Much like last year, we continue to lower fees as well as offer new programming at little or no cost to our members. This year, we have added several new services including a robust and customizable online marketplace, a new, competitive food program, safety plan services and more. Highlights of this past year include: •

Launched a robust, web-based purchasing platform - eBuy - to help our members access our co-op catalogs and supplies, price compare and seamlessly integrate with their current financial packages and internal approval routes. OSC underwent a comprehensive brand refresh which included the launch of a redesigned website, annual report and new digital marketing materials. Hired a Food Service Consultant to help meet the current demands and regulations facing our members as well as launch a new (and FREE) food purchasing program that provides competitive pricing and rebate incentives. Relocated our annual Vendor Fair to Independence to make it more convenient for our members to learn more about our services and programs and test product offerings. Contracted with several new Preferred Partners to bring our districts the service and support needed to run efficient and successful schools. Hired 3 Regional Liaisons to help our current members learn about new programs and services designed to help them save, as well as discover opportunities for new partnerships across the state. Integrated a robust Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool that will help us communicate and collaborate more effectively with our members and internal staff.

As we launch into a new year, we remain committed to our mission of providing meaningful programs and unique services to our member districts, as well as

2016-17 FINANCIALS OSC GENERAL FUND:

In 2016-17, Ohio Schools Council utilized carry-over resources to help lower program fees to member districts, provide new GENERAL FUND and enhanced services, and expand our reach to new regions across the state.

OSC AGENCY FUND:

The Ohio Schools Council Agency Fund represents funds collected on behalf of members and program participants. These funds are reserved for natural gas, insurance premiums, legal hotline, eVAS/ePAS and other special program costs. Expenses exceeding revenue reflected in the 2016-17 Agency Fund consisted primarily of Natural Gas credits issued to school districts from the previous fiscal year. The excess funds were due to warmer weather and lower gas prices than originally projected.
