MADE IN USA ABRASIVE FLAP DISC PROGRAM OVERVIEW Bonding + Backing System POLY COTTON C-Prime Plus, Z-Prime, Z-Solid, A-Prime – all were developed for flap disc applications to with stand the high pressure created while a right-angle grinder is operating. The poly-cotton cloth is designed to provide increased grain retention and still provide flexibility vs. polyester backings.

POLYESTER C-Prime, Alu-Prime, offer water resistant polyester backing which provides great strength but less flexibility.

Backing Plate FIBERGLASS / PHENOLIC TRIMMABLE a. Backing Plate offers excellent flexibility during course of operation. b. Nylon 6 backing can be trimmed back during course of operation c. These features allow for up to a 65% increase in the operating life of each disc.

Trimmable Discs

T27 Flat – for working on flat or overhead grinding surfaces

T29 Conical – for working on contoured and edge work the shape allows for excellent surface conduct and aggressive use.

COMPRESSED COMPRESSED

The compressed shape was developed with input from large users around the world and leads to increased product life and a substantial reduction in inventory costs for the entire market channel. T27 backing turns to T29 product.

Weldcote Dual Label Large movers may have a baked-on label with two UPC item numbers. The left side will highlight a 7/8" arbor and the right side will highlight a 5/8 – 11 Arbor hole.

Why Flap discs vs. Grinding Wheels or Resin Fiber Discs • Flap discs offer up to 5X stock removal, less gouging of the work piece easier to control for better work piece quality less changeover = less downtime, less glazing, loading and workpiece discoloration. • Vast improvement in metal removal over a period of time.

Z-SOLID Poly-cotton Zirconia with closed coat and high Zirconia/AO coating density for excellent metal removal rates. Long lasting chemically treated Zirconia grains allows for excellent results on metal, stainless steel, edge weld removal and deburring. High value/price performance in the marketplace.

ALUMINUM OXIDE

Poly-cotton Aluminum Oxide with closed coating and high Aluminum Oxide density provides excellent metal removal capabilities and excellent flexibility. AO Grain will not burn the material. Excellent on soft metals and hard woods.

ALU-PRIME

ALUMINUM

Polyester blue fired Aluminum Oxide grain with a second tier of calcium stearate laid on top of the Aluminum Oxide polyester heat-treated backing. The second tier calcium stearate reduces material build up between grains. During the grinding operation this liquefies to keep the material cooler and prevents loading with Aluminum and other such metals.
