SETTEMBRE, IL MESE DEI VIAGGI CHE RESTANO Settembre è un mese speciale per chi ama viaggiare. Le folle estive si diradano, l’aria si fa più limpida e le destinazioni si rivelano con un ritmo più autentico. È il momento ideale per assaporare il mare senza la calca di agosto, esplorare città d’arte in silenzio, o perdersi in borghi e campagne che profumano di vendemmia.

In questo numero vi portiamo lungo itinerari che sanno di fine estate e inizio d’autunno: dalle coste italiane ancora baciate dal sole alle strade vivaci di Istanbul, dai paesaggi selvaggi della Tanzania fino alle colline morbide dei Castelli Romani.

Ma viaggiare a settembre non è solo questione di luoghi: è anche un’occasione per ascoltarsi. Per questo abbiamo voluto dedicare spazio al tema del benessere, raccontandovi esperienze di SPA di campagna dove la natura diventa parte della cura di sé, e proporvi spunti di mindfulness per trasformare il rientro in città in un momento di consapevolezza e non di stress.

Ogni viaggio, in fondo, è un equilibrio: tra scoperta e lentezza, tra entusiasmo e ascolto, tra il fuori e il dentro. Settembre ce lo ricorda con la sua luce più morbida e le giornate che invitano a rallentare.

Questo numero è il nostro invito a partire — o a fermarsi — con la stessa curiosità, lo stesso respiro. Perché i viaggi che restano sono quelli che ci cambiano, anche solo un po’.

Istanbul è una città che non si visita soltanto: si attraversa, come un ponte tra epoche e culture, in cui ogni strada sembra portare in un continente diverso. Partendo dall’Italia, il viaggio inizia già in volo, con la prospettiva di atterrare in una metropoli adagiata su due continenti, dove l’Europa e l’Asia si guardano da sponde opposte del Bosforo. Una volta a terra, è impossibile non lasciarsi sorprendere dalla vastità di questa città che, pur non essendo la capitale della Turchia, è stata cuore pulsante dell’Impero Bizantino e di quello Ottomano, e continua ancora oggi a rappresentare un crocevia di popoli, commerci e stili di vita.

Settembre e ottobre sono mesi ideali per visitarla: il clima è mite, le giornate ancora luminose, ma le folle estive si sono diradate. I collegamenti dall’Italia sono numerosi, con voli diretti per entrambi gli aeroporti internazionali: Istanbul Airport, sul lato europeo, e Sabiha Gökçen, sul lato asiatico.

Prima di partire conviene ricordare che il cambio valuta è più conveniente in città, presso gli sportelli ATM di banche locali come Halkbank, piuttosto che all’aeroporto. Una Istanbulkart acquistata all’arrivo permette di muoversi facilmente su tram, metropolitana, autobus, traghetti e persino funivie urbane.

Departing from Italy, the journey begins even before landing, with the prospect of arriving in a metropolis spread over two continents, where Europe and Asia face each other across the Bosphorus. Once on the ground, it’s impossible not to be struck by the vastness of this city, which, although not the capital of Turkey, was the beating heart of both the Byzantine and Ottoman empires, and today remains a crossroads of peoples, trade, and ways of life.

September and October are ideal months to visit: the weather is mild, the days are still bright, and the summer crowds have thinned. Direct flights from Italy are frequent, serving both international airports: Istanbul Airport, on the European side, and Sabiha Gökçen, on the Asian side. Before setting off, it’s worth noting that currency exchange is more favourable in the city at local bank ATMs, such as Halkbank, rather than at the airport. Purchasing an Istanbulkart upon arrival makes it easy to get around on trams, metro, buses, ferries, and even urban cable cars.

First impressions of Istanbul often come from the Sultanahmet district, the historic heart of the city. Here, the majestic Hagia Sophia, with its domes and mosaics, stands alongside the Blue Mosque, creating one of the most iconic urban panoramas in the world. Not far away, the Topkapi Palace tells

Poco distante, il Palazzo Topkapi racconta secoli di fasti imperiali: giardini curati, padiglioni sontuosi e il tesoro imperiale. Passeggiando verso il mare, si raggiunge il litorale del Mar di Marmara, dove i gabbiani accompagnano il rumore delle onde. Uno dei luoghi più affascinanti per scoprire l’anima commerciale della città è il Gran Bazar, un labirinto di oltre 4.000 botteghe che vendono tappeti, spezie, gioielli e ceramiche. È un’esperienza da vivere con calma, lasciandosi guidare dai profumi e dai colori, anche se i prezzi non sono sempre i più convenienti.

Per souvenir autentici e meno cari, vale la pena attraversare il Bosforo e raggiungere Kadıköy, quartiere giovane e vivace sul lato asiatico, dove caffè indipendenti e mercati locali rivelano un volto più quotidiano della città. Un altro quartiere che merita una sosta è Galata, dominato dalla sua torre medievale, dalla cui cima si gode una vista panoramica su tutto il centro storico. Da qui si scende verso il Corno d’Oro, passando per le vie acciottolate di Beyoğlu, animate da negozi d’arte, librerie e ristoranti. La sera, la zona si

One of the most fascinating places to discover the city’s commercial soul is the Grand Bazaar, a labyrinth of over 4,000 shops selling carpets, spices, jewellery, and ceramics. It’s an experience to enjoy slowly, guided by scents and colours, though prices are not always the most affordable.

For more authentic and reasonably priced souvenirs, it’s worth crossing the Bosphorus to reach Kadıköy, a young and vibrant district on the Asian side, where independent cafés and local markets reveal a more everyday side of the city.

Another district worth a stop is Galata, dominated by its medieval tower, offering panoramic views over the entire historic centre. From here, you can walk down to the Golden Horn, passing along the cobbled streets of Beyoğlu, alive with art shops, bookstores, and restaurants. In the evening, the area glows with soft lights and becomes the perfect spot to enjoy meze and fresh fish.

The Bosphorus is not just a geographical border; it is the liquid soul of Istanbul. Boarding a local ferry is one of the most authentic ways to experience the city. In just a few minutes, you can pass from Europe to Asia, with the wind in your face and the silhouettes of mosques and palaces against the sunset. Those with more time can take a mini-cruise to the Black Sea, skirting villages and ancient Ottoman fortresses. Among its curiosities, Istanbul is known as “the city of seven hills,” just like Rome, with monumental mosques crowning each one. It is also home to the Tünel, 18 |

illumina di luci soffuse e diventa il luogo perfetto per assaggiare meze e pesce fresco. Il Bosforo non è soltanto un confine geografico: è l’anima liquida di Istanbul. Salire su un traghetto locale è uno dei modi più autentici per vivere la città. In pochi minuti si passa dall’Europa all’Asia, con il vento in faccia e le sagome di moschee e palazzi che si stagliano sul tramonto. Maiden’s Tower, Istanbul

Tra le curiosità, Istanbul è conosciuta come “la città delle sette colline”, proprio come Roma, e su ognuna di esse si trovano moschee monumentali. È anche sede del Tünel, la seconda metropolitana sotterranea più antica del mondo, lunga appena 573 metri, e dell’iconica funivia Eyüp-Piyerloti, che porta a un caffè panoramico amato dai poeti. Non mancano i richiami alla sua storia di porto internazionale: per decenni, è stata la meta finale del leggendario Orient Express, simbolo di viaggi lenti e raffinati.

