REPORT: Nameless Monday is doing well. We have 6 home group members and averaging about 10 people a week. Just a reminder that we are hosting Bowling for Newcomers, April 7th at Ten Pin Alley. 9pm to 11pm, right after the Friday night meeting. We are asking for 20$ per person, anyone with 6 months will bowl for free. - We sent the flyer to Tellurian and 5 door with hopes of them participating. Please come for the newcomer, and for the old-timer.

Public Relations Subcommittee Report
March 12, 2023
Good afternoon, Area…The PR subcommittee is already starting another productive year in the area of Public Relations. We will be having PR subcommittee meetings for 8 or 9 months, In January, February, April, May, July, August, October, November & possibly December. We will be holding these meetings at 11am just before the Noon Area Service meeting, most likely in Mike’s Jeep on the way to the Goodman Center and online at 876 4582 7208 PWD 2020. Come join us!! We are all PR!!
!. Bus Signs: This is the last month for our bus signs to be displayed on the Madison city busrs this year. Maybe in the future we can get funding for months in the years to come. The bus signs are still being displayed on the Janesville And Beloit buses on a continuing basis.
2. Public Service Announcements: No new news on PSAs this month. We will hopefully be working with the RDs from Wisconsin and Greater Illinois and possibly Chicagoland and as well as Bob S, from NAWS to come up with a plan to come up with a Worldwide PSA to present to the corporate owners of various TV networks around the world
3. Business Cards: Our committee has close to 6000 business cards in stock for this year for the purpose of individual addicts to pass out to the public and for the comittee to use at our 3 scheduled public events that will be held in the second half of this year. Each card has the website and helpline number on the front and QR codes for the Area and Region websites as well as Na literature in PDF form.
4. Signs: Our committe has purchaed 8 by 11 inch laminared signs, 74 in all for $171,75, to be displayed in all of the communities of the Badgerland Area if possible. The signs will be passed out at our workshop planned in June with the below-mentioned picnic. We reccomend the signs be put up in convienence stores, cop shoppe, hospitals. libraries, grocery stores, etc. We may hand them out earlier than thr picnic
5. Picnic: Our committee has brainstormed up the idea to have i picnic on June 3rd 2023 at Leota Park in Evansvile. Thank you Area for approving the $300 to put this event for our Area. The park pavillion is reserved and the flyer is forthcoming. Our committee has comitted to do a PR worshop for all who attend and we have the H & I Chair if he would like his committee to do so, too. This picnic is our Area’s way of kicking the worldwide PR week which runs from June 5th through June 10th.

H&I Report

Badgerland H&I is emerging from a slump in jail meeting attendance. We have had five new volunteers begin the vetting process for becoming volunteers at the downtown jails. The last few months we have seen a fifty percent reduction in volunteers stepping up to lead meetings. It will be good to see this making a turnaround. Within the next few weeks meetings will be held with active Dane Co. Jail volunteers to address issues concerning sign up and participation in this vital outreach program. Sauk County Jail Virtual meetings will begin this Tue. 3/14/23 with a once a week meeting being held. This project has taken three years to complete and we thank all our volunteers for their patience and continued service. Badgerland Area PR Committtee and Badgerland H&I will conduct a joint workshop in Evansville Sat. June 3rd. Details & poster to follow.
