BASC Secretary Report November 12, 2023 Dear Fellow Members, I am honored to present the monthly report for the position of Badgerland Narcotics Anonymous Area Secretary for the month of October. The following outlines the tasks I have completed during this period, contributing to the smooth operation and growth of our fellowship: 1. Meeting Minutes: I have diligently recorded and maintained accurate meeting minutes for our monthly Area Service Committee (ASC) meetings. These minutes document crucial details, discussions, decisions, and actions taken during our gatherings. The minutes for the meeting held on October 10th have been recorded and will be shared for review and approval. 2. Checked the PO Box: Regular checks of the Area’s PO Box have been conducted to ensure the prompt reception and distribution of all mail, communications, and essential materials. This ensures that we stay informed and connected as an Area. 3. Halloween Function: The Halloween function has concluded. I am pleased to report that the event was a resounding success. It provided an enjoyable and festive occasion for our members, fostering unity and camaraderie within the fellowship. 4. Literature Order Forms: In line with our commitment to provide valuable resources to our members, I have printed literature order forms. These forms will facilitate the seamless distribution of NA literature, supporting our primary purpose of carrying the message of recovery to those in need. 5. Website Vendor Proposal: I have thoroughly reviewed a proposal from a potential vendor for our website services. This is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our online presence and ensure that our digital platforms effectively serve the needs of our members. 6. Communication: I have maintained open lines of communication with our Area Chair, other Area Officers, and subcommittee chairs. This includes regular email correspondence, phone calls, and any necessary communication to ensure that the Area’s business is conducted efficiently. 7. Subcommittee Support: In providing support to various subcommittee chairs, I have assisted in addressing challenges and ensuring they have the necessary resources to carry out their service work effectively. Supporting subcommittees is crucial to the overall success of our Area. In conclusion, I am committed to fulfilling my responsibilities as the Badgerland Narcotics Anonymous Area Secretary. I remain open to feedback and suggestions as we work together to carry the message of recovery and strengthen our fellowship. Thank you for entrusting me with this service position, and I am dedicated to serving to the best of my ability. Yours in service, Marc M Secretary Badgerland Area of Narcotics Anonymous

Public Relations Subcommittee Report November 12, 2023
Good afternoon ASC, my name is Mark and I’m an addict and my time as Public Relations subcommittee chairperson is winding dow n. It’s been a great almost 2 years and PR work still continues and here is the work that is ongoing and the committee hopes to continue in the years to come . 1. Bus Signs: A.Tail bus signs: Our Reperesentative from Madison Metro has received the payment for 2 tail bus signs to be displayed next spring on the Madison buses. She was given the new design by Lamar Advertising, the people doing our billboards next year. She also returned 20 unused bus signs to us for us to send to Houck Advertising who in charge putting bus sings up on the Janesville/Beloits City buses. Mike is asking for $32,88 for shipping these bus signs to Houck in St.Paul Mn so they could install them in the Janesvill/Beloit buses We paid these guys $525.90 for next years’ display 2. Events: 1. Review of the years’ events---1. Overdose Awareness Walk 2. Rally for Recovery & 3, Rock for Rcovery. We went over these events and decided to continue with them in the future. 3. Billboard signs: Mike & I have contacted Lamar Advertising for putting up an NA Billboard next year in our Area. We met with a representative from Lamar and they agreed to put up a billboard next spring or summer on either Hwy 51 between Janesville & Beloit or on Hwy 14 around the new roundabout just north of Oregon. We paid them $600 to begin the process 4. County Courts: no more on this one, our current contact for Rock County is the Clerk of Court. We have more county courts to contact and maybe in the future 5. Janesville Gazette: After repeated attempts to have this newspaper correct our listing in their Friday listing of communities agencies and help groups the Committee decided to tell them to just take our listing of NA meetings in the area off their list. 6. The committee discussed the idea of having the Literature Chairpersojn stockpile 2000 of the business cards in boxes of 250 to sell at $8.00 a box to those addicts who can use them 7. 2024 Budget: Mike , Carl & I have promised to help the new incoming chairperson to write up the budget for next year. tis can be a daunting task and we three are familiar with this undertaking and are glad to be of service to this subcommittee in all ways The next PR subcommittee meeting will be on December 8th at NOON CST on Zoom Zoom ID: 876 4582 7208 PWD: 2020 In Loving Service, Mark S.