Il ritmo di Istanbul è scandito anche dai sapori. Il tè turco, servito in piccoli bicchieri a forma di tulipano, è un gesto di ospitalità onnipresente, anche se molto caffeinato.

Per una pausa dolce, il baklava è un must, mentre il simit, anello di pane ricoperto di sesamo, è lo spuntino preferito dei locali. Per una cena tipica, i ristoranti sul lungomare propongono piatti di pesce accompagnati da rakı, il liquore all’anice nazionale.

Istanbul è una città che chiede di essere esplorata con curiosità e lentezza, alternando i luoghi più celebri a quelli meno noti, come le isole dei Principi, dove non circolano automobili, o i mercati rionali pieni di frutta, olive e formaggi. In ogni angolo si percepisce la stratificazione di storie e culture, in un continuo dialogo tra passato e presente.

Istanbul is a city that calls to be explored with curiosity and a leisurely pace, alternating between its most famous landmarks and its lesser-known gems, such as the Princes’ Islands, where cars are banned, or neighbourhood markets overflowing with fruit, olives, and cheeses. La Tanzania è uno di quei luoghi che racchiudono l’immaginario dell’Africa in un’unica nazione: grandi spazi selvaggi, fauna straordinaria, spiagge bianchissime e montagne leggendarie. Partendo dall’Italia, raggiungerla non richiede troppi passaggi: voli diretti non ce ne sono, ma con uno scalo — spesso a Istanbul, Doha o Addis Abeba — si atterra a Dar es Salaam o all’aeroporto del Kilimangiaro, base perfetta per iniziare l’avventura.

La prima immagine che viene in mente parlando di Tanzania è quella del safari. Il Parco Nazionale del Serengeti è un nome che evoca scenari epici: pianure infinite, albe dorate e branchi di gnu e zebre che compiono la grande migrazione, seguiti dai predatori. Qui, tra febbraio e marzo, si possono osservare le nascite, mentre da luglio a ottobre i grandi spostamenti attraversano il fiume Mara, in uno spettacolo naturale di rara intensità. Non meno affascinante è il cratere di Ngorongoro, un’enorme caldera vulcanica che ospita una concentrazione impressionante di animali in un paesaggio che sembra un anfiteatro naturale.

EN. Tanzania is one of those places that embody the very idea of Africa within a single nation: vast wild spaces, extraordinary wildlife, white sandy beaches, and legendary mountains. Departing from Italy is simple: there are no direct flights, but with one stop — often in Istanbul, Doha, or Addis Ababa — you land in Dar es Salaam or Kilimanjaro Airport, the perfect base to begin your adventure.

The first image that comes to mind when speaking of Tanzania is that of the safari. The Serengeti National Park is a name that conjures epic scenes: endless plains, golden sunrises, and herds of wildebeest and zebras making the great migration, followed by predators.

Between February and March, you can witness the calving season, while from July to October, massive crossings take place over the Mara River in a natural spectacle of rare intensity. Equally fascinating is the Ngorongoro Crater, an immense volcanic caldera hosting an impressive concentration of wildlife in a landscape resembling a natural amphitheatre.

For those who love direct contact with nature, Tanzania also offers lesser-known parks such as Tarangire, famous for its giant baobabs and elephant herds, or the Selous,

spesso cresciute in queste terre, sanno raccontare non solo i comportamenti degli animali, ma anche le leggende e i ritmi della vita africana. La Tanzania non è solo safari: sul versante opposto dello spettro, c’è Zanzibar, isola delle spezie e meta ideale per chi vuole combinare natura e mare. Le sue spiagge di sabbia finissima e le acque turchesi dell’Oceano Indiano invitano a giornate lente, scandite da nuotate, immersioni e passeggiate nei mercati di Stone Town, patrimonio UNESCO, dove le architetture arabe, indiane ed europee si fondono in un intrico di vicoli profumati di chiodi di garofano. Qui è impossibile non lasciarsi tentare da piatti di pesce appena pescato e da frutta tropicale dolcissima.

Un’altra icona della Tanzania è il Kilimangiaro, il “tetto d’Africa”. Con i suoi 5.895 metri, è la montagna più alta del continente e un richiamo irresistibile per gli escursionisti. Le sue pendici offrono diversi itinerari di trekking, dai più impegnativi ai più accessibili, con paesaggi che passano dalla savana alle foreste pluviali, fino ai ghiacciai vicino alla vetta.

Its powdery white beaches and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean invite slow days filled with swimming, diving, and wandering through the markets of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site where Arab, Indian, and European architecture blend in a maze of alleys scented with cloves. Here it’s impossible to resist freshly caught fish and the sweetest tropical fruits.

Another Tanzanian icon is Kilimanjaro, the “Roof of Africa.” At 5,895 metres, it’s the highest mountain on the continent and an irresistible draw for hikers. Its slopes offer trekking routes ranging from challenging to accessible, with landscapes shifting from savannah to rainforest, up to glaciers near the summit. Even for

Come, volete un assaggio? Prima di decidervi ad affrontare i su e giù delle colline dolci? A Senigallia salite allora sugli spalti della Rocca Roveresca. Quello che vedete laggiù, spalle al mare, è un paesaggio che non ha niente da invidiare alla campagna toscana. Ci sono tornata per due estati di seguito, l’ultima volta a giugno, in occasione di W! Il festival delle Cicliste per Caso, un evento che vi consiglio di appuntarvi in agenda già adesso, per l’anno prossimo. Specialmente se la bici è il vostro mezzo. È un evento che chiama a

EN. Have you ever heard of the Val Mivola? We’re in the Marche region, in the province of Ancona, and Val Mivola is the area nestled between the valleys of the Misa and Nevola rivers. Senigallia is one of the nine towns that are part of it.

Well, now you know: it’s not wise to leave Senigallia behind — once you’ve given it the time it deserves, and had a proper dose of sea and sun — without first making a detour inland, in one or perhaps all of the other eight towns of Val Mivola.

What’s that, you want a preview? Before tackling the gentle ups and downs of the hills?

Then start in Senigallia, by climbing the ramparts of the Rocca Roveresca. What you see out there, with your back to the sea, is a landscape that easily rivals the Tuscan countryside.

I’ve gone back for two summers in a row, the last time in June, for W! Il festival delle Cicliste per Caso — a festival I highly recommend adding to next year’s calendar, especially if the bicycle is your vehicle of choice. It’s an event that brings together women cyclists, to ride along the winding roads that embrace the stunning hills, but also to share stories, build courage and a sense of adventure, during three days of talks, hands-on workshops, and performances in the evocative setting of the Roman Amphitheatre in Castelleone di Suasa.

Well, I was completely taken by Val Mivola and its towns, and I want to share with you my ideas for a little itinerary, highlighting a cultural attraction in each of the eight villages.

I’m confident there’s no need to waste words on the landscape — these hills, after all, are not so different from those that inspired Leopardi’s L’Infinito.

Bene, io dalla Val Mivola e dai suoi borghi sono rimasta affascinata e voglio condividere con voi i miei spunti per un itinerario in questi luoghi, segnalandovi per ciascuno degli otto borghi un’attrazione culturale. Certa che sul paesaggio, con colline simili a quelle che hanno ispirato L’Infinito di Leopardi, non ci sia bisogno di spendere parole.

