Bryan Erby CEO and Founder of One Nation Under God Records (ONUG). In 2003, while homeless in Atlanta, Ga, Bryan lost his love for the memories of music. It was in the darkest moments of life, that God gave him the vision and plan to birth ONUG. Throughout his life he realized something was tugging on the inside of him, although music was not a passion of his, the desire to work to help artists became his life. Out of the turmoil and trials One Nation Under God was birthed into what it is today. ONUG Records was established 10 years ago on the principle of “ministry before industry.” Vision started when I was homeless in the streets of Atlanta, Ga. God gave me a vision to build platforms for independent artist of all genres to be exposed to the world. We are built on Biblical standards, using unconventional methods to draw individuals closer to Christ. We are a company that creates avenues for all up and coming entertainers, while establishing stability, credibility, and liability in their respected industries. We support artist to obtain ethical and influential practices from each and every aspect of entertainment and music. One Nation Under God Records located in Augusta, Ga is a US/International physical, digital, music distributor and service provider for independent artists and labels throughout the world. Our core business model is similarly based on the Japanese keiretsu system, a form of organization based on networks rather than hierarchy which in effect achieves the scale economies of vertical integration with a network of affiliated companies working in conjunction, with the inclusion of capabilities in comparison to a major label providing the low overhead and flexibility of an independent.

A message from DGott, Gospel Choice Music Awards Nominee Gospel House Music is not a new sound of Gospel Music it’s been around for years. The beat is much similar to what you would hear in club music or what you would call House Music. You know that beat that has that 112 or 120 tempo (bpm) that can get your feet tapping at any given time and your body in the mood to dance. When I first heard Gospel House Music I felt like it was just ok. It was just another way to express and “sang” the gospel of Jesus Christ. Once I became a radio personality on the Donna Walton Gospel Network (DWGN) mixing Gospel House Music, I realized not only is this a great sound of music for some reason it’s not even popular. Right away I begin to pray for a change in the Gospel Music industry. We need Gospel House Music to be recognized in the music industry. I started The Gospel House Music Movement by spreading the word all over social media telling all my friends about the Movement. We are now well into what I call The Gospel House Music Movement when I get a email from MusicLov3rz magazine and radio asking me if I could do a half hour mix of my show called The Gospel Praise Mix Down on MusicLov3rz radio. I had to pray about it first. Right away, I emailed her and said yes it’s the movement let’s make it happen!! Now Gospel House Music is on two different radio stations, AMEN. I fell in love with Gospel House Music! I love it, Psalm 150:3 KJV “Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: Praise him with the psaltery and harp.” The Gospel House Music Movement went out and was getting a lot of attention when a good friend, by the name of Lofiet Brown, called me to tell me that The Gospel Choice Music Awards would like to add a category for Gospel House Music. He said let’s make this happen right away. I said ok. Mr Lofiet Brown and I called up a few Gospel House Artists and before we knew it Mr. Jeffery along with GCMA had added a category for Gospel House Artist of the year. Now, for the first time ever, Gospel House Music Artists have been nominated for a Gospel Choice Music Award with the new category, Gospel House Artist of the year 2022. We are so excited and greatly appreciate Jeffery Holmes and GCMA for believing in the Movement. Gospel House Music is here to stay and this is just the beginning!!! 2023 Grammy's get ready!!!
A message from Lofiet Brown, Gospel Choice Music Awards Nominee I grew up in Chicago in a family that loved music. Music was always around me. My mother being in the church and my father and auntie who would DJ at parties. Along with this fact and what I believe is a call on my life, music has always been in my heart. Many people think that Gospel House is a brand-new genre however, Gospel House has been around for years. It has been what I would call underground as radio stations would not give this brand of music any light at all. To me, Gospel House is a unique brand of music. Christians are compelled to dance to it, now I know what many would say but let me elaborate. Christians love to dance also. As you may recall, David danced out of his clothing. Gospel House music is just that gospel, the rhythm would appear to be secular, but the words worship and acknowledge God! No, we have not conformed to the ways of the world however we have thrown out a different net. Through the Gospel House sound, Christians can praise, lift their hands in the air unto God, and dance like David. As Gospel House continues to grow we as artists hope that many people through radio stations, You Tube, other avenues of media, and church will embrace this wonderful sound that God has given to us. We would like it to be known that the creativity has been given to us by the almighty God. It is believed for us that Gospel House is the beginning of a monumental movement as a genre of music. We would like to thank the community and the Gospel Choice Music Awards for the acknowledgement and for such a prestigious inaugural award within the category of Gospel House music. We want to thank you for spreading Gospel House music throughout the world from Chicago to New York, from the UK to Africa. Congratulations to all the nominees. Bernetta Donaldson: I love Gospel House music because it is a cross between gospel and house music. It gives you a vibe of relaxation, it makes you think, meditate, pray, and groove all at the same time. What is Gospel House?... I am Gospel House. D. Gott: I love house music and once I turned my life around to Christ, I believe God spoke to me and said, let us bring back Gospel House music because the message is in the music period, to God be all the glory. Marcel Harrison: Gospel House music is a great tool to reach the “club kids” who appreciate this genre of music. Being a former club kid myself, I have seen how it moves people and makes them move. I say, “Yes get your groove on and DANCE!!!
