Please leave all transfer instructions with the sale clerks following the auction.

TRUCKING We will work with you to find the most reasonable and economical trucking available.

Cattle must leave the sale site by Sunday so please let us know as soon as possible following the sale what your needs may be.

HERD HEALTH All cattle will have papers for interstate travel, and all bred females will be recently pregnancy checked. Buyers of bred cattle have 21 days to re-pregnancy check purchases. If any animals are found to be open please contact the seller or sale management within that 21 day period for an adjustment to be made.

Sale vet will be on site sale day and will handle all health paperwork.

ABSENTEE BIDDING If you will not be able to attend the sale, please contact Sale Management or a member of the sale staff to obtain a bidder number in order to bid over the phone.

We would like to welcome each of you back to the 6th Annual Royal Classic Sale. As a group we strive to make each season better and better and we feel we have not only surpassed last year’s offering, but have done so in a big way. As a group we have stayed diligent in our pursuit of offering you a quality product and a product that can satisfy even the most discerning of cattle producers. As you look through this lineup I’m sure you will take a quick note of the saturation of leading cow families backing this offering as well as the strong sire selection used on these leading females.

The Hansen Center is a climate-controlled environment and is a great location to showcase the fruits of this group’s labor. When you come out sale weekend, you will quickly notice that many of the bred heifers in this sale are halter broke, and the entire offering comes without any attitude issues what so ever. Another big highlight to this year’s group is that nearly every bred female sells safe to their AI dates and the ones with pasture service have known breeding dates to eliminate a lot of guess work as it comes time to calve.

This year’s sale catalog is laid out by consignor and thus the quality from the front of the sale book to the back does not waiver in terms of a breeding or quality standpoint. I strongly encourage each of you to look through this entire offering as the top lots are not necessarily in the front of the book.

Its a little bitter sweet writing this footnote. This is the last Victoria heifer to be sold at auction. I’m never lost for words when it comes to talking about our Victoria donor. She was the cornerstone of our program for eighteen and a half years before we put her down and now has her final resting spot under the Maple tree in the pasture. Victoria has a Life Time Earnings of over three quarters of a million dollars and her influence is and will be felt in our herd for many years to come. This has to be one of my favorite and most consistent mating’s we have ever done. It’s females like this we strive to bred and produce day in and day out.

This gal puts everything together as good as you can possibly design one.

K213 has a ton of rib shape, depth of body, stout boned, good footed, smooth shouldered, incredible haired, and possesses the look of a future matriarch in anyone’s donor program. We sold a full sib last years sale HSF Stormy J127 to Dean Witten, MO $12000. We sold another full sib HSF Aribella J124 to the Herman Family, MN for $9500 on Sherwood’s Cattle Company Sale. Wyatt Herman campaigned her and right out of the gate was Reserve Champion Percentage heifer at the MN Beef Expo, winning many jackpots shows and top five, and was 7th overall points heifer in MN North Star Points Series among all breeds. Lots 4, 5 & 6: Here is a trio of sisters that may all be a bit different but at the end of the day are all pretty darn good. K220 is the deepest bodied, softest made one.

K217 is the combination female she is the stoutest, biggest boned and hipped one of the bunch. K224 is the prettiest, longest fronted female, but all are super sound structured and easy to look at. Last year we sold a full sib to these three heifers on Sherwood’s Cattle Company online sale for $9500 and she was extremely competitive this past summer being Champion heifer twice and Reserve Supreme overall once.

The Pearl donor was a main stay in our program and Hilbrands for many years being one of the top fifty most prolific cows in the Simmental breed for several years with progeny numbering in the mid one hundreds. K243 is one that can follow in her dam’s footsteps and become a donor. She is stout, big bodied, good fronted, and set down on an excellent foot and leg. There is a ton of longevity bred into this young female.