Trecastelli, a municipality formed in 2014 by the merger of Ripe, Castel Colonna and Monterado — the first you’ll reach coming from the coast — is home to the Nori De’ Nobili Museum, dedicated to this utterly unique artist I hadn’t heard of before, a sort of Italian Frida Kahlo. Don’t miss the Centro Studi sulla Donna nelle Arti Visive Contemporanee (Research Centre on Women in Contemporary Visual Arts), focused on exploring femininity in contemporary art.

Ostra, the city of music, is where you’ll find Teatro La Vittoria, whose current structure dates back to 1863 and is incorporated into the right wing of the town hall. A real gem — barely 78 square metres, cosy as a small flat, yet it can seat nearly 200 people. Even the famous Eleonora Duse performed there.

Corinaldo, the “town of madmen” and one of Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages, boasts the best-preserved town walls in the Marche region. In the 1400s, it was considered the safest

A Trecastelli, un comune nato nel 2014 dalla fusione di Ripe, Castel Colonna e Monterado – il primo che s’incontra venendo dal mare – visitate il Museo Nori De’ Nobili, dedicato a questa artista particolarissima, che non conoscevo, una Frida Khalo italiana. E il Centro Studi sulla Donna nelle Arti Visive Contemporanee, dedicato alla ricerca del femminile nell’arte contemporanea.

A Ostra, la città della musica, visitate il Teatro la Vittoria, la cui struttura attuale risale al 1863, inglobata nell’area destra del Palazzo comunale. Una vera bomboniera, appena 78 m², un appartamento che può ospitare però quasi 200 persone.

Si dice che anche Eleonora Duse vi si esibì.

Corinaldo, il “paese dei matti” e uno dei borghi più belli d’Italia, vanta la cerchia muraria meglio conservata delle Marche. Nel 1400 era considerato il castello più sicuro di tutta la marca anconetana. A Corinaldo inerpicatevi sulla magnifica scalinata che è una delle vie più antiche della parte medievale del paese.

Ostra Vetere ha guglie che spiccano sul paesaggio, alle spalle gli Appennini delle Grotte di Frasassi. Il suo Museo Civico Parrocchiale, Palazzo Marulli, accoglie opere che vanno dal Quattrocento al Settecento.

L’area archeologica di Castelleone di Suasa impone una sosta lenta, meditando sulle origini pre-romane del luogo e sui barbari Senoni che diedero filo da torcere ai Romani; i quali alla fine li vinsero, ma forse li inglobarono nella loro città. Una città con tanto di terme e anfiteatro. Sono incredibili i resti della domus dei Coiedii, una ricca abitazione

fortress in the Ancona area. In Corinaldo, climb the beautiful staircase — one of the oldest streets in the medieval part of town.

Ostra Vetere has spires that stand out against the landscape, with the Apennines behind. Its Civic and Parish Museum, housed in Palazzo Marulli, preserves works ranging from the 15th to the 18th century.

The archaeological area of Castelleone di Suasa is well worth a slow-paced visit and a moment to reflect on the pre-Roman origins of the site and the Senones — the fierce barbarians who gave the Romans a hard time. In the end,

the Romans defeated them, but perhaps also absorbed them into their city. A city complete with baths and an amphitheatre. The remains of the Domus of the Coiedii — an opulent patrician home of surprising size, especially given the modest dimensions of the ancient town of Suasa — are extraordinary.

Part of the findings is on display at the City Museum of Suasa, inside Palazzo Livia della Rovere.

In Barbara, the Castle, renovated in the 15th century, is still surrounded by a sloped wall with four fortified corner towers, culminating in a tall central keep known as ‘l Torrione. Don’t miss the baptistery inside the beautiful Abbey Church of Santa Maria Assunta. A stunning surprise!

The historic centre of Serra de’ Conti is one of the best-preserved urban layouts in the province of Ancona. Don’t miss the Museum of Monastic Arts, which houses collections of objects from the nearby Monastery of Santa Maria Maddalena. The cloistered nuns preserved and used these items, ENJOY YOUR TRIP | 33

patrizia dalle dimensioni sorprendenti, sproporzionate rispetto alla grandezza ridotta della città di Suasa. Una parte dei ritrovamenti è esposta al Museo della Città di Suasa, nel palazzo Livia della Rovere.

A Barbara il Castello, ristrutturato nel Quattrocento, è tuttora circondato da una muraglia con scarpa, munita di quattro fortificazioni d’angolo e culminante in un imponente mastio sopraelevato, definito ‘l Torrione. Qui da vedere il battistero della bellissima Chiesa abbaziale Santa Maria Assunta. Sorprendente!

Il centro storico di Serra de’ Conti è uno degli impianti urbanistici meglio conservati della provincia di Ancona. Passate dal Museo delle Arti Monastiche, che ospita collezioni di oggetti provenienti dal vicino Monastero di Santa Maria Maddalena. Le suore di clausura hanno custodito nel tempo e utilizzato oggetti che parlano di un passato lontano.

E infine, Arcevia, con i suoi nove castelli, che sorgevano su alture, in una posizione strategica, con affacci ad ampio respiro per controllare il territorio. Io cito il castello di Piticchio, con il suo museo Giocando, e Nidastore, così chiamato per la sua forma che ricorda quella del nido dell’astore; e con una storia interessante sulla ribellione dei vassalli al signore del luogo che imponeva lo ius primae noctis. Ma sono tutti da visitare e da scoprire.

which speak to a long-forgotten past. And finally, Arcevia, with its nine castles, each built on a hilltop in strategic positions with wide views over the surrounding territory. I’ll mention Piticchio Castle, with its Giocando toy museum, and Nidastore – named for its shape, which resembles a goshawk’s nest, and tied to an intriguing story of rebellion, when the local vassals rose up against the lord who enforced the ius primae noctis. But really, they’re all worth visiting and discovering.

“Questo posto è incantevole, è un paradiso… Sono rimasto davvero commosso, quasi piangendo, nel vedere quante cose belle sono state fatte da Dio. Perché questo è davvero un paradiso”. Così descriveva Luciano l’isola di Pangkor, in Malesia. E se cercate la perfetta meta mare, questa è la scelta giusta. L’isola si trova a soli 10 minuti dalla terraferma e dista circa 250 km da Kuala Lumpur. È ricca di spiagge lussureggianti dove godersi il sole e il mare, ma offre anche tante attività, tra cui alcuni interessantissimi siti storici.

Situata sulla costa occidentale della Malesia peninsulare, l’isola di Pangkor è famosa per i suoi panorami. L’isola è anche costellata di pittoreschi villaggi di pescatori, che meritano di essere visitati per scoprire di più sulla vita degli abitanti malesi.

Naturalmente qui sono le spiagge a farla da padrona.

PANGKOR: PARADISE REDISCOVERED EN. “This place is enchanting, it’s a paradise… I was truly moved, almost to tears, seeing so many beautiful things created by God. Because this is truly a paradise.” This is how Luciano described the island of Pangkor, in Malaysia.

And if you’re looking for the perfect seaside destination, this is the right choice. The island is just a 10-minute boat ride from the mainland and about 250 km from Kuala Lumpur. It boasts lush beaches where you can enjoy the sun and sea, but also offers many activities, including some fascinating historical sites.

Located on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Pangkor Island is famous for its stunning scenery. It is also dotted with picturesque fishing villages, worth visiting to learn more about the daily life of Malaysian locals.

