The location is at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1021 Spaight Street in Madison near East Washington. The format is simple, it’s a speaker meeting hence the name. The speaker shares for about 30 to 35 minutes and then we usually go out for fellowship after. Also, we may have one of the best views of lake Monona while getting to hear the NA message. As of right now, we are averaging 26 people per meeting, which is a great start. Come join us for cookies, coffee and a speaker.

H&I Report May 15, 2022 Badgerland H&I is pleased to announce the re-opening of inperson meetings at the Dane Co. Jails downtown Madison. We currently have 2 Women’s & 2 Men’s meetings up and running.

We were proud to be ready to go with volunteers when they gave us the signal this past week.

The residents were excited to see us and there were requests for literature and step working guides. Here is an update from Mike R. on our Oakhill facility: Carl R. and Gregg B. Have been to two Oakhill H & I meetings and by next Tuesday both will have chaired. It’s a different type of H & I meeting as we normally have the same core group of attendees. This is more like a regular meeting so I think the abilities of anyone who has chaired meetings can follow a format. They know the room location, how to get the guards to unlock it, where the literature is kept, where to put the sign in sheet afterwards etc. Can you please let me know when Kenneth is approved and ready to go in for some training. I will get with Charles and John H. to make sure everyone has all the contacts. We can keep each other updated and how to always keep this meeting going maybe adding another in time. Tellurian has reached out to us and would like the area to begin an inperson meeting. Technically this doesn’t fall into H&I territory and like the Residence Hotel issue we’ll need to discuss it as an Area action. Badgerland H&I is planning it’s quarterly meeting June 25th.
