We have entered into an agreement with Alan Johnson - Johnson's Hot Rod Shop, Inc. - Gadsden, Alabama to give away a completed 1932 Ford roadster at the 2019 Street Rod Nationals. Johnson's Hot Rod Shop built the 2010 Top Participant Prize, a 1932 Ford Roadster.

We have also entered into an agreement with Ty Hauer - Reisinger Custom Rebuilding, LLC - Evansville, Indiana to give away a completed 1971 Chevrolet Nova at the 2019 Street Rod Nationals. This will be the first late model to be given away. Reisinger Custom rebuilding built the 2015 and 2017 Top Participant Prize vehicles. A 1932 Ford 5window coupe and a 1933 Ford 3 window coupe.

Johnson's Hot Rod Shop and Reisinger Custom Rebuilding are strong supporters of NSRA,having participated in a number of events, the Street Rod Nationals Builders Showcase and the Street Rod Nationals Top Participant Prize program.

The NSRA is glad to have these two elite shops on board for the Fiftieth Annual Street Rod Nationals.

2019 will be the thirty-seventh consecutive year in which the National Street Rod Association will have given away such an outstanding prize.

When we sat down to conceive of a new car show; we wanted to do one with a purpose that benefits society -medically. Considering just how many of us American’s are without sufficient insurance coupled with the recent natural disasters and Las Vegas incident; it became apparent as to our daily shortage of blood supply. We are partnering with American Red Cross and other organizations that are in the blood collecting and processing sectors to not only bring them blood donations, but to assist in the raising of financial contributions. We have pledged; 20% of gate ticket sales will be donated to the hosted organization at the conclusion of the car show day. In the Southeast USA, after the New Years Eve celebrations have ended and the cobwebs from late night activity have cleared, gearheads start looking for “car stuff” to do. A lull in the action due to the Christmas Holidays makes a gearhead hungry for some cool paint, shiny chrome and car show fun!

Gearheads didn’t have to look far, for winter car fun. The Chattanooga World of Wheels show took place the first weekend in January this year.

The show was held once again at the Chattanooga Convention Center in the heart of the city. With the railroads and steel mills influence in Chattanooga, the convention center building has a great look and feel from an industrial perspective. Of course the real cool stuff is in side the convention center itself...all those cool cars, hot rods, trucks, motorcycles and more!

FOR SALE: 1940 Packard coupe. This is the last year of the freestanding headlights.

It looks a lot like a ’40 Ford coupe except for the grill and hood. The car is original, very solid, in good shape. All of the chrome has been re-chromed, some still in paper wrap. All new tinted glass, as well as the original glass, a roll of upholstery material, but the seats and headliner are in nice shape, (door panels need some work. The dash has the instruments removed to re-wood grain, (I have vinyl wrap burled wood that I was going to use to cover the dash), but all of the instruments are in good original shape, wires are tagged and everything comes with the car. I also have paperwork and history that dates back to the late ‘60s. Going with my plan, I figured I’d have it back on the road with a few weeks work. Reality is, however, that I have no time and must get the house in shape to sell before April.
