They are in love.

Would you like to hear their unlikely story?

On their evening-walk, the little rabbits see an ad.

-Look at that! they exclaim.

-Look at the house in which that guy lives!

-Should we - eh - perhaps get an apartment like this?

-Yes! So they are now determined to get one like this.

It turned out not to be so easy to find one such.

Even when strong winds blew - all kinds of houses in the air the house of their dreams was not to be found.

At last -- upside down on the top of a man: The house of their dreams. They stare at it, mesmerized.

-It is far too small for him. He can get in no more than his ears.

-He is heading towards a man-hole.

The two rabbits follow him. No rational thinking can stop them.

They smell horrible odour of smoke in the man-hole.

They have never before entered a man-hole.

Being careful, they come inside, hide and look all around.

If we want to have a beautiful house, for sure something has to be done.

This we know only too well.

There is it! High up there in a tree.

-OH ! GOSH ! THE FOX !!

But it turns out to be only a dead one. What a relief.

Takes a while to get over the shock, though

How quick rabbits can be!

They steal the hat.

Luckily, they do not meet anyone on the way out.

Singing: da dee da day...

They have already decided where to put it.

Here. Right here.

The flowers are suspicious: It smells of smoke.

A chimney?

Soot and smoke is not good for our honey.

This might frighten all flies and butterflies away.

Curious rabbits gather to look.

Never in their life-times have they seen such vanity.

Life is wonderful. Our rabbits-in-love are so happy.

30 days later they get rabbit-babies.

You might want to know how two rabbits all of a sudden become 10 rabbits?

Perhaps you also want to know how all these rabbits can live in one hat?

I have no explanations.

Must be a secret -- or magic?

Sometimes something terrible happens in stories: Two boys spot the shining black hat.

-Wauw! Look at that man!

But - how could someone lose his top hat here!

This is terrible moment.

First like an earth-quake, then a flight in the air, then one of the boy screamed - as he did not expect inhabitants here.

- Wauw! A magic hat!

We are going to earn money by being magicians!

The rabbits realize that they have no choice but to flee.

They jump out -

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.

-What do we do now?

-Hurray! We need no longer stay in that hat!

We have gotten rid of the hat! yabba dabba doooo !!

-OK. It was a beautiful house, wasn't it?

Of course it caused us some trouble having to turn it upside down every time when it was raining.

But it was worth it.

-Now we'll just find an ordinary rabbit-hole.

The next youngsters are due any time.
