Over the last decades KTM has developed into an influential player in the global bicycle sector. Bike technologies have changed and made enormous pro-gress. Schaltvorgange in einer neuen Dimension: Dank des Einsatzes eines Side Swing Umwerfers bei den Scarp, Lycan, Myroon, Aera und Ultra Top-Modellen werden die Bedienkrafte deutlich reduziert. Durch die spezielle Form wird das Fahrgefühl optimiert und zugleich die Steifigkeit erhöht.

To keep cool on tricky trails and take the right decisions the bike must be highly reliable. KTM ensures this by equipping the sportive bikes with a tapered steerer. The special design optimizies the riding feeling and increases the stiffness.

Alle KTM High-End Rahmen sind für eine HinterradEinbauweite von 142mm beziehungsweise 148mm ausgelegt. Dafür verwendet KTM das supersteife KTM Thruaxle System mit stabiler Steckachse (D: 12mm, Gewinde m12×1,75). Das einfache Durchstecken und Verschrauben macht den Ein- und Ausbau des Hinterrades zum Kinderspiel, während Steifigkeitswerte und Stabilität nach oben schießen.

Die Bremsscheibenposition bleibt unverändert. Ab 2015 setzt KTM diese Technologie auch bei ausgewählten Rennrad-Modellen ein.

All KTM high-end frames are designed using an ultra stiff KTM Thruaxle System (d: 12mm, thread: 12×1.75). The thru axle is inserted and screwed through the derailleur hanger mount. Benefits include simple installation and removal of the rear wheel, along with improved stiffness. For 2015 KTM will also use this technology on selected road bikes.

Press-Fit Tretlager können voluminösere Unterrohre aufnehmen, die eine höhere Steifigkeit im Tretlagerbereich erreichen. Die Press-Fit Tretlager werden direkt in das Gehäuse eingepresst und nicht verschraubt. Durch den Verzicht auf das Gewinde und die dafür notwendigen Alu-Einsätze sinkt das Rahmengewicht ohne auf Steifigkeit verzichten zu müssen.

Press-fit bottom brackets can accommodate larger down tubes, which help to achieve greater stiffness in bottom bracket area. The bottom brackets are pressed directly into the housing and are not screwed. Since the thread and the corresponding aluminium inserts have been omitted, the weight of the frame can be reduced without a loss of stiffness.

The carbon rocker is designed by the KTM in house development team, and fitted to the Scarp 29" & Lycan 27.5" high-end frames.

The ultra light material allows for a 40% weight reduction whilst at the same time increasing the stiffness.

Developed by KTM, the Pro Damping System (PDS), features a floating rear shock mount and effectively separates braking and suspension forces, allowing the suspension to remain active. The KTM PDS has a linear suspension character which matches modern air sprung shocks perfectly. State-of-the-art technology for the KTM Lycan LT Series.

KTM UD Performance Carbon ist eine Mischung verschiedener Carbon-Fasern zur perfekten Anpassung an die unterschiedlichen Belastungszonen.

Die günstigere Ausnutzung der Kohlefasern erhöht die erreichbare Steifigkeit des Rahmens. Bei Carbon wird in Faserlängsrichtung teilweise mehr als der sechsfache Wert von Alu erreicht.

KTM UD Performance Carbon is a mixture of different carbon fibres to perfectly fit diverse demands. The effective utilization of carbon fibers increases the achievable rigidity of the frame. The stiffnessfactor of Carbon in longitudinal direction, achieves partly a sixfold higher value.

The KTM development team integrated the seatpost clamp into the frame to make selected KTM road and cyclo-cross bikes even more attractive. The result is a well-designed general picture which shows features of a sports car.

Sobald man das Scarp 2016 anvisiert, stechen einem die Racetechnik-Gene ins Auge. Seit seiner Geburtsstunde am Reißbrett verschrieben sich die Entwickler nur einem Ziel: „Wir wollen uns in allen Bereichen verbessern“. Daher spricht das Fully nur eine Sprache, diese aber deutlich: Mehr Vortrieb, mehr Steifigkeit, mehr Traktion, mehr Effizienz bei reduziertem Gewicht. Der KTM Scarp 2016 Rahmen ist eine grundlegende Neuentwicklung, die auf der Technologie des →Straight–Line–Link→ (SLL) in Kombination mit dem Rocker Blade basiert. Dadurch nimmt der Dämpfer die Kräfte direkter auf, reagiert sensibler auf kleine Unebenheiten und gibt bei großen Schlägen mehr Federweg frei. Um das →Straight–Line–Link→ Konzept schlüssig zu vollenden, wurde bewusst auf den Lagerpunkt am Ausfallende verzichtet, wodurch eine höhere Steifigkeit erzielt wird. Ergo zwingt das Scarp 2016 dem Gelände seine direkte Linienführung auf. Eine gelungene Verbesserung im Bike Handling wird mittels flacherem Lenkwinkel, steilerem Sitzrohrwinkel, längerem Oberrohr und kürzerem Vorbau erreicht. Um diesem stimmigen Konzept den letzten Feinschliff zu verleihen, wurden die doppelt gedichteten Kugellager stärker und langlebiger dimensioniert.

