Visscher Seafood is a modern supplier of fresh North Atlantic seafood and specializes in the production of salmon. With our new factory we meet the highest requirements in the field of food safety and are we able to serve customers all over the world with first-class quality fish. Our aim is to do things a little bit better each and every day. This has led to many small and some big improvements and has made us the company we are now. We hope to keep up with these continuous improvements in future so that we’ll be constantly leading the way in this dynamic sector.

Healthy & Sustainable Whether it is cod from the North Sea or salmon from the Norwegian fjords, we always choose fresh and healthy products caught or farmed in the most sustainable manner possible.
Clean & Lean We strive to optimize speed and return and to prevent unnecessary delays in the entire chain. This way we can ensure a better and cleaner product.
Passion & Respect We work with a passion for our products and our profession. We treat nature, our people and of course our customers and partners with respect.
SALMON We have recently opened our new location in order to gain a position at the top of the salmon market. A factory with lots of space and the most modern machines which has received the highest IFS and BRC quality marks scores. We have continued the trend to better and more sustainable products in our new company. We are Organic, MSC, ASC and Global Gap certified. When it comes to the production of our fish we only invest in quality. Our salmon filleting line, for example, is the world’s top filleting line - from beginning to end.
Visscher Seafood’s excellent salmon is mainly farmed in freezing cold Norwegian fjords, but also in Scotland, Ireland and on the Faeroe Islands and Iceland. Next to conventional salmon we also process specialities such as ASC, Global Gap, Organic (Bio) and Label Rouge salmon. Next to farmed salmon we also offer wild Sockeye salmon from Alaska which carries the MSC quality mark for sustainable fishery.
Salmon is Visscher Seafood’s main product, countless variations are possible here. We do not only offer whole salmon and salmon fillet, for example, but portions, steaks and loins as well. We like to be able to respond to the particular wishes of our customers.
WHITEFISH
Cod is a very special product to Visscher Seafood. This magnificent fish is also available in all types and measurements. Whole, headed, fillet, portioned, or as loin – it is up to the customer. The cod is caught using sustainable fishery -not only along our own coast but also in Iceland, Faeroe, Scotland, Denmark and Norway. Cod is available throughout the whole year but is at its best in winter and spring. This is when the superior ‘’Skrei’’ or winter cod is caught. Our cod is MSC certified where possible. The whitefish category is much broader though. Next to cod we offer a number of other delicious whitefish such as halibut, pollack, haddock and wolf-fish. The origins of these types of fish are very season-dependent but it is certain that we always choose the best quality of that moment!
NORTH SEA FISH Next to the aforementioned salmon and whitefish we also offer a wide range in fresh North Sea fish. These beautiful products were at the origins of Visscher Seafood and are still a regular feature of the assortment. These products are bought online on dozens of European fish auctions, but mainly at the local fish auction of Urk – the largest of its kind. Visscher Seafood is your supplier for fish from sole and turbot to plaice and dab. Of course we can also process all of these products to obtain the customer’s desired end product.
