I love to go to Neiman Marcus, Saks, and Tony Ferreira’s beautifully curated store, The Swan House, on Canon Drive. He has things you can’t buy anywhere. I go to L’Agence, Veronica Beard, and I love Polo Ralph Lauren for that classic, comfortable preppy look.
Character change? To believe in myself more. Is that possible? Yeah, I need to believe in myself more.
First meeting? We met 33 years ago. After my divorce, I didn’t want to meet anybody as long as I lived. I was done with marriage. I’m like never, never, never! Strangely, I met Ken the first
month after finalizing the divorce. I’d taken my kids skiing. It was Valentine’s Eve, and I went to a party at the China Club in Aspen—which I usually wouldn’t do—and I met him. He was living in New York, and I was in LA. It all worked out. Favorite getaways? Paris! Summers in Saint-Tropez and Nice. New York, and I love Palm Beach. Spiritual background? I’m Jewish and definitely believe in God. Since my son passed away, I’m much more spiritual than I ever was. Every morning, I have gratitude prayers, and I click into knowing what I need. It keeps me very centered and makes me realize all the goodness in life. It also helps me avoid the bad things that I can’t fix. 2030 goal? I’d love to have FDA approval on five drugs to save lives and change the whole trajectory of addiction. Taking the shame away and empowering us the second we see that a loved one has an addiction. I feel that Jason is always on my shoulder, watching out over me. If I could make his legacy meaningful, there’s nothing I would rather have happen. G

GENLUX Couture Skin
This season, craft a skin wardrobe that feels like quiet sophistication. Pieces that travel effortlessly from snowy mornings to resort sunsets. Complexion cared for with precision and intention. My picks belong to the woman whose skin is her signature. - Ninka B., GENLUX Beauty Contributor & Licensed Aesthetician
1.A REFINED CLEANSE
Couture skin begins with preparation. A well-chosen cleanser removes impurities without disrupting balance, leaving the complexion calm, comfortable, and prepared for the next step, serum. In these winter/resort months, cleansing should feel restorative, never stripping the skin’s protective barrier. Ninka B. recommends: iS Clinical Cleansing Complex, $49, isclinical.com
Winter/Resort skin must adapt to contrast. Cold air, sun exposure, and constant transitions between environments. A strengthening treatment supports the skin barrier, preserves firmness, and maintains clarity through seasonal shifts. Ninka B. recommends: HA5® Hydra Collagen Hydrator, $192, skinmedica.com
Hydration should never overwhelm the complexion. Like a perfectly tailored garment, it must respond to climate, lifestyle, and skin type. The right moisturizer refines texture while preserving softness and balance. Ninka B. recommends: Restorative Skin Complex with TriHex+™ , $258, alastin.com
3.THE FIRST LAYER: RADIANCE BOOSTER
In couture, the first layer defines the silhouette. Serums are formulated with smaller molecules and more concentrated ingredients, allowing active ingredients to absorb more efficiently into the skin. This is where luminosity is built. Ninka B. recommends: SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic, $185, skinceuticals.com
5.THE ESSENTIAL ACCESSORY: DAILY SPF In couture, accessories com complete the look. Daily sunscreen is the most important one. Protecting the skin from UV exposure never goes out of style, preserving its integrity season after season. Ninka B. recommends: Clé de Peau Beauté UV Protective Cream SPF 50+, $140, cledepeaubeaute.com
Couture Skin is about choosing fewer, curated skincare products. Honoring the skin through refinement. This season, let your complexion reflect the same care and intention as a perfectly chosen fashion piece. Ninka B. @ninkaglam G