Naturally, the beaches are the island’s main draw. Among the most famous are Teluk Nipah, Coral Bay, and Pasir

all’orizzonte. Ma soprattutto, è il momento in cui arrivano stormi di splendidi bucerotidi dal particolarissimo becco arancione ai quali si può anche dare del cibo, sotto la supervisione di guide esperte naturalmente.

Pangkor, però, non è famosa solo per la sua atmosfera rilassante e per il mare, ma anche per il suo ricco patrimonio storico. Nel cuore dell’isola si erge fiero e maestoso un forte olandese del XVII secolo, pronto per essere esplorato. Il forte fu originariamente costruito per controllare il commercio dello stagno del Perak.

Da visitare ci sono anche due bellissime moschee, Masjid Seribu Selawat e Masjid Seribu Doa. La prima è nota anche come “Moschea galleggiante”, in quanto sorge su delle palafitte immerse nell’acqua ed è davvero unica. L’interno della moschea è splendidamente decorato con dettagli blu e, tra gli elementi decorativi, si possono ammirare oltre mille incisioni della frase araba “Selawat”, pronunciata dai musulmani nelle loro preghiere quotidiane. Sull’isola si trovano anche numerose fabbriche di lavorazione di frutti di mare, dove è possibile fermarsi per assaggiare una varietà di snack a base di pesce: lo spuntino più popolare, qui, è il Fish Satay.

A ottobre 2025, l’isola di Pangkor ospita un evento musicale imperdibile intitolato Opera in Paradise. Sullo sfondo mozzafiato di una foresta pluviale vecchia di due milioni di anni e di acque cristalline, su una piccolissima isola privata dove sorge il lussuosissimo Pangkor Laut Resort, viene allestito un palcoscenico senza pari sul quale si esibiscono musicisti di fama mondiale, tra cui Andrea Griminelli, protégé dello stesso Pavarotti. Gli artisti trasformeranno per tre giorni (dal 10 al 12) il teatro all’aperto di Pangkor Laut in uno straordinario anfiteatro naturale, dove arie struggenti si armonizzano con le brezze sussurrate della foresta pluviale e con il ritmo pulsante dello Stretto di Malacca, creando un’esperienza operistica senza pari nel Sud-est asiatico. Questo paradiso dista tre ore d’auto da Kuala Lumpur, più mezz’ora di traghetto.

Bogak. According to locals, the best time to head to the beach is at sunset, when you can dip your feet in the cool water while watching the sun disappear over the horizon. This is also the moment when flocks of spectacular hornbills, with their striking orange beaks, arrive. Under the guidance of experienced guides, visitors can even feed them.

But Pangkor is not only famous for its relaxing atmosphere and the sea—it also boasts a rich historical heritage. In the heart of the island stands a proud 17th-century Dutch fort, ready to be explored. The fort was originally built to control the tin trade from Perak. Also worth visiting are two beautiful mosques, Masjid Seribu Selawat and Masjid Seribu Doa. The first is also known as the “Floating Mosque” as it stands on stilts in the water and is truly unique. The mosque’s interior is beautifully decorated with blue details and, among its decorations, visitors can admire over a thousand carvings of the Arabic phrase “Selawat,” recited by Muslims in their daily prayers.

The island is also home to numerous seafood processing factories, where visitors can stop and sample a variety of fishbased snacks—the most popular being Fish Satay.

In October 2025, Pangkor Island will host an unmissable music event titled Opera in Paradise. Against the breathtaking backdrop of a two-million-year-old rainforest and crystal-clear waters, on a tiny private island home to the ultra-luxurious Pangkor Laut Resort, an unparalleled stage will be set for world-class musicians, including Andrea Griminelli, protégé of Pavarotti himself. For three days (October 10–12), the artists will transform the open-air theatre of Pangkor Laut into an extraordinary natural amphitheatre, where moving arias will harmonise with the whispering breezes of the rainforest and the rhythmic pulse of the Strait of Malacca—creating an opera experience unlike any other in Southeast Asia.

This paradise is a three-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur, plus a half-hour ferry ride. An experience well worth the journey.

A new tourist train departs from Rome directly to Munich in time for the world’s most famous beer festival, Oktoberfest.

The Espresso Monaco will be a special night train featuring sleeping cars with 4–6 berth compartments, a restaurant car, and even entertainment and craft beer tastings—so the Oktoberfest celebrations begin right on board. The train will also stop in Verona, Trento, Bolzano, Bressanone, Fortezza, Vipiteno, Colle Isarco, Brenner, Innsbruck, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and finally Munich. There are two departure dates from Rome Termini: September 26 and October 3, with return trips scheduled for September 28 and October 5, respectively.

Non un semplice trekking, ma un’avventura geologica e scientifica che permette di scoprire la storia delle Alpi. Il sentiero della Val Zebrù, in 12 km, racconta le metamorfosi e l’evoluzione della montagna che, in passato, è stata prima spiaggia, poi regno di ghiacciai e, oggi, simbolo della fragilità legata all’emergenza ambientale. THE TINY MUSEUM IN THE WOODS

Cosa è cambiato nel vostro brand in questi ultimi anni?

Abbiamo scelto un’evoluzione autentica, non una rivoluzione, ancora più marcata in questa ultima stagione SS26. L’identità del prodotto è solida, oggi rafforziamo l’immagine, rendendola specchio fedele della nostra qualità e visione. Un ecosistema coerente tra prodotto, immagine e valori, per parlare al mondo con voce unica e profonda.

Quali sono i valori su cui il brand fa riferimento e che volete condividere?

Rispetto, autenticità, artigianalità e durata. Crediamo nel valore del gesto gentile, della bellezza consapevole, in una moda che necessita un’etica maggiore e lascia traccia nel tempo, senza mai alzare la voce.

Il passaporto digitale racconta con estrema trasparenza la storia di ogni capo. È un gesto di fiducia verso chi ci sceglie.

Quanto vale in termini di percentuale la collezione donna rispetto a quella maschile?

Attualmente la donna rappresenta circa il 10…% del nostro brand, ma comunque in costante crescita. È un’estensione naturale del nostro stile, sempre più richiesta anche nei mercati internazionali.

Chi è l’uomo che veste Daniele Fiesoli? È colto, curioso, raffinato. Ama la qualità con stile, detesta gli eccessi. Cerca capi che parlino la sua lingua: sobrietà con anima, semplicità con carattere. Ma la collezione guarda anche a una nuova generazione: giovane, consapevole, desiderosa di andare oltre l’apparenza. Sono i moderni esploratori del gusto, quelli che vogliono sapere cosa c’è dietro un capo, chi lo ha creato, come e perché. Your concept of sustainability?

For us, sustainability is intention. We use organic cottons, seed-embedded tags, and produce as ethically and sustainably as possible in Tuscany. Every choice is made to last, to respect, and to return value.

Is the digital passport an added value? Your thoughts?

Absolutely. It’s transparency, traceability, product culture, respect for the informed customer and for our planet, which suffers from this and other systems. The digital passport tells the story of each garment with complete transparency—a gesture of trust towards those who choose us.

What percentage does womenswear represent compared to menswear?

Currently, womenswear accounts for about 10% of our brand, but it’s steadily growing. It’s a natural extension of our style, increasingly in demand in international markets.

Who is the man that wears Daniele Fiesoli?

