• Jennifer requested $108 under public relations for literature for New Start. Public relations will add to budget next year. Genaro made a motion, Keelyn seconded, and no objections.

• TOPIC BOARD DISCUSSIONS: • Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Eve are required activities within our policies and procedures.

Need volunteers.

• Motion to create a policy for new sub committee for social media.

BASC Secretary Report October 15, 2023 Dear Fellow Members, I am pleased to present the monthly report for the position of Badgerland Narcotics Anonymous Area Secretary for the month of October. This report outlines the tasks I have completed during this period to support our organization in carrying out its primary purpose: to carry the message of recovery to the still-suffering addict.

1. Meeting Minutes: I have continued to maintain accurate and comprehensive meeting minutes for our monthly Area Service Committee (ASC) meetings. These minutes include details on the discussions, decisions, and actions taken during the meetings. The minutes for the meeting held on [Date] have been documented and will be circulated for review and approval.

2. Checked the PO Box: I have checked the Area’s PO Box regularly to ensure that all mail, communications, and any necessary materials are received and distributed appropriately.

3. Subcommittee Support: I have been in contact with various subcommittee chairs to offer support and ensure they have the resources they need to carry out their service work effectively. This includes helping to address any challenges or questions they may have.

4. Planning for Next Month: As we look ahead to the next month, I am already working on the agenda and preparations for the next ASC meeting, which is scheduled for [Date]. Please share any topics or concerns that you would like to include in the meeting agenda.

5. Communication: I have been in regular communication with our Area Chair, other Area Officers, and subcommittee chairs. This includes email correspondence, phone calls, and any other necessary communication to ensure that the Area’s business is running smoothly.

In conclusion, I am committed to fulfilling my role as Badgerland Narcotics Anonymous Area Secretary and supporting the growth of our fellowship. I am open to any feedback or suggestions that you may have to help us improve our services and carry the message of recovery effectively.

Public Relations Subcommittee Report October 15, 2023 Good Afternoon, if any groups have changes, updates or additions, Mike R. can update these for you right now 1. Billboard Siigns: Mike and I met with a representative from Lamar Sign Company about putting up billboards for NA . She gave us the rundown about have signs put up on Highway 51 between Janesville & Beloit and on Highway 14 at the new roundabout just south of Oregon. She also had Packers Ave. in Madison might be available, however, getting a sign put up there would be almost impossible for it being a very popular place for businesses to put up billboards.THe billboards are scheduled to go up next spring or summer. The representative also agreed to send to send the new sign design to the our representative at Madison Metro to have her start producing our bus tail signs for next year. Thank you Area for your financial support in these two projects that will further our help for the still-suffering addict 2. Events: Our committee attended Rock for Recovery on October 11th in Janesville and we shared with and informed the public about Narcotics Anonymous, This puts an end to the events we will be attending this year and we feel that this year’s event attendence was a success and we hope to continue our participation in further events in the future 3. County Courts: No further contacts have been made with any county courts in the counties of our Area at this time. Further contacts may be planned.

4. At this time the committee has no reccomendation or nomination for next year’s PR chairperson.

5. In the event that there is no PR chair elected for next year, the current committee will help out with next year’s PR budget, put on monthly subcommittee meetings & help out with yearly events.

H&I Report

October 15, 2023 H&I continues it’s in person weekly meetings for Dane County inmates at our downtown facilities as well as the Oak Hill Prison. We have also resumed meetings at the Tellurian Detox Center and continue our virtual meetings as Sauk County Jail. Currently we are only achieving 50% attendance on the part of our volunteers and are in need of recruiting more.

Current stock sits at a cash total of $1965.95. September sales were $214. $60 of JFT to Elisia. $77.5 Basic texts to 5Door, bringing the total of texts gifted to them to $160.25.

Tellurian meeting arranged with the director Christine Volzer continues Thursday nights at 7pm at the Femrite Drive location.
