We are committed to sourcing only the best raw materials for our equine feeds. Our dedicated ‘Supplier Assurance Programme’ and ‘Agronomy Programme’ ensure that we use only the nest ingredients. Our cereal specialists monitor the crops from when they are rst sown right through to harvest. We closely evaluate each ingredient and only those that meet our strict criteria are used in our formulations. Our oats and cereals are thoroughly screened and cleaned on entry to our processing facility. Then they are moistened, toasted, rolled and pressure cooked at speci c temperatures, all to achieve the correct moisture and digestibility level. Our expert team of nutritionists formulate our feeds to suit the digestive system of the horse and to ensure maximum absorption. Our feeds are formulated to ensure that horses with different requirements and life stages are catered for. Our unique formulations contain Alltech’s nutritionally advanced vitamins and minerals; Bioplex® and Sel-Plex®. These vitamins and minerals work in harmony with the horse to optimise digestion and nutrient uptake. We operate a robust feed safety model based on scienti c HACCP based risk assessment. GAIN Equine Nutrition products are manufactured in our licensed premises using quality assured ingredients under strictly controlled production conditions and conforms to the requirements of EU and Irish legislation governing the manufacture of animal feeding stuffs. This system is benchmarked against industry leading practices and certi ed independently to UFAS (Universal Feed Assurance Scheme) and BETA NOPS Certi cations. The raw materials are weighed out according to the formulation, then mixed together and dry-milled. Liquid ingredients are then mixed-in prior to hightemperature steam-conditioning in preparation for extrusion through the pelleting press.This precisely controlled process, involving heat and pressure, enhances the feed’s nutritional value and palatability, and destroys natural toxins, moulds and bacterial pathogens. The pellets are then cooled, and nally screened prior to packing to produce a dust-free product. We have the capability to pack and seal our products using our Nutra Lock guarantee to ensure the highest quality feed and goodness is delivered to you and your horse as fresh as the day it was packed.
Our Nutra Lock bags are made from a strong foil material and when used in conjunction with our modi ed atmospheric packaging process protects the safety and quality of the feed throughout its shelf life. Packed in this way our feed has a shelf life of up to twelve months Our expert team of nutritionists and business managers are dedicated to developing new equine nutritional solutions. We work closely with universities and industry bodies to bring the latest in research, technology and world leading testing methodologies into our feeds. Ultimately the customer’s needs are at the centre of everything we do.

The Alltech equine solutions include Bioplex® copper, zinc and manganese, and Sel-Plex® organic selenium. These products work in harmony with the horse to optimise digestive health and nutrient uptake as well as providing key minerals in their most bio-available form for better absorption and utilisation by the horse.
Designed to closely match the natural trace elements in forages and grains, Bioplex® minerals nutritionally ‘fi t’ animal metabolism to become more absorbable during digestion and more readily available to meet physiological demands in organs and tissues.

Alltech European Bioscience Centre Partnerships play an important role in the success of GAIN Equine Nutrition. Along with our on-going relationships with customers and suppliers, we are committed to supporting the equine industry through a number of key partnerships.
We have a long standing relationship with the IHWT and we are delighted to continue our support towards such a worthy charity. The IHWT do incredible work in the rehabilitation and rehoming of both horses and ponies and we are very happy that we can offer them nutritional support to help them enrich the lives of these horses and ponies. The Irish Horse Welfare Trust was established in 1999 to help the plight of horses in Ireland. They rescue, rehabilitate and rehome horses that have been abandoned, neglected or ill-treated.
GAIN Equine Nutrition have extended their partnership with The Curragh racecourse to create a three race series known as the ‘Champion Collection’ series. The three part series acts as a stepping-stone for two-year-old horses graduating from listed (First Flier) through to Group 3 (Marble Hill Stakes) up to Group 2, which is our prestigious Railway Stakes race that takes place on Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Day. Many of our customers are deeply involved in both the racing and bloodstock industries and we see this collaboration as a unique opportunity to underpin our commitment to these sectors.
GAIN Equine Nutrition are delighted to support the eventing sector through our partnership with Camphire International, which is a highly competitive 3 star event that attracts top class international event riders to the beautiful setting along the Blackwater River in West Waterford.
Point to Points are the heartbeat of the Irish National Hunt racing industry. We are delighted to be involved at the grass roots level of this important sector. For the last three decades we have sponsored the GAIN Mares Series. This Series covers 20 legs across six counties with the much coveted fi nal taking place in Ballynoe in the spring.
Along with our partner Alltech, we continue to support show jumping sector through our support of the National Grand Prix Series. This series runs across Ireland throughout the summer months and is the cornerstone of the national calendar. With a lucrative prize fund of over €80,000, it attracts top quality horses competing at 1.40m level.
