EEXI - Let us help you measure how energy efficient are your ships Be Ready – By 2023, the requirements will enter into force at MEPC 76, the IMO approved amendments to MARPOL, introducing an Energy Efficiency Design Index for existing ships (EEXI). Once the requirement enter in force, ship owners will need to prove that their ships are in compliance with the EEXI requirement, if not energy saving means need to be adopted. EEXI is applicable for ships with > 400 GT. Once EEXI regulation is implemented IEE (international Energy Efficiency) Certificate shall become mandatory.