He’s cultured, curious, refined. He loves quality with style, and he dislikes excess. He seeks garments that speak his language: sobriety with soul, simplicity with character. But the collection also speaks to a new generation—young, aware, eager to go beyond appearances. IL RILANCIO DI UN ICONICO BRAND Uno dei brand di sneaker più longevi al mondo è pronto al suo rilancio sui mercati internazionali.

Quando si parla di sneaker culture non tutti ricordano che uno dei marchi più longevi e innovativi non arriva da Portland né da Herzogenaurach, ma da Boston in Massachusetts e il suo nome è Etonic, un brand nato con la volontà di non seguire le mode nel settore sportivo, ma per creare calzature confortevoli dalle alte prestazioni tecniche.

Etonic affonda le sue radici nel lontano 1876, fondata da Charles A. Eaton con il nome Charles A. Eaton Company, l’obiettivo iniziale era quello di creare calzature di alta qualità pensate per durare nel tempo e nonostante non esistesse ancora il concetto di running shoes, nè quello di branding sportivo, l’azienda puntò sin dall’inizio sulla funzionalità delle proprie calzature.

Fu dall’inizio del XX secolo che l’azienda inizia ad affermarsi nel settore sportivo e contestualmente decise di cambiare il proprio nome in Etonic, unendo il nome Eaton alla parola “tonic” sottolineando l’idea di energia e vitalità, negli anni 40 e 50 il brand si presenta con i suoi modelli nel mondo del golf e del tennis ma anche in altre discipline outdoor con scarpe di livello avanzato e super tecniche, saranno gli anni 70 e 80 a decretare il successo a livello globale del marchio con l’entrata nei settori del basket e del running, grazie a modelli anatomici e leggeri.

Uno dei momenti di maggior successo fu negli anni 80 quando Akeem Olajuwon detto “the Dream” uno dei più famosi cestisti al mondo di origini nigeriane naturalizzato statunitense, non solo indossò le iconiche sneaker, ma firmò per Etonic una linea di calzature contribuendo a portare il marchio di Boston a primeggiare a livello mondiale. Nel corso dei decenni Etonic ha accompagnato generazioni di atleti e sportivi, appassionati dello sport e dilettanti, diventando un punto di riferimento in sport come il basket, la corsa, golf, tennis e bowling, sfruttando la sua visione pioneristica di soluzioni tecniche come l’introduzione dell’ammortizzazione avanzata e la progettazione di calzature in base alla tipologia di appoggio del piede.

EN. When we talk about sneaker culture, not everyone remembers that one of the oldest and most innovative brands doesn’t come from Portland or Herzogenaurach, but from Boston, Massachusetts. Its name is Etonic—a brand founded with the goal of avoiding fleeting trends in the sports industry, instead creating comfortable footwear with high technical performance. Etonic’s roots go back to 1876, when Charles A. Eaton founded the Charles A. Eaton Company with the aim of making high-quality shoes built to last. At the time, neither the concept of running shoes nor of sports branding existed, yet from the very beginning, the company focused on functionality. In the early 20th century, the company began making a name for itself in the sports sector and decided to change its name to Etonic—combining “Eaton” with the word “tonic” to convey energy and vitality. In the 1940s and ’50s, the brand entered the worlds of golf and tennis, as well as other outdoor disciplines, with highly technical, advanced footwear.

The 1970s and ’80s would mark Etonic’s global success, as it expanded into basketball and running with lightweight, anatomically designed shoes. One of the brand’s biggest moments came in the ’80s, when Akeem “The Dream” Olajuwon, one of the world’s most famous basketball players, not only wore the iconic sneakers but also signed a shoe line for Etonic—helping propel the Boston brand to worldwide prominence. Over the decades, Etonic has been worn by generations of athletes, sports enthusiasts, and amateurs, becoming a benchmark in basketball, running, golf, tennis, and bowling. It pioneered technical solutions such as advanced cushioning and designing footwear based on foot strike type. Una storia incredibile la vostra, come è cambiato il mondo delle sneakers nel tempo?

Il mondo delle sneakers è cambiato radicalmente nel corso degli anni, e la storia di Etonic ne è una dimostrazione vivente. Nata nel 1876, Etonic è uno dei marchi sportivi più antichi al mondo, e ha attraversato decenni di evoluzione, innovazione e trasformazione culturale. Un tempo le sneakers erano pensate esclusivamente per la performance sportiva: ogni dettaglio era studiato per supportare l’atleta nella sua disciplina. Oggi, pur mantenendo un’anima tecnica e funzionale, le sneakers sono diventate simboli di identità, stile e appartenenza.

Negli anni ’80 e ’90 Etonic era già protagonista nel running e nel basket, ma oggi rivisitiamo quei codici con uno sguardo contemporaneo, fondendo heritage e innovazione. Founded in 1876, Etonic is one of the oldest sports brands in the world and has lived through decades of evolution, innovation, and cultural transformation. Sneakers were once designed solely for sports performance—every detail studied to support the athlete in their discipline. Today, while retaining a technical and functional core, sneakers have become symbols of identity, style, and belonging.

In the ’80s and ’90s, Etonic was already a major player in running and basketball. Today, we revisit those codes with a contemporary outlook, blending heritage and innovation.

Sneakers are now part of urban culture, lifestyle, and even high fashion. Our mission is twofold: to protect the brand’s authenticity while engaging new generations, anticipating trends, and reinterpreting the past with coherence.

Quale sport vi rappresenta meglio?

Etonic ha una forte anima multisportiva, ma se dovessimo scegliere uno sport che ci rappresenta più di ogni altro, sarebbe sicuramente il running. È da lì che arriva il nostro DNA tecnico: dalle prime scarpe da corsa degli anni ’70 alle innovazioni introdotte nei decenni successivi, il running è stato il terreno su cui abbiamo costruito la nostra reputazione in termini di performance, ergonomia e durabilità. Correre significa costanza, resistenza, evoluzione — valori che sentiamo profondamente nostri. Ma accanto al running, anche il basket ha avuto un ruolo importante nella nostra storia, specialmente negli anni ’80 e ’90, quando alcuni modelli Etonic venivano scelti da atleti professionisti. Oggi portiamo avanti quell’eredità in chiave lifestyle, reinterpretando silhouette iconiche con materiali e dettagli contemporanei.

Chi disegna i vostri modelli?

I nostri modelli sono disegnati da un team di design interno, che lavora quotidianamente a stretto contatto con il reparto marketing e con l’archivio storico del brand. Questo ci permette di avere una visione coerente e di reinterpretare l’archivio del brand con occhi contemporanei, mantenendo sempre fede all’identità tecnica e autentica di Etonic. Il nostro approccio non è mai guidato da mode passeggere, ma da un’attenta ricerca su materiali, funzionalità ed evoluzione culturale. Il team ha una forte sensibilità per l’equilibrio tra forma e funzione: conosce le esigenze ergonomiche, l’importanza della performance, ma anche la necessità di creare prodotti che parlino al consumatore contemporaneo, con stile e autenticità.

Sul tema della sostenibilità come vi state muovendo?

Per noi la sostenibilità non è uno slogan, ma un percorso concreto che stiamo affrontando con consapevolezza e responsabilità. Il primo passo è stato ripensare i materiali: oggi utilizziamo ecopellami e tessuti tecnici selezionati per ridurre l’impatto ambientale, e stiamo ampliando l’uso di componenti riciclati e a basso consumo energetico anche nelle suole.

