Born and raised in the PNW, I love all aspects of the Coeur d’ Alene area I’ve grown up in. I can’t wait to gain experience in the design environment that will eventually lead to my own free-lance. Throughout my grade school years I took every art class, and then in my junior year I took a Graphic Design course. From there I saw how successful I was in it and saw a whole new branch of art. When first getting into Graphic design I didnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t have much experience with the field. I only knew it as a possible starting place to becoming a video game designer. As I spent more time in the program, I learned that it was more than that. In this program I have learned many things concerning the importance of layout, file name, font choice, communication, time management, and having a process. I can honestly say that the experiences gathered in the program will help me moving forward to become a video game designer and possibly further in my life.

Hi, my name is Lily funk. I am a graphic designer and illustrator. I want to make people happy and smile when they see my designs. This program has helped me to gain confidence and have a more discerning eye in my work. Besides design I love cosmetology because you can transform someone, or you can just enhance their natural features. What I love about cosplay is the smile people have and how excited they can be when they see their favorite characters brought to life.

Hello, Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;m Rhett Candela and joining the GDES program was a very interesting experience I had no idea what to expect. I took the last seat in my section and I didnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t have a real idea of what design was, but I have pushed myself to learn new skills and learn a new point of view in the world around me. This program made me see everything in a new light because design is everywhere. In GDES I have learned how to organize, communicate, and to work in a professional workflow to produce quality projects.

Hello, my name is Tatum Hartley. I was born and raised in Coeur dâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;Alene Idaho; therefore, I love being outdoors and exploring nature, which is where I gain much of my inspiration. I am originally from the Boise, Idaho area and moved to Couer d’Alene for college, I didn’t always know I wanted to be a graphic designer, but I have always enjoyed expressing myself. The graphic design program at NIC gave me the opportunity to further express myself by teaching me the design tools, and principles. I discovered myself through the diversity of classes in this program and developed into a graphic designer and videographer. Through the Graphic Design program at NIC I’ve come to discover a passion for video that led to an internship and blessing, working as a volunteer videographer for the Union Gospel Mission.

I was in another graphic design program when I was in high school, and I ended up creating my very first professional logo for my high school teacher.
