Welcome to the latest edition of "Gen de Art." Upon turning the cover, a collection of captivating experiences from around the world awaits, carefully curated by our team. Some of our members have returned with intriguing stories from events like the "CRAFT SAKE WEEK 2023" and the "Tokyo International BarShow 2023" in Japan. We had the privilege to indulge in soulstirring musical performances at the Beethoven Festival in the picturesque town of Beaune, France. We emba rked on a jou r ney t o V ien n a t o
witness Yoshitomo Nara's solo exhibition, "Yoshitomo Nara: All My Little Words," where we had the opportunity to directly experience h i s u n ique a r t i s t ic ex pre s sion . Th rou gh dialogues with Nara, we were able to sense the wellspring of his creativity, his affection for his hometown, and his fervor for artistic creation.

陽光が地球を温め、生命が活動する季節が訪れ ました。この美しい季節に感謝しつつ、芸術の感 性を解き放ち、素晴らしい旅に身を任せるひとと きをお過ごしください。 「Gen de Art」最新号 へのご案内です。 表紙をめくると、私たちのチームが集めてきた世 界各地の興味深い体験が待っています。日本で は「CRAFT SAKE WEEK 2023」 や「Tokyo International BarShow 2023」に参加し、面 白い話題を持ち帰ったメンバーもいます。フラン スの美しい町ボーヌで開催されたベートーヴェン フェスティバルでは、心に響く音楽パフォーマン スを堪能しました。
ウィーン で 開 催 さ れ た 奈 良 美 智 氏 の 個 展 「Yoshitomo Nara: All My Little Words」に 足を運び、彼の独特な芸術表現を直接体験しま した。奈良氏との対話から、彼の創造性の源泉 や故郷への愛情、創作活動への情熱を感じるこ とができました。
ワインに興味のある方々は、Domaine Leflaive の Brice de la Morandière 氏 や Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair の Louis-Michel Liger-Belair 氏との対話を楽しんでいただける ことでしょう。彼らからワインと人々との繋がりに ついて深い洞察を得ることができました。

"Our world is showing its unique smallness daily, and sometimes weekly, an aspect that holds significant implications for institutions like ours, an art museum. When our museum was founded in the 18th century, our founder, Duke Albert of Saxe-Teschen, wished to represent the entire art world through a series of works ranging from Italian, French, and German paintings, from Michelangelo to Dürer. Today, the world is simultaneously expanding and shrinking. We can travel from Tokyo to Beijing, to Rome in an instant. Therefore, we must broaden our artistic perspective to comprehend the entire world. How can we understand the world without taking into account Japanese culture and art?"

A Feast for the Senses 感覚の宴
The Beethoven Festival in Beaune is a beloved celebration of chamber music that draws music enthusiasts from around the world to the picturesque town of Beaune in Burgundy. Created in 2018 by Sung-Won Yang, cellist, and artistic director, in collaboration with Frédéric Mugnier from Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, the festival celebrates the unifying power of music to bring people together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Recently concluding its fifth edition, "Deep Root," the festival featured international artists and exceptional performances that left a lasting impression on attendees. ベートーヴェン・ボーヌ祭は、世界中の音楽愛好家をブルゴーニュ地方の絵のような 町、ボーヌに引き寄せる室内楽の祝典として愛されています。2018 年にチェリスト であり芸術監督のヤン・スンウォン氏と、ドメーヌ・ジャック・フレデリック・ミュ ニエのフレデリック・ミュニエ氏との共同で創設されたこの祭りは、暖かく歓迎的な 雰囲気の中で人々を結びつける音楽の力を祝います。最近終了した第 5 回目の開催は "Deep Root" というテーマで、国際的なアーティストたちの卓越したパフォーマン スが、出席者に深い印象を残しました。
The festival is the brainchild of Mugnier, a wine producer and Beethoven enthusiast who wanted to share his passion for music with others. He believes that Beethoven's music can touch people's hearts and bring them together, regardless of cultural or linguistic differences. Mugnier's deep appreciation for Beethoven's music inspired him and Yang to create a festival that celebrates not only music but also cultural heritage and nature. The festival's values align with those of Beethoven, who was passionate about s o c i a l j u s t i ce a n d d e m o c racy. T h e festival's programming reflects these values by offering diverse and accessible performances that cater to all audiences. "The festival is for everyone, not just music experts," says Yang. "We want to make Beethoven's music accessible to as many people as possible and showcase its beauty and universality."

