The Swans played thier first final since South Melbourne days, at the SCG, which attracted a sell out crowd, another historic event in this centenary year.
It is still hard, though, to have to wait until Sunday to have some finals action in the true home of football.

The court was told that the delay was caused by a trainee operator who had sent the MICA to drive to the house without lights or sirens, under normal traffic conditions. There have also been other incidents of concern that have happened since the introduction of Intergraph. These include, on August 31, a 65 minute collapse of the system leading to the pre-1960s days of dispatch via the telephone; on
August 24, a9 hour coliapse of system, 30 ex-communications staff rirgently recalled to operate pre-Intergraph system; and on July 11. a 3 7+ minute delay in alerting the fire brigade to fatal blaze in Port Melbourne.