Allo stesso tempo, stiamo lavorando sulla durabilità del prodotto, perché una sneaker che dura nel tempo è già di per sé una scelta più sostenibile. Il nostro obiettivo è offrire un design responsabile senza compromettere stile e performance, mantenendo fede alla qualità che ha sempre contraddistinto Etonic. La sostenibilità è una direzione che non vogliamo solo seguire, ma integrare nel nostro modo di pensare, progettare e comunicare, passo dopo passo.

What materials do you prefer to use?

In our collections, material choice is guided by a balance of performance, comfort, and sustainability. For outsoles, we use rubber compounds of varying densities to optimise shock absorption and provide targeted support in different foot zones. We also integrate composite materials in strategic points to ensure greater stability, especially in models inspired by our running heritage.

For uppers, we favour technical materials such as breathable mesh—ensuring lightness and ventilation even with prolonged use—and the latest-generation ecoleathers, chosen not only for their contemporary look but also for our commitment to more responsible design.

Our goal is to offer products that combine aesthetics, functionality, and durability—remaining true to Etonic’s technical DNA while keeping pace with evolving consumer needs and values.

Which sport represents you best?

Etonic has a strong multi-sport identity, but if we had to choose one sport that best represents us, it would be running. That’s where our technical DNA comes from—from the first running shoes of the 1970s to the innovations introduced in the decades that followed.

Running has been the foundation of our reputation for performance, ergonomics, and durability. Running means consistency, endurance, and evolution—values we deeply share. Alongside running, basketball has also played an important role in our history, especially in the ’80s and ’90s, when professional athletes chose Etonic models. Today, we carry that legacy forward in a lifestyle context, reinterpreting iconic silhouettes with modern materials and details.

Who designs your models?

Our models are designed by an in-house design team that works daily in close contact with marketing and with the brand’s historical archive. This allows us to maintain a coherent vision and reinterpret the archive with a contemporary eye, while remaining true to Etonic’s technical and authentic identity. Our approach is never driven by passing trends, but by thorough research into materials, functionality, and cultural evolution.

The team has a strong sense of balance between form and function—understanding ergonomic needs, the importance of performance, and the necessity of creating products that speak to today’s consumer with style and authenticity.

How are you approaching sustainability?

For us, sustainability is not a slogan but a concrete journey we are pursuing with awareness and responsibility. The first step was rethinking materials: today we use eco-leathers and selected technical fabrics to reduce environmental impact, and we are expanding the use of recycled and low-energy components, including in our soles. At the same time, we are working on product durability, because a sneaker that lasts longer is already a more sustainable choice. Etonic nasce come brand tecnico e sportivo, ed è proprio da lì che arriva la nostra autenticità. Tuttavia, nel tempo abbiamo saputo evolverci, portando quel know-how in un contesto più lifestyle, senza mai snaturare il nostro DNA. Oggi ci posizioniamo in un territorio ibrido, dove la cultura sportiva incontra l’estetica contemporanea. Non ci interessa scegliere tra performance e stile: vogliamo che le nostre sneaker raccontino una storia vera, fatta di funzionalità, qualità e identità, ma che siano anche portabili nella quotidianità, con un’attitudine fashion. Etonic was born as a technical sports brand, and that’s where our authenticity comes from. However, over time we have evolved, bringing that know-how into a more lifestyle-oriented context without ever losing our DNA. Today, we position ourselves in a hybrid space where sports culture meets contemporary aesthetics. We’re not interested in choosing between performance and style—we want our sneakers to tell a true story, built on functionality, quality, and identity, but also wearable in everyday life with a fashion-forward attitude.

This balance between sport and lifestyle is what makes us recognisable and relevant today.

What are your key markets?

Our key markets reflect the dual soul of the brand: the sporting heritage of Etonic, and the lifestyle approach that allows us to connect with an audience attentive to style and product identity. We’re currently seeing strong success in Northern Europe, where our functional approach, essential design, and authentic storytelling resonate deeply.

At the same time, we’re working with great determination on the Italian market, which is strategically important to us. Italy is demanding but incredibly stimulating—a place where attention to detail, style, and product narrative pushes us to deliver our best. What new products did you present at Pitti Immagine Uomo?

At Pitti Immagine Uomo, we showcased our latest release: the TRANS AM, a model that perfectly embodies our philosophy, where heritage meets innovation. It’s a restyling of a 1980s running shoe, reinterpreted with a minimal, essential design. The TRANS AM is unlined, with a thin sole—extremely lightweight and comfortable to wear—thanks to the elasticated collar that naturally hugs the foot.

It’s designed for those seeking authenticity, functionality, and a clean aesthetic, in perfect balance between sporting spirit and lifestyle appeal. It’s a model that speaks of the past with its eyes on the future—fully embodying Etonic’s new direction: authentic, essential, contemporary.

A Pitti Immagine Uomo abbiamo presentato la nostra ultima novità: la TRANS AM, un modello che rappresenta perfettamente la nostra filosofia, dove Heritage e innovazione si incontrano. Si tratta del restyling di una scarpa da running degli anni ’80, reinterpretata in chiave contemporanea con un design minimal ed essenziale. La TRANS AM è una sneaker sfoderata, dalla suola sottile, estremamente leggera e comoda da indossare, grazie al collarino elasticizzato che abbraccia il piede con naturalezza. È pensata per chi cerca autenticità, funzionalità e un’estetica pulita, in perfetto equilibrio tra spirito sportivo e vocazione lifestyle. Nel vasto e omologato universo dello streetwear contemporaneo, nel quale l’urgenza dell’hype tende a consumare ogni tentativo di autenticità, IUTER si è distinto come una voce fuori dal coro, capace di raccontare una storia profondamente radicata nella cultura urbana milanese ma proiettata con consapevolezza verso un orizzonte internazionale. Nato nel 2002 da un gruppo di amici uniti dalla passione per lo skateboard, la musica rap e l’estetica metropolitana, il brand ha saputo crescere senza mai perdere il contatto con le proprie origini, trasformandosi nel tempo in un progetto culturale prima ancora che in uno di semplice moda.

UNA SORPRESA INASPETTATA Liam Gallagher una scelta spontanea che sposa il brand Ten c

Liam Gallagher, in occasione del primo concerto di un tour di reunion degli Oasis, ha indossato un capospalla di archivio che appartiene alla limited edition lanciata nell’aprile 2024 da Ten c in collaborazione con Awake NY, frutto della partnership tra due creativi d’eccezione come Alessandro Pungetti e Angelo Baque.

La giacca è caratterizzata da una stampa che riproduce la mappa del substrato roccioso dei quartieri di Manhattan, un print camouflage originale e davvero unico. I materiali usati sono il nylon crinkle abbinato all’OJJ. Il capospalla, che alterna verde militare e verde acido, è personalizzato con entrambi i loghi. La classica etichetta in OJJ, cucita internamente, riporta sia il logo di Ten c sia quello di Awake NY. Esternamente invece, tiretto e cappuccio presentano solo il logo il Awake NY. Scelta che rispetta i codici di entrambi i marchi: Ten c da sempre no logo e Awake NY che ha fatto del proprio marchio un importante tool di comunicazione. Una piacevole sorpresa per il brand appartenente al gruppo FGF Industry di Enzo Fusco.