And the Awards Goes To - The Journey with Jeffery E. Holmes Hey guys! We’re so excited to share our interview with the one and only Jeffery Holmes, CEO of the Gospel Choice Music Awards. He agreed to have a “Conversation with BlueMile”. What an honor! Check out the conversation. BM: So tell us, Who is Jeffery E. Holmes? JH: Well, I’m from Hartford, Connecticut, born and raised….on the playground…(laughs) ….I don’t know where that came from. I just thought it might fit (laughs)….but I’ve been in Atlanta for about 11years. God said this is where I should be and it’s been one of the best moves that I could make. Just a simple guy; a little bit of an introvert, except when I’m standing in front of a choir. I love the Lord. I love God’s people! I try to live my life, the best person I can be. Being the first to graduate high school, and go on to obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. My mother commanded a lot. I know that I would not be who I am today, if she didn’t push the way she did. BM: That’s one thing we noticed about you, Jeff, is that you always honor your mom in all that you do. We love that about you! So, now tell us how do you balance being a CEO, a magazine publisher, a traveling choir director, and so many other hats you wear, and live everyday life and still be effective? JH: Well my mentor in leadership taught me about time management. I keep a schedule of a list of things that need to be done and I cross off as I complete them. On weekends, I try to find down time in between the singing and directing, so I don’t get burnt out. Sometimes I may catch a movie, or sit and listen to some great instrumental music, or take a drive. BM: This is the 28th year of the Gospel Choice Music Awards. Tell us the story behind how you became a part of this great platform. JH: A while back, I started a company called ChurchBlast to help smaller ministries advertise their services and activities because radio and tv may not have been affordable. There was a gentleman by the name of Mr. Creed Purnell, who was the CEO of the Gospel Choice Awards here in Atlanta. One day he tapped me on the shoulder and said I have been watching you and I like that you are a man of your word. I didn’t know him at the time, but he had heard of me. He invited me to the Gospel Choice Awards Show. To make a long story short, I started working with Mr. Purnell for about two years. One day, he said the team and I like your ideas, and think is time for the show to turn the corner. I want you to be the driver. In my excitement, I didn’t realized he was turning the whole platform over to me. What??? I had no idea what to do. So, I did what I always do when I don't know what to do, I Prayed! God began to give me the ideas. There were wonderful people like you, Daphney and Calandra, and many others who stepped into my little circle to help turn this platform into something greater than my initial dream. Thank you both for being a part of the team and sharing your ideas to make sure the indie artists remain the main focus of the Gospel Choice Music Awards. BM: Wow! A Stellar platform for Indie Artists! Now tell us, What are some of the challenges you have come across on this journey? JH: In this venture, advertising can be a challenge at times because you want to get the word out to as many people as possible to be able to benefit from what you are offering. The other piece that is challenging is finding individuals or organizations that believe in the mission. Also, finding people who are willing to partner with us, and provide opportunities to the artists that come to the platform. I want people to feel good about their ministry, because it is not about the competition as much as it is about being appreciated; feeling recognized for the hard work they have put into it. BM: Wow! This was awesome! Thank you Jeff for coming and chatting with us. We love you! Catch the full interview on all of our streaming platforms.
Blue Nugget: It’s not about the competition, it’s about the appreciation. To book consulting services with BlueMile Music Consultants, check out our website, www.bluemilemusic.com. My Life My Music Daniel Agyin, known in the industry as “Goldmann” creates music that tells passionate stories that take your mind through a journey of profound self-analysis, matched with melodious afro-pop beats that keep the listener earnestly yearning for more. The Ghana, Africa based singer-songwriter has been making waves with his delicate blend of heartfelt melodies, meaningful lyrics, and harmonies that keep you hooked. Growing up in Accra, Ghana, Daniel would find himself experimenting with and being immersed in a range of styles of music. Through a combination of the influence passed down from the older generation of Highlife, Hiplife, and now Afrobeat. He has carved out a niche for himself and the Gold Family Band (his official band) in the burgeoning gospel music scene. For Daniel, music is pristine when it is designed to inspire and this is the reason for choosing his genre. Despite all the challenges, he is no stranger to music. Being a creative at heart, he has been writing his own lyrics and compositions since his childhood.
