VOL. 25
A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Good afternoon and I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to reach out to share some exciting news– we are rebranding our parent company! Going forward, effective tomorrow, “Golden Bear Therapy Partners” will be known as “Therapy Partners Group”, or “TPG”. As an organization, we currently operate 130+ clinics, under 22 different brand names, across 6 states. Renaming our parent company to Therapy Partners Group will more accurately reflect who we are as a company: Great local and regional brands that are all connected as one family. One team – One goal: having a best-in-class patient and employee experience across all our clinics. In the coming days, you will see updates to a number of items to reflect our new branding, and I appreciate everyone’s support and patience during this transition. We will be launching a new website, TherapyPartnersGroup.com, tomorrow, Friday, April 29th, and will send out a national press release to communicate this branding change next Tuesday, May 3rd. I want to be very clear that all local brand names will remain as is. This is a change with the branding of the parent company and will have little to no impact at the clinic level. I am excited about this change and hope all of you are too!

PHYSICAL THERAPIST HEALTH TIP
Shoulder circles: Bring your shoulders up to your ears, back and then down away from your ears. Repeat this motion 10 times. This will help those sitting with rounded shoulders who love to “carry their stress” on their shoulders.
Cervical rotation: Begin by looking with your eyes to the right and then turn your head all the way to the right. Then look with your eyes to the left and turn your head all the way to the left. Repeat this motion 10 times.
Standing extension: Stand up and reach both arms overhead while inhaling and leaning back. This will help counter the flexed position your hips, back, and arms are in while sitting and working at a desk. Repeat this motion 10 times and inhale while leaning back, and then exhale when you bring your arms back down.

Lisa Story, PTA at Sport and Spine Therapy proudly ran in this year's Boston Marathon! Here is some of her story: "2022 was my first year to finally run Boston, after well over a dozen focused attempts to qualify in other marathons for the past 10 years. As for the course, it lives up to the hype of hills and unpredictable weather. Over 9000 volunteers, 40 million donated to charity, and seems the whole city of Boston came out on Patriots' Day to celebrate Marathon Monday!"
Golden Bear Physical Therapy Lodi was voted Reader's Choice best Physical Therapy clinic of 2022! Lodi teams, you are making a difference in the community and it is not going unnoticed! We are so proud of your accomplishment and thank you for your dedication and excellent patient care.

From working with children with disabilities to helping injured workers recover and return to work—to specializing in disorders and injuries of the upper extremity as a Certified Hand Therapist, to working in Neuro Rehabilitation with patients that have suffered a traumatic brain injury. OTs and COTAs are here to bring high-level, compassionate care. We want to thank all of our incredible OTs for their contributions and for being an integral part of our team. Cheers to National Occupational Therapy Month!
What a crazy year this has been, full of ups and downs! Many challenges have come up, but what makes me most proud is the way every one of you rises to accept and overcome obstacles, no matter how large. The family feel and overall culture of Bodycentral are what originally drew me to the team. When I look at the team, I see a group of people who genuinely care about the work they are doing! The passion they display goes into every aspect of the services we provide, and they never give up! It makes me think of a quote my son's hockey coach sent out to the parents recently: "FAILURE is good. STRUGGLE is good. DISCOMFORT is good. Each leads to growth & development. Show me someone who's never failed and I'll show you someone who's nowhere near their developmental ceiling. If you want to be the best you can be, get comfortable being uncomfortable!" Many of us have weathered various storms lately, whether it be Covid-19, staffing shortages, EMR conversions, etc. All I have to say is we are that much stronger for it. Our resilience is what makes us such a strong team, and I am very proud to be part of this journey with you all.