Looking at the Scarp 2016, your eyes get focused on the Race-techniques the fully has to offer. Since its birth on the drawing board, KTM development team had just one focus: "we want to improve in every single detail!" Therefore the Fully is a perfect match of the following characteristics: more propulsion, more rigidity, more traction, more efficiency with a reduction in weight.

The Scarp 2016 is a completely new developed frame, which is based on the →Straight–Line–Link→ (SLL) in combination with our Rocker Blade. This technology offers a very sensitive response to small bumps and a high absorption of big hits while keeping high pedaling efficiency. To conclusively accomplish the concept of the →Straight–Line–Link→ Technology, we deliberately set no bearing point at the dropout, which maximizes stiffness. The bike convinces with its directional stability in terrain. An improved bike handling was realized through a more flat headtube angle, steeper seattube angle, longer toptube combined with shorter stem. To add the final touch to this harmonious concept, the ball bearings are bigger dimensioned which results in higher strength and durability.

HIGHLIGHTS →Straight–Line–Link→ (SLL) with Rocker Blade Technology Carbon/Carbon model with Boost Technology – rear hub (148 mm), the rear wheel is about 21% stiffer. Furthermore the extra width has been invested for added lateral stiffness in the chainstay.

Ball bearings are bigger dimensioned which results in more than doubled strength and durability. Lower bearing forces through →Straight–Line–Link→ technology.

Optimally integrated front derailleur with side swing technology ensures lower operating forces and precise shifting. No matter what, for single, double or triple chainrings, mechanically or electrically activated, the Scarp frame is prepared.

Das Lycan 2016 hat sich in seiner letzten Ausbaustufe zum wahren Marathon-Kapazunder transformiert. Der neueste Geniestreich aus dem Hause KTM lautet: →Straight–Line–Link→ (SLL) und revolutioniert das Dämpfungskonzept in Kombination mit dem Rocker Blade. Der Dämpfer nimmt die Kräfte direkter auf, reagiert sensibler auf kleine Unebenheiten und gibt bei großen Schlägen mehr Federweg frei. Auch an dem Rocker Blade haben die Ingenieure lange getüftelt, um es besonders verwindungssteif zu fertigen. Um das →Straight–Line–Link→ Konzept schlüssig zu vollenden, wurde bewusst auf den Lagerpunkt am Ausfallende verzichtet, um eine höhere Steifigkeit zu erreichen. Durch dieses Dämpfungssystem erreicht das Fully im 125 mm Segment spürbar viel Vortrieb, der ursprünglich Racefullies vorbehalten war. Das kompakte und steife Rahmendreieck mit seiner sloping Geometrie sorgt für eine niedrigere Überstandshöhe. Eine gelungene Verbesserung im Bike Handling wird mittels flacherem Lenkwinkel, steilerem Sitzrohrwinkel, längerem Sitzrohr und kürzerem Vorbau erreicht. Um diesem stimmigen Konzept den letzten Feinschliff zu verleihen, wurden die doppelt gedichteten Kugellager stärker und langlebiger dimensioniert.

The Lycan 2016 has transformed into a weapon for marathons in its last stage of development. The latest stroke of genius from KTM Bike Indsutries is called →Straight–Line–Link→ (SLL) in combination with the Rocker Blade, it revolutionizes the concept of rear suspensions. This technology offers a very sensitive response to small bumps and a high absorption of big hits, while keeping high pedaling efficiency. The development team invested a lot of time, to shape the rocker blade extremely rigid to torsion. To conclusively accomplish the concept of the →Straight–Line–Link→ Technology, we deliberately set no bearing point at the dropout, which maximizes stiffness. Through this suspension-system the Fully achieves an astonishing amount of propulsion in the 125 mm class, which was originally reserved for Racefullies. The compact and rigid front triangle with its sloping geometry ensures a lower standover height. An improved bike handling was realized through a more flat headtube angle, steeper seattube angle, longer toptube combined with shorter stem. To add the final touch to this harmonious concept, the ball bearings are bigger dimensioned which results in higher strength and durability.

