ENDLESS GONE

Endless Gone explores the essence of memory, with details undefined and free from time or place. This series began during a personal crisis, when I faced the threat of losing my sight. Stripping away specifics, I was left with only light, color, and movement— elements that invite the viewer to linger in mood and feeling. In this sacred, undefined space, each person can bring their own story, collaborating with the work to create a truly intimate interpretation.
SPIRIT, HOW LONG
DREAMING THIS LIFE
ALL THAT IS LEFT ARE ECHOES OF A TIME AND PLACE UNBOUND BY DETAILS.
ENDLESS GONE SEARCHES FOR INTIMACY THROUGH AMBIGUITY. A CANVAS WHERE MEMORY WHISPERS. FILL IN WHAT’S MISSING AND CO-CREATE
IN A SHARED MEMORY.

Laura Jane Petelko is an established Canadian photographer whose career spans over 25 years and has captivated audiences and collectors worldwide. She began her career as a master printer, collaborating with noted artists like Harmony Korine, Kelly Wood, Roy Arden, and Ed Rusche, and was represented by Vancouver’s Third Avenue Gallery.
After relocating to Toronto, Petelko developed a distinctive body of work known for its emotive intimacy and unique in-camera abstraction. When faced with a prognosis of possible blindness, she embraced a technique that distills her images to their essential emotional core, redefining conventional expectations of clarity and detail in photography. Her work has been featured internationally in PARK Magazine, The Art Newspaper, Paper Magazine, amongst others, and presented at prestigious venues like Christie’s (ahead of Eye of the Collector) and Photo London. Exhibited extensively across Canada, the U.S., and the UK, Petelko’s art has garnered interest from collectors and gallerists alike.
