Gen Healthy Minds was established in 2018 and over the past four years has worked with Early Careers teams across a wide range of sectors and countries to deliver our bespoke programmes. Everything we do is designed to help you thrive and perform ar your best in work and life

Our offering is unique as we tailor our programmes around developing wellbeing and performance of Apprentices and Graduates during their journey into Early Careers.

Introduction

We are delighted to be supporting your HPE Early Careers Programme . Throughout 2023 we will be running a series of high energy 90-minute interactive online Boost Masterclasses that will support your wider development within HPE Our goal is to support you to you stay healthy, happy and be able to perform to a high level during your time at work and in your life outside of the workplace

The performance and wellbeing tools and techniques that we will teach you will equip you to take on the challenges ahead of you, both on your programme and beyond.

We will be providing content and development that we feel is most relevant at each stage of your Early Careers journey

Sam Bishop is one of the Uk’s leading performance psychologists. Sam works with elite sports men and women as well as top businessmen and women to help them achieve peak performance in their roles

OUR EXPERT TEAM

Mike has worked for nearly two decades in early careers at Barclays and more latterly through his Gen Healthy Minds business working with businesses to deliver wellbeing and performance programmes that support business growth

George is an international wellbeing speaker, coach and author who has worked with individuals and corporates for over 20 years. He has designed and delivered wellbeing courses, bootcamps and written books on the topic

• Learn about positive psychology and positive psychology techniques and how these can boost wellbeing every day

• Gain practical skills and tools to boost wellbeing including practicing gratitude, check ins and mindfulness to help you to flourish at work

Our “Boost your physical wellbeing” masterclass explores how to maximise your mental and physical energy every day to feel great and perform at your best

• Understand the energy management model

• Explore how to improve diet, activity, sleep and hydration for immediate results

• How to build healthy routines in your day and create new habits

Our “Boost your performance” – making stress your friend” masterclass will help participants make stress their friend and boost their performance

• Explore the “performance curve” and why stress is important to achieve peak performance

• Be able to recognize signs of stress and why they are manifesting themselves

• Learn tools and techniques for managing stress levels each day

Our “Boost your performance” – an introduction to performance psychology” masterclass will introduce participants to performance psychology and how it can be used in their daily lives.

Our “Boost your emotional intelligence” masterclass will help participants understand how to develop their emotional intelligence

• We look at what is emotional intelligence (EI) and why it is key to business success

• We explore the four key elements of EI

• We share top tips on how to develop your own EI every day to build greater self awareness and stronger relationships at work.

Our “Boost your performance” – removing barriers to performance will help you to tackle barriers to performing at your best

• Explore the different barriers to performance and why they occur

• Find simple ways to boost motivation and confidence

• Learn tools and techniques to boost confidence and motivation every day

Our “Boost your confidence” - battle the imposter will help you to deal with imposter syndrome when it strikes

• Explore what is confidence, how it can be created , affected and applied.

• What events and triggers can knock confidence and strategies to deal with them to maintain confidence

• Learn how to create opportunities to improve your confidence and deal with life’s inevitable knocks

What do we need from you ?

•We are all individuals and think and act in different ways so each person going through this programme will take different things from it. The key is that you make it work for you and find the tools and knowledge you can take forward into your career:

• Are open-minded to new concepts and ideas

• Are willing to give things a go and stick with them (after all it takes 21 days to form a habit!)

• Use the tools we provide you with – we know they work!

• Record your journey– we will be providing you with a journal. Every piece of research shows that journaling is one of the most powerful tools for self understanding and learning

• Actively participate, be inquisitive and make the most of the experts while you can