Das Myroon 2016 ist der neue Platzhirsch unter den Race-Hardtails und steht an der Spitze der Bike-Nahrungskette. Die Zielgruppe? Race Enthusiasten, die ihre Grenze nach oben verschieben wollen. KTM unterstreicht seine Kernkompetenz bei den Race-Hardtails durch die jahrzehntelange Erfahrung im Rennbereich. Dabei arbeiten die Ingenieure sehr eng mit den Athleten zusammen. Darauf aufbauend wurden im hauseigenen 3D-Drucker und im Testlabor unzählige Prototypen bis zur Perfektion abgestimmt. Das Resultat ist eine state of the art Rennfeile mit allen Innovationen des Bikemarktes. Folglich wurde das Steuerrohr kürzer, gleichzeitig ist das Cockpit noch tiefer und sportlicher geworden. Der steilere Sitzwinkel positioniert den Athleten noch zentraler über das Tretlager und optimiert somit seine Krafteinleitung. Die zukunftsweisende Boost Technologie erzielt durch die 148 mm breite Nabe ca. 21% mehr Steifigkeit am Hinterrad. Die Kettenstrebe ist 10 mm kürzer und das schnelle 29“ agiler. Mit dem Myroon 2016 Boost läutet KTM eine neue Ära im HardtailBereich ein.

HIGHLIGHTS Optimal integrierter eType Umwerfer sorgt für geringere Bedienkräfte und präzise Schaltvorgänge. Egal ob einfach, zweifach, mechanisch oder elektrisch, die Myroon Rahmen sind dafür gerüstet.

The Myroon 2016 Boost is the new top dog among race hardtails and is on top of the bike-food-chain. Target group? Race enthusiasts who want to move far beyond their own limits. KTM Bike Industries underlines its core competence in the race hardtail market through decades of experience in the racing field. During this process our engineers worked together very closely with our KTM-athletes. Based on this knowledge, KTM took advantage of its in-house 3D printer and test-laboratory to tune countless prototypes to perfection. The result is a state of the art Racebike packed with all innovations of the bike industry. The head tube is shorter now, at the same time the cockpit became deeper and sportier. The pioneering Boost technology with its 148mm wide hub promises a 21% stiffer rear wheel. The chainstay became 10 mm shorter, thus the fast 29 "wheels benefit from more agility. With the Myroon 2016 Boost, KTM heralds an entirely new era in the hardtail market.

HIGHLIGHTS Carbon/Carbon model with Boost Technology – rear hub (148 mm), the rear wheel is about 21% stiffer. Furthermore the extra width has been invested for added lateral stiffness in the chainstay.

DE Bereits in den 1970er Jahren produzierte KTM High-End Cyclo-Cross Fahrräder und gewann mit Walter Obersberger nationale Titel. Zurück zu den Wurzeln geht es also mit dem Canic, so der Name der neuen Linie. Der Canic CXC ist dabei auf wettkampforientierte Fahrer ausgerichtet und ausgestattet mit den aktuellsten Technologien.

EN KTM already produced high-end CC-bikes in the 1970s when they won several national titles with Walter Obersberger. Back to the roots with the Canic, that’s the name of the new line. The Canic CXC is designed for competition athletes and equipped with all relevant technologies. KTM wants to re-enter at the top of the discipline.

Mit dem KTM Revelator 2016 beschreitet KTM auch im Modelljahr 2016 wieder revolutionäre Wege. Ein geniales Novum ist die integrierte Felgenbremse, sie fügt sich nahtlos in die Kettenstrebe mittels Direct Mount Aufnahme ein. Diese technische Raffinesse verbindet zugleich mehrere Vorteile. Die großzügig dimensionierte Bremsstrebe kann die Kräfte besser aufnehmen, gleichzeitig wird die Aerodynamik verbessert. Zusätzlich können die Sattelstreben durchgehend gefertigt werden, so können Schläge am Hinterrad besser absorbiert werden. Von der Optimierungsleidenschaft getrieben, wurde die Kettenstrebe asymmetrisch gefertigt, mehr Steifigkeit und bestmögliche Platzverwendung sind das Ergebnis. Die integrierte Sattelklemme ermöglicht den direkten Austritt der Sattelstütze aus dem Rahmen. Ergo wird die Sattelstütze länger aus dem Rahmen geführt und dämpft dadurch Schläge effizienter, die Muskulatur ermüdet weniger und ein Leistungsplus wird erzielt. Ein weiterer Vorzug dieser Konstruktion ist das kompaktere steifere Rahmendreieck. Generell besticht der Revelator Rahmen 2016 durch seine klare Linienführung und aufgeräumte Optik.

Breaking into new ground! It lies in the nature of the Revelator 2016, to call for something revolutionary. A brilliant novelty is the integrated rear rim brake, that integrates seamlessly into the chainstay by Direct Mount. This technical sophistication combines several advantages. The bigger dimensioned chainstay is better suited for high braking forces, at the same time the new shape significantly improves aerodynamics. In addition the seatstays can be manufactured in one long piece for best bump absorption.

Driven by passion for optimization, chainstays have been designed asymetric for best power transmission and optimal use of space. The integrated seat clamp enables a shorter seattube length in combination with an effective longer Seatpost length.

Shocks are absorbed more efficiently, muscles fatigued less and a power surplus is achieved. Another positive aspect of this design is the compact rigid frame triangle. The new Revelator is a clear visual and technical statement!