Ten c, AN UNEXPECTED SURPRISE | Liam Gallagher, a spontaneous choice that embraces the Ten c brand EN. On the occasion of the first concert of the Oasis reunion tour, Liam Gallagher wore an archival outerwear piece from the limited edition launched in April 2024

by Ten c in collaboration with Awake NY, the result of a partnership between two exceptional creatives, Alessandro Pungetti and Angelo Baque. The jacket features a striking print that reproduces the bedrock map of Manhattan’s neighborhoods—an original and truly unique camouflage design. Materials used include crinkle nylon combined with OJJ. The outerwear piece, alternating between military green and acid green, is customized with both logos. The classic OJJ label, stitched inside, carries the branding of both Ten c and Awake NY. Externally, however, the pull tab and hood feature only the Awake NY logo.

A choice that perfectly respects the DNA of both brands: Ten c, which has always embraced a no-logo philosophy, and Awake NY, which has made its own branding a powerful communication tool. A pleasant surprise for the brand, part of the FGF Industry group led by Enzo Fusco.

Caravan è un road movie drammatico, distribuito da Wanted che affronta temi profondi come il desiderio di libertà, la natura imperfetta dell’amore e la difficile, ma necessaria, transizione dal sopravvivere al vivere. La regista Zuzana Kirchnerová, già nota per il suo lavoro pluripremiato Bába, esplora nuovamente l’intensità dei legami familiari e il peso degli obblighi che ne derivano.

Il film segue Ester, una donna ceca di 45 anni che ha dedicato la sua vita al figlio adolescente David, affetto da disabilità mentale. Durante una vacanza in Italia, Ester decide impulsivamente di prendere il camper degli amici e di partire con David verso il sud del Paese. Il loro viaggio si trasforma in un’esperienza di scoperta, soprattutto quando incontrano Zuza, una giovane senzatetto che si unisce a loro. Giunti in Calabria, il paesaggio e le nuove dinamiche offrono a Ester la speranza che una vita migliore sia possibile per lei e per il figlio.

Caravan is a dramatic road movie, distributed by Wanted, that delves into profound themes such as the yearning for freedom, the imperfect nature of love, and the difficult—but necessary—shift from merely surviving to truly living. Director Zuzana Kirchnerová, already acclaimed for her awardwinning short Bába, once again explores the intensity of family bonds and the weight of the obligations they bring.

The film follows Ester, a 45-year-old Czech woman who has devoted her life to caring for her teenage son David, who has a mental disability. While on holiday in Italy, Ester impulsively decides to take her friends’ campervan and set off with David towards the south of the country. Their journey becomes an experience of discovery, especially after they meet Zuza, a young homeless woman who joins them. Once they reach Calabria, the landscape and the new relationships give Ester hope that a better life might be possible for her and her son.

L’approccio quasi semi-documentaristico del film, unito alla convincente interpretazione di Anna Gaislerová nei panni di Ester, conferisce alla narrazione un profondo realismo. Sebbene la pellicola tenda talvolta a virate simboliche che possono apparire superflue (come l’uso ricorrente di immagini del mare, di vetri e dell’arcobaleno), il suo fragile equilibrio riesce a toccare le corde giuste, trasformandola in un potente dramma umanista.

Il pittore ungherese Péter Duhaj si inserisce nel panorama dell’iperrealismo contemporaneo traendo ispirazione da maestri connazionali come Zsolt Bodoni, László Nyári, István Sándorfy e Tibor Csernus.

Partendo da questi modelli, Duhaj ha sviluppato una visione personale che punta alla più fedele riproduzione del dato reale. Il suo stile si distingue per un’estrema accuratezza nella resa di dettagli cromatici, forme, movimento ed emozioni, spesso incarnate in figure femminili. Queste donne, ritratte con corpi perfetti, irradiano una sottile ma potente carica erotica e mistica. Questo approccio è perfettamente esemplificato in Awakening after a long night, opera, nata da un’esperienza vissuta dall’artista, che ritrae una giovane donna svegliatasi dopo una notte di festa.

La posa sognante, l’espressione del viso e il corpo esposto sono concepiti per invitare l’osservatore a immaginare la storia, le emozioni e i pensieri della protagonista. Un interessante parallelo storico può essere tracciato con Rest 2, celebre opera del maestro coreano Chang Hong Ahn. Il rientro dalle vacanze è un momento delicato. Si passa dalla lentezza delle giornate libere alla frenesia di agende fitte, email accumulate e impegni che si accavallano. Non è raro provare un senso di malinconia, come se il benessere accumulato in vacanza fosse destinato a dissolversi in pochi giorni.

Eppure, con qualche piccolo gesto consapevole, è possibile mantenere vivo quello stato di calma e apertura mentale, trasformando la ripartenza in un’occasione per consolidare nuove abitudini. La Mindfulness, intesa come pratica di attenzione intenzionale e senza giudizio al momento presente, può diventare un alleato prezioso. Non richiede ore di meditazione né ritiri spirituali: bastano pochi minuti al giorno, praticati con costanza, per allenare la mente a non farsi trascinare dall’automatismo e dalla corsa continua. Il segreto è iniziare in piccolo.

Dopo le vacanze, il rischio è voler cambiare troppe cose insieme, imponendosi routine irrealistiche. Meglio invece introdurre gesti semplici, collegati a momenti già presenti nella nostra giornata. Così, la pratica diventa sostenibile e non un ulteriore compito da spuntare.

1. RESPIRO DI INIZIO GIORNATA

Appena svegli, prima di aprire il telefono o pensare alla lista delle cose da fare, prendi due minuti per respirare in modo consapevole. Siediti comodo, inspira contando fino a quattro, espira contando fino a sei. Questo ritmo rallenta il battito cardiaco, calma il sistema nervoso e crea uno spazio mentale per iniziare la giornata con maggiore centratura.

2. PAUSA DI PRESENZA

Durante la giornata, soprattutto nei momenti di maggiore tensione, fermati per un minuto. EN. Returning from holidays is a delicate moment. We move from the slow pace of free days to the rush of packed schedules, overflowing inboxes, and overlapping commitments. It’s common to feel a touch of melancholy, as if the well-being gained on holiday is destined to fade within days.

Yet, with a few mindful gestures, it’s possible to keep that state of calm and openness alive, turning the restart into a chance to strengthen new habits.Mindfulness, understood as the practice of intentional, non-judgmental attention to the present moment, can be a powerful ally. It doesn’t require hours of meditation or spiritual retreats: just a few minutes a day, practised consistently, can train the mind to step out of autopilot and resist the constant rush. The key is to start small. After holidays, the risk is wanting to change too much at once, imposing unrealistic routines. It’s better to introduce simple gestures, linked to moments that already exist in our daily life. This way, the practice becomes sustainable rather than another task to tick off.

1. MORNING BREATH

Upon waking, before checking your phone or thinking about your to-do list, take two minutes for mindful breathing. Sit comfortably, inhale to a count of four, exhale to a count of six. This rhythm slows your heart rate, calms your nervous system, and creates mental space to begin the day centred.

2. PRESENCE PAUSE

During the day, especially at moments of high tension, pause for one minute. You can set a phone reminder or link it to a daily gesture, like drinking a glass of water. In that moment,

Scriverli su un quaderno amplifica l’effetto, trasformandoli in una sorta di archivio di gratitudine a cui tornare nei momenti più difficili.

