Generation APA (Asian Pacific American), founded in 1995, hosts our annual cultural show. Our board currently consists of 13 members, working together to present the largest student run PanAsian cultural show in the Midwest. We strive to increase awareness of identities and cultures at the University of Michigan while highlighting the multifaceted talents of students.
This years theme of "Panorama" represents a powerful lens through which to examine the plight of the Asian American community. A "Panorama" generally refers to a wide, sweeping view, often emphasizing a broad, holistic perspective. In our context, it symbolizes how the Asian American experience has been shaped by multiple, intersecting historical, cultural, and social forces, and how it continues to unfold across generations.
