EXPO COMMERCIAL HEIFER SHOW JUDGE

Lee Boyd, New Brockton, Alabama purebred Simmental and commercial cattle producer will be serving as judge for the 2019 Expo Commercial Heifer Show and Sale. We are pleased to have a man of Lee’s expertise and lifelong association with the production of purebred and commercial cattle. Lee acquired his first purebred heifer at the age of five. His family raised Hereford cattle, showing and selling in the consignment sales until the mid 1980’s when Simmental blood was introduced to the herd. From that point Boyd Simmentals emerged until today where 125 Black Simmental brood cows graze the pastures. Boyd Simmental is active in A.I. breeding and embryo transfer. Lee participates with top consignments each year to the Southeast All Black Classic and the Florida Bull Test at Marianna, Florida. An avid participant in the Junior Shows for many years, with Lee’s son Bo showing throughout his youth years and now Lee’s grandson Dow showing at the state, regional and national level. At the 2018 Alabama State Show, Dow showed the Supreme and Res. Supreme Heifers! Lee Boyd has been associated with quality beef cattle his entire life and we look forward to his being with us at the 2019 Expo Commercial Heifer Sale.
