The Hobbit is amongst some of the greatest books of our childhood and when given the chance to redesign the cover it was both a fun and challenging task. For this project, I drew inspiration from Smaug, a very prominent character from this book. I wanted to highlight the weight this character brings. The eerieness of evil and greed. I also drew inspiration from the quote showcased on the right page. I aimed to make this redesign reflect what the main characters feel upon witnessing Smaug and the dangers that lie ahead.
“Fire leaped from the dragon’s jaws. He circled for a while high in the air above them lighting all the lake; the trees by the shores shone like copper and like blood with leaping shadows of dense black at their feet.”
-’The Hobbit’.

For this project, Ferrero Rocher was looking for a new design for their branded chocolate bar. They wanted a packaging redesign of their milk hazelnut, white hazelnut, and dark hazelnut bars. Along with a redesign of their logo. I took a creative twist on their elegant style and attention to detail. This redesign utilizes a foil texture on the logo and embossing of the chocolate bar bits showcased on the packaging.

Project Yellow Light was an opportunity to bring change and awareness to texting while driving. Distracted driving is very dangerous and people do it anyways whether its calling whing driving or checking a quick text while they wait at red. This organization was created in tribute to the creator’s son Hunter who fell victim to an unfortunate accident and this competition was made to help spread awareness while also giving the winners the chance to get a scholarship.

I together with a few partners were tasked with creating a poster for a student film that was recently created. The film was about the character’s journey and how he found himself through physical activities. We all took our roles and got to it, collaborating for a final piece. I was the graphic designer and took inspiration from the outdoor elements and physical activities being done in the film. After a few comps, we tied it all together for a finished product.
