Sailing for 2 guests on the Royal Racing Yacht Bloodhound - TBC August 2017 Imagine sailing around Scotland’s beautiful Western Isles on a classic 1930s yacht, which was once owned by Her Majesty The Queen and Prince Philip from 1962 to 1969.

During August, the fully restored, 63 foot Royal Racing Yacht Bloodhound sailing from Oban Marina - routes include: The Sound of Mull, passing Duart and Torosay Castles; Ballachulish, passing the Isle of Lismore into Loch Linnhe and past Port Appin; Jura, through the Sound of Kerrera, past Easdale, the Isle of Seil, Isle of Luing and the Isle of Scarba. And guests can choose to sit back and relax while on board, or help the Ocean Master qualified Skipper and crew ‘man the ropes’. Thank you for taking the time to read and bid for an auction prize. The funds raised for the ABF the Soldiers Charity are invaluable and for that I thank you.

Some of our achievements in 2014-15 As the Army’s National Charity

We gave support to some 5000 individual soldiers, veterans of all ages, and their families in need.

We funded 72 charities which deliver help on our collective behalf, ranging from substantial six-figure sums to the likes of SSAFA or Combat Stress, to much smaller grants to niche or local charities.

Our eldest beneficiary was a 109-year-old, World War Two widow, and the youngest a one-year-old disabled child of a serving soldier.

As ever, we pride ourselves on our speed of response – often within 24 hours; and our reach extends worldwide.

We completed our Specialist Employment Consultant programme, delivering career advice to Wounded, Injured and Sick soldiers forced to leave the Army in very difficult circumstances – a £1.8m programme spread over 3 years. The programme was so successful that the MOD have now adopted it.
