I hope you enjoyed a relaxing holiday season with family and friends. As we begin the new year, I want to take a moment to reflect on what we accomplished in 2025 and share what we have planned for the year ahead.

Throughout 2025, we remained focused on enhancing your experience as a General Electric Credit Union (GECU) member. These efforts were driven by our Next Gen initiative, a commitment to strengthening our relationship with you through an innovative and forwardthinking approach. One of the year’s key milestones was the launch of Violet, our first-ever virtual assistant. Available through Online Banking, our mobile app, and our website, Violet provides 24/7/365 support for commonly asked questions about our products, services, and locations. While we are always expanding Violet’s knowledge, if there’s something she can’t assist with directly, she can connect you with a GECU team member during business hours.

2025 saw the evolution of both our digital and in-branch interactions to better serve you. Our upgraded Virtual Branch makes it easier than ever to connect with GECU from anywhere. Whether you’re opening a new account or needing help with Online Banking or our mobile app, you can now get the same personalized service you expect at a branch—right from your phone or computer, with or without a camera. As we enter 2026, we look forward to building on our Next Gen efforts while staying mindful of the economic factors shaping today’s financial landscape. From global market uncertainty to cost-of-living pressures, we know there are several challenges that are affecting families across the Tri-State. To honor and support future contributors in these fields, we’re proud to launch the GECU Next Step Career Path Scholarship as a way of supporting those pursuing trade school, public service programs, certificate completion, or apprenticeships. A. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship

The Robert A. Cunnigham Memorial Scholarship honors five graduating high-school seniors with a one-time gift of $2,000. To qualify, you must be: a college-bound high school senior with a “B” average or better, a GECU member, and passionate about volunteerism.

Next Step Career Path Scholarship

Enrolling in cosmetology school or already accepted into a welding apprenticeship program? We designed our Next Step Career Path Scholarship to help five members who are working toward the completion of an alternative post-secondary education program by awarding them a one-time $2,000 scholarship. Funds can be used toward education or work essentials, such as equipment or supplies.
