ART BASEL PARIS 2024 Show Director Clément Delépine shares the highlights of the fair's third edition, and how he plans to redefine the contemporary art experience at Art Basel Paris 2024. 展示ディレクターのクレマン・ドゥレピーヌ氏が、 第三回目となるアート・バーゼル・パリ 2024 の見どころと、 現代アート体験を再定義する試みについて語ります。
Art Basel Paris 2024 marks the dawn of an exciting new era with a fresh venue, an innovative sector, and a renewed identity. Under the adept leadership of Clément Delépine, who is guiding the fair into its third year, this edition promises to be a transformative celebration of contemporary art. Set in the iconic and newly renovated Grand Palais from October 18 to 20, the fair, which has been renamed to Art Basel Paris, will showcase an impressive roster of 194 distinguished galleries from 42 countries and territories, including 64 galleries operating spaces in France—an increase of 40 galleries compared to the 2023 edition. One of the most eagerly anticipated innovations is the introduction of the Premise sector, designed to offer unparalleled curatorial freedom and push the boundaries of traditional art presentation. Delépine’s vision for Art Basel Paris 2024 is once more full of surprises and driven by his inventive spirit. フランス発のアーティスト・イン・レジデンス「ヴィラ九条山」 Située à Kyoto, Higashiyama, une montée raide depuis la station Keage mène à un bâtiment ouvert combinant béton et verre, niché à mi-chemin sur une montagne luxuriante. Entourée par une nature belle et tranquille et surplombant le paysage urbain de Kyoto, la Villa Kujoyama est un lieu prestigieux pour les artistes en résidence depuis son ouverture, célébrant son 30e anniversaire en 2022. Located in Kyoto, Higashiyama, a steep climb from Keage Station leads to an open building combining concrete and glass nestled halfway up a lush mountain. Surrounded by beautiful, tranquil nature and overlooking the cityscape of Kyoto, Villa Kujoyama has been a prestigious artist-in-residence since its opening, celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2022. 京都、東山。蹴上駅から急な坂道を登っていくと、緑深い山の中腹にコンクリートとガ ラスを組み合わせた開放的な建物が姿をあらわします。美しく静かな自然に囲まれ、京 都の街並みを一望できる「ヴィラ九条山」。2022 年に開館 30 周年を迎えた、伝統あ るアーティスト・イン・レジデンスです。

田名網敬一 が遺したもの
記憶と虚構が混在する極彩色の世界 ペインティングやコラージュ、アニメーションから立体作品まで、ジャ ンルにとらわれず 60 年以上にわたり日本のアートシーンを牽引した田 名網敬一氏の初の大規模回顧展「田名網敬一 記憶の冒険」 が、８月７ 日より国立新美術館で開催されています。開催に情熱を注いできた田名 網氏でしたが、開幕２日後の８月９日、享年 88 歳で永眠。本稿では田 名網敬一氏のアーティスト人生を振り返るとともに、展覧会開幕前に取 材した、田名網氏最後となるインタビューをお届けします。

KEIICHI TANAAMI A Vivid World of Blended Memory and Fiction Keiichi Tanaami’s first major retrospective, The Adventure of Memory , has been on display at the National Art Center, Tokyo, since August 7. Known for his paintings, collages, animations, and sculptures, Tanaami led Japan’s art scene for over 60 years, crossing multiple genres. While he poured his passion into the exhibition, Tanaami sadly passed away on August 9, two days after its opening, at the age of 88. This article not only reflects on the remarkable life of Keiichi Tanaami as an artist but also presents his last interview, conducted just before the exhibition’s opening.

Third Generation Japanese Postwar Artist 日本戦後第三世代のアーティスト Etsu Egami, an artist of the post-war third generation following in the footsteps of Takashi Murakami and Yayoi Kusama, has been gaining international attention for her work exploring the essence of communication. Her artistic approach, inspired by personal experiences of “misheard” words during her time abroad, reflects the nuances and gaps in language. Recognised for her global creative efforts, she was listed among Forbes 30 under 30 Asia in 2021. We spoke with her about the origins of her work and her vision for the future. 村上隆氏、草間彌生氏に続く戦後第三世代の日本アーティストとして世界で注目される江上越氏。 長い海外生活の間によく経験したという「聞き間違い」。そんな「言葉のズレ」の体験をもとに、 コミュニケーションの本質を表現するアートに取り組むワールドワイドな創作活動が評価され、 Forbes Asia の「Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2021」にも選出されました。そんな江上越氏の作 品はどう生まれたのか、そしてどこに向かうのかをお聞きしました。

In the heart of Switzerland, an exclusive group of supercar enthusiasts gathers for an unmissable event that brings together cuttingedge technology and prestigious design – the Geneva Supercar Show. Now in its second year, the event showcases twenty of the most soughtafter supercars, offering a glimpse into the future of high-performance automotive engineering. Manoj Bairstow, the Director and Founder of the show envisioned a different kind of car event. “Our clients told us,” he explains, “We don’t need thousands of people.
