How it's made:

PCR (post consumer resin) comes from recycled postconsumer waste.

At Genie Supply, we have commissioned our own eco-friendly 50% PCR packaging in 4 base SKUs: 3031, 187018, 125007 and 12007B.

By "commissioned", we mean that we made them, and you can only get them here.

PCR plastic has a slight off-white hue due to its recycled nature, so please be aware that white plastics will not be "virgin plastic" white. PCR can be custom colored to any Pantone color from 10k+ pc per base SKU.

Screenprinting is a form of printing directly onto the packaging, made by imposing the design in layers (one layer/color of printing) onto a silk screen.

The silk screen is the pressed onto the bottle and passed over carefully with ink. Each color is one layer of printing, with a maximum of 3 screens (i.e. 3 colors) per design.

For this reason, ombré and some other types of design might not be available.

Screenprinting is priced on a per color, per face basis.

Much like silk screening, hot foil stamping is performed by creating a mold (in this case, a metal mold) of the design. The mold will be pressed into metallic foil, then applied with heat onto the packaging, to permanently affix the hot foil design onto the packaging.

Hot stamping is distinguishable by its metallic finish, but non-metallic foils (that look much like screenprinting) can also be used.

The maximum combination of hot foil + silk screen colors on a single packaging SKU is 3 / face.

Hot foils are billed per stamp per face.

Although in many cases (e.g. injection molding) packaging must be colored at the time of manufacture, in some cases, it can be custom colored postproduction via spray painting the packaging.

This paint process mattifies the packaging while coloring it, making it a more readily absorbant surface for screenprinting / hot foil.