A young w ine estate Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair wa s created in t he ea rly 2000s by Comte L ouis-Michel L i gerBelair, oenologist and agricultural engineer, who comes from the family with a complex background in winemaking. LigerBelair resurrected the family estate with his own hands, proudly leading the winery to its international success over the years. Today, the estate produces over 15 different wine blends from grapes harvested across various villages in Burgundy. Tokyo's Roppongi Hills Arena hosted the largest Japanese sake event, 'CRAFT SAKE WEEK 2023 at ROPPONGI HILLS,' from April 21st to 30th, gathering 100 carefully selected breweries from across the country. 東京・六本木ヒルズアリーナにて、全国から選りすぐり の 100 蔵が一堂に会する日本最大級の日本酒イベント 「CRAFT SAKE WEEK 2023 at ROPPONGI HILLS」 が 4 月 21 日から 30 日まで盛大に開催されました。

The Tokyo International BarShow, one of the biggest events in the alcoholic beverage and bar industries, has returned after a four-year hiatus due to the pandemic. The event, held on the 13th and 14th of May at Tokyo Dome City, Prism Hall, was hosted by the Cocktail Culture Foundation, which is chaired by STAR BAR GINZA legend Hisashi Kishi. This year's event brought together 54 exhibitors from around the world, showcasing the very best in the industry. The world-renenowned Japanese whisky brands, including Suntory, Nikka, and Ichiro's Malt, were among the highlights of the event. The show buzzed with an electrifying atmosphere as industry insiders and passionate liquor enthusiasts came together to exchange knowledge, expertise, and revel in the sheer delight of cocktails, whiskeys, spirits, as well as the latest tools, glasses, and other bar essentials.
コロナウイルスの影響で 4 年間開催されなかったアルコール飲料 業界とバー業界の最大のイベント、東京インターナショナルバー ショーが、ついに復活しました。2023 年 5 月 13 日と 14 日に東 京ドームシティ・プリズムホールで開催されたこのイベントは、 STAR BAR GINZA のレジェンドである岸久氏が理事長を務める 一般財団法人カクテル文化振興会によって主催されました。 今年のイベントには、世界中から集まった 54 の出展者が参加し、 業界最高のものを展示しました。サントリー、ニッカ、イチロー ズモルトなどの世界的に有名な日本のウイスキーブランドもイベ ントのハイライトの一つでした。業界関係者や熱心な酒好きが集 まり、カクテル、ウイスキー、スピリッツ、最新のツール、グラス、 その他のバーエッセンスを交換し、専門知識を共有するとともに、 大いに楽しんでいました。

Nishijin-ori
Born in Kyoto Prefecture in 1978, Masataka Hosoo is a successor to the Nishijin-ori tradition, a weaving craft dating back about 1,200 years. As the twelfth generation leader of HOSOO, a company echoing Japanese dyeing and weaving culture since its establishment in 1688, Hosoo has garnered international acclaim for the textile brand. HOSOO marries the delicate techniques of Nishijin-ori and the latest innovations, seamlessly integrating traditional beauty into the modern era. Yudai Fukuoka the Principal Who Devotes His Life to Ballet Yudai Fukuoka, the principal of the National Ballet of Japan, discovered the captivating world of ballet at the young age of seven. He polished his talents both domestically and internationally, earning him numerous awards and recognitions. This year, he was awarded the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology Award for the 4th year of the Reiwa era. In this article, we delve into Fukuoka's passion and efforts towards ballet, as well as his pursuit of artistic expression on stage.

The Beginning of a Dream Fukuoka's journey began when he was urged by his mother to attend the K-Ballet Studio, where his sister was already studying. Captivated by the allure of ballet, he began to devote himself to the art form. Fukuoka's talent blossomed, and in 2003, he was selected as a participant in the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Overseas Training Program and joined the Zurich Junior Ballet in Switzerland. He then joined the Zurich Ballet, where he further honed his skills for about five years. Upon returning to Japan in 2009, he joined the National Ballet of Japan as a soloist and performed in many productions. He was promoted to principal in 2012.

福岡さんの才能は開花し、2003 年には⽂化庁の 在外研修制度の⼀員に選ばれ、スイ スのチューリ ッヒ・ジュニアバレエ団に入団。その後チューリ ッヒ・バレエ団にも所属し、約 5 年間でその踊り をさらに磨き上げました。帰国後の 2009 年に新 国⽴劇場バレエ団 にソリストとして入団し、多く の作品で主役を務め、2012 年にはプリンシパル に昇格しました。
夢の始まり
新国⽴劇場バレエ団のプリンシパルを務める福岡 さんは、7 歳の時にバレエと出会いまし た。母に 勧められ、姉が通っていたケイ・バレエスタジオ へ⾜を運んだ彼は、バレエの魅⼒に取り憑かれ、 情熱を注ぐ道を歩み始めました。
