Bus & Passenger Vans
The OSC Bus Purchasing Program provides its members with savings of up to $1,500 per unit purchased, not to mention the savings in administrative time and the cost of legal notices. OSC committee members develop the specifications, and the OSC places the legal advertisement, opens the bids and provides each district with an individualized school bus/school vehicle bid summary, ready for board action. Members that are not participating in this spring bid, but are interested in pricing, should complete the following survey (click to access). Remember to send a copy of your Board Resolution and PO (to the bus vendor) to Kelly Rocco (krocco@osconline.org).
Waste and Recycling
Save big with the OSC Waste and Recycling program! This spring, the OSC will receive competitive proposals for Pick-up, Removal, and Recycling of Solid Waste (effective July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2024). Watch for additional details on the award of the bid at the end of April/beginning of May.
Food Service
Through strategic partnerships secured by OSC, we are excited to offer food purchasing programs which provide competitive pricing and potential for rebate incentives. The Food Service Committee is in the process of evaluating the bids to recommend an award to the OSC Governing Board for approval on April 16, 2021. Renting Milk Coolers? Save Money by Purchasing with OSC!

Milk vendors charge between $0.70 cents and 1 cent per ½ pint of milk purchased when you use their coolers, depending on the vendor. You are charged this fee for all half pint purchases, even if you only use 1 of their milk coolers. Depending on how long the coolers last, OSC saved an OSC member between $19,022 and $46,699 for 15/20 years, after deducting the cost of purchasing 32 coolers.