Songs 2004 saw the release of Daniels’s debut EP ‘Captain Jesus ’, produced in Accra with Jeff Queye aka JQ. I am the youngest among five siblings, four boys and one girl. Why Music? I come from a family that loves music. My late mom was a singer at church, and indirectly, myself and the late Alex Kojo Tetteh-Fio, may his soul rest in peace, inherited this gift from her and we have taken music to the professional level. My cousin was a great bassist who played with legendary musicians like Felix Ball ,Tagoe sisters, others. I got Saved through Music. I remember the wife of one of my cousins invited me to church, I declined, but later on because of his persistency, we went. During the altar call, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and personal Savior. I joined the church choir. Every Sunday, during testimony time, I would write my name down to sing. Thereafter, my choir master would ask me
to coordinate choir rehearsals when he was not around. Little did I know this would be the starting point of my greatness in music. The rest is history. I am the official representative for Texas Gospel Music Excellence Awards for Africa, aside other organizations I represent. As a Christian, creative art personnel, and a business man, I want to use this opportunity to connect Christian business communities especially those in the United States with Africa for the kingdom growth.
My Status I am now officially part of the Alternative Management and Marketing Group family, as the first African artist to be signed. They manage Detroit Youth choir, Young Men For Christ, Daryl Beebe, Eric Reverence, Souds Of Imani, Min. David A. Whitfield II & Whitfield Productions Gospel Community Choir and myself. Inquiries for me and my ministry should be directed to the management company. I am the Deputy Director for Gospel Music for the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), the largest union of musicians in Ghana. Currently I am vying for the position of greater Accra Chairman for MUSIGA, greater Accra Chapter. Music is my passion and I want to save my fellow musicians both locally and internationally and I’ve been doing that, I am on several award boards including but not limited National Gospel Music Awards, the Canonizes, the Antique Barbuda Gospel Music, and Media Awards (ABGMA) My new single entitled Nyame Adom (Grace of God) is currently available on all digital music platforms . WHY IT MATTERS Motivation is something that a lot of people try to hold onto. They rely on to stay consistent and get them to their goals. The problem with this is motivation fades. It always will. Dedication and discipline are more important success. Often times I find myself not wanting to remain on the course I am. The life I choose is inherently a hard one, and there come times when I question why I do this. Then I think back to day one “ If not me then who?” Motivation is something that a lot of people try to hold onto. They rely on to stay consistent and get them to their goals. The problem with this is motivation fades. It always will. Dedication and discipline are more important success. Often times I find myself not wanting to remain on the course I am. The life I choose is inherently a hard one, and there come times when I question why I do this. Then I think back to day one “ If not me then who?” Remembering why you start the journey is they key. If you remember why you started you’ll always find a way to finish. For me it was understanding that someone needs to make the bad guys out their in the world afraid of the dark. That’s my purpose. Without courage your never start. But without dedication, you’ll never finish. Submitted by R. Burnett
PUSH THROUGH & TRY ONE MORE TIME Life is not always as it seems. We all make mistakes. Sometimes, we turn left when we should have gone right or maybe turned back when you should have went forward. Think of a hero or maybe a person that has inspired you, if you take a close look or asked them honestly, they’ll tell you, life is full of challenges and struggles. Those that succeed at life and business have learned how to keep going even when things aren’t going well. They don’t allow the setbacks and obstacles to cause them to give up and throw in the towel. Instead, they learn that failures and obstacles are ingredients that lead to success. How did you get here? Was it a devastating life event that caused you to take a side step on your journey? Maybe a lack of support from those you thought would always be there. How about you never had anyone to encourage you to keep going. Or was it accidently following the wrong crowd and by the time you noticed, you were in trouble or too far behind? It could’ve been that you just didn’t care or maybe you didn’t see a way to your success in life. There could be a thousand reasons on why you’re here. At this point, what really matters is that you got HERE! PUSH THROUGH & TRY ONE MORE TIME Life is how you look at it. Thomas Edison once said “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” Michael Jordan said “I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games and 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” Where you go from here is up to you, the sky is the limit. Possibilities are limitless. Today, your clock has been reset. If it’s a job, whatever job, work your hardest and best so that they notice whenever you’re not there. If it’s a new business, pour your all into it so you don’t have regrets wondering if you did enough. If its education, study hard, work hard and earn every degree that you desire. You can, and I know you can because you made it HERE! Have faith in what you and God can accomplish together. PUSH THROUGH & TRY ONE MORE TIME When the creator fashioned and designed us, He knew there’d be some obstacles along the way, I like to think that He was more proud of our successes. You’re built to succeed and He made sure you were equipped with everything that you need. So, from this day forward, I charge you to succeed, to never give up trying, to always try your best, and when you find a way that doesn’t work…… You Got This! PUSH THROUGH & TRY ONE MORE TIME
