There’s no two ways about it, outdoor gas fire pits face a double-barrel assault from wind and rain. HPC designs its products making sure our fire pits function effectively and safely in the field. For example: HPC offers a searchable online ordering site through the HPC Dealer Portal Store.hpcfire.com.

All dealers are encouraged to provide input on new product development.

• The Penta Burner sheds rain water in several ways. Each of the five lobes have “weep holes” that drain water. Also, the hub in the center of the burner is sealed to prevent water leaking into the burner.

• HPC’s Electronic Ignition models all include a “drip leg” that diverts any water away from the electronics.

Button/Flame Sensing models all are equipped with a thermocouple sensor that will shut off the gas supply if the flame is extinguished. In addition, HPC’s metal “blow-outbox” acts as an added layer of protection shielding the pilot flame from the elements. • HPC installs “spider guards” on all CSA-Certified fire pit inserts. The mesh guard deters spiders from nesting in the unit keeping your appliance free from any obstruction.
