Global real estate opportunities are everywhere; that includes people moving to the U.S. from other countries, and native-born Americans looking to purchase rental properties or retire overseas. No matter which markets you are serving, NAR’s Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation will provide you with the knowledge, research, network and tools you need to globalize and expand your business. The District of Columbia Association of REALTORS®’ 2021 Speaker Series is in full swing! So far this year, they hosted Dean Hunter, CEO of the Small Multifamily Owners Association, who discussed rent control and housing affordability in the district; Andrew Trueblood, director of the D.C. Office of Planning, who covered the District of Columbia Comprehensive Plan; and Clarence Whitescarver, chief building official for D.C.’s Department of Consumer & Regulatory Affairs (DCRA), who provided insights into the all-important inspection process.