Per mantenere queste buone abitudini, è utile “ancorarle” a situazioni già consolidate: il respiro del mattino subito dopo aver acceso la macchinetta del caffè, la pausa di presenza tra un’email e l’altra, il rituale serale a letto, prima di spegnere la luce. Questo principio, noto come habit stacking (accumulo di abitudini), rende la pratica più naturale e meno soggetta a essere dimenticata. Un altro aspetto fondamentale è la gentilezza verso se stessi. This principle, known as habit stacking, makes the practice more natural and less likely to be forgotten. Another key element is kindness toward yourself. It’s a form of mental hygiene: just as we brush our teeth daily, we can “clean” the mind of tension and reactivity, making room for clarity and calm.

Even a few minutes a day, practised with consistency, can transform how we experience everyday life: we notice small pleasures more easily, respond to challenges with more balance, and learn to create breathing spaces even in the busiest periods. In this way, the return from holidays stops being a sudden brake and becomes the chance to set a more mindful, sustainable rhythm, aligned with what truly matters to us.

IL FISCO DIGITALE TRA RIFORME E DIBATTITI GLOBALI

L’economia globale sta cambiando a una velocità impressionante, spostandosi sempre più verso il digitale. Grandi piattaforme, servizi online e innovazioni tecnologiche hanno trasformato il modo in cui viviamo e facciamo affari. Ma come fa il fisco a stare al passo?

In Italia, la risposta a questa sfida si chiama Imposta sui Servizi Digitali (ISD), comunemente nota come “Web Tax”, una misura che continua a evolversi e a generare un acceso dibattito.

Che cos’è l’Imposta sui Servizi Digitali (ISD)?

A partire dal 1° gennaio 2020, l’Italia ha introdotto una tassa del 3% sui ricavi generati da determinate attività digitali nel nostro Paese. A differenza di una tassa sui consumatori, questa imposta colpisce le grandi aziende, sia italiane che straniere, che operano nel settore digitale. Non è un’imposta generalizzata, ma si applica specificamente a chi supera determinate soglie di ricavi globali e nazionali e offre servizi come: • Pubblicità online: La vendita di spazi pubblicitari su piattaforme digitali.

• Servizi di intermediazione: L’intermediazione tra utenti, come nei marketplace o sui social network.

• Trasmissione di dati: La vendita o l’elaborazione di dati degli utenti.

L’obiettivo principale è chiaro: garantire che anche i giganti del web contribuiscano al fisco del Paese in cui generano valore, superando le logiche fiscali tradizionali che si basano sulla presenza fisica dell’azienda.

Un quadro in continua evoluzione: Le novità dal 2025 La Web Tax non è una misura statica. La Legge di Bilancio 2025 ha introdotto importanti cambiamenti per allineare l’imposta ad altre imposte sui redditi e semplificarne la gestione. In particolare, il sistema di versamento è stato modificato, passando da un’unica soluzione a un meccanismo a due rate: • Un acconto del 30% da versare entro il 30 novembre.

• Il saldo del 70% da corrispondere entro il 16 maggio dell’anno successivo. È importante notare che sebbene ci siano stati dibattiti sulla possibilità di eliminare del tutto le soglie di fatturato, al momento la Web Tax continua ad applicarsi solo a chi supera i 750 milioni di euro di ricavi globali e 5,5 milioni di euro di ricavi digitali in Italia.

THE WEB TAX IN ITALY DIGITAL TAXATION BETWEEN REFORMS AND GLOBAL DEBATES The global economy is changing at a remarkable pace, shifting increasingly towards the digital sphere. Major platforms, online services, and technological innovations have transformed the way we live and do business.

But how can tax systems keep up? In Italy, the answer to this challenge is called the Digital Services Tax (DST)—commonly referred to as the “Web Tax”—a measure that continues to evolve and spark heated debate.

What is the Digital Services Tax (DST)?

Since 1 January 2020, Italy has introduced a 3% tax on revenues generated from certain digital activities within the country. Unlike a consumer tax, this levy targets large companies—both Italian and foreign—operating in the digital sector. It is not a general tax but applies specifically to those exceeding certain global and national revenue thresholds and offering services such as: • Online advertising: The sale of advertising space on digital platforms.

• Intermediation services: Facilitating interactions between users, such as in marketplaces or on social networks.

• Data transmission: Selling or processing user data.

The main goal is clear: to ensure that even web giants contribute to the tax revenues of the countries where they generate value, moving beyond the traditional fiscal approach based on a company’s physical presence.

A constantly evolving framework: 2025 updates The Web Tax is not a static measure. The 2025 Budget Law introduced key changes to align it with other income taxes and simplify compliance.

In particular, the payment system has shifted from a single instalment to a two-stage mechanism: • A 30% advance due by 30 November.

• The 70% balance to be paid by 16 May of the following year.

It is worth noting that while there has been debate about completely removing revenue thresholds, the Web Tax currently still applies only to companies exceeding €750 million in global revenues and €5.5 million in digital revenues in Italy.

Perché la Web Tax è così discussa?

Sebbene l’obiettivo di una maggiore equità fiscale sia largamente condiviso, l’ISD solleva diverse questioni critiche: 1. Inoltre, la complessità degli adempimenti burocratici rimane una preoccupazione, anche se le recenti modifiche mirano a semplificare il processo.

In conclusione, possiamo dire che l’ISD sia stata concepita per garantire un’imposizione fiscale più equa sulle imprese digitali non residenti che generano ricavi in Italia, ma continua a suscitare dibattiti, soprattutto sul rischio di doppia imposizione e sull’impatto per le imprese locali nonché sull’efficacia di tale misura rispetto ai propositi della stessa. Tuttavia, il futuro della web tax dipenderà dall’evoluzione delle trattative internazionali, in particolare dalle iniziative dell’OCSE per una tassazione digitale più uniforme. Resta da vedere se l’Italia manterrà questa imposta o la integrerà in un sistema fiscale globale più condiviso.

2. Impact on SMEs: Critics argue that, although the Web Tax does not directly target small and medium-sized enterprises, it could have a knock-on effect. If web giants pass the tax burden onto their services, SMEs and consumers relying on those platforms could ultimately bear the cost. Moreover, bureaucratic complexity remains a concern, despite recent efforts to simplify the process.

In conclusion, the DST was designed to ensure fairer taxation for non-resident digital companies generating revenues in Italy, yet it continues to raise debates—particularly over the risk of double taxation, its impact on local businesses, and its effectiveness in achieving its stated aims.

Ultimately, the future of the Web Tax will depend on the outcome of international negotiations, especially the OECD’s initiatives for a more standardised digital tax framework. It remains to be seen whether Italy will maintain this levy or incorporate it into a more widely shared global tax system.

SETTEMBRE IN VOLO: LE NOVITÀ NEGLI AEROPORTI ITALIANI Dai controlli di sicurezza più rapidi ai nuovi collegamenti, gli scali si rinnovano per accogliere al meglio i viaggiatori.

SEPTEMBER TAKES OFF: WHAT’S NEW AT ITALIAN AIRPORTS | From faster security checks to fresh routes, Italian hubs are gearing up to welcome passengers in style.

Settembre si apre con un vero rinascimento per gli aeroporti italiani: più efficienza, comfort e collegamenti su misura per chi viaggia con stile. Cominciamo dagli scanner di nuova generazione. Da quest’estate, in ben sette scali — tra cui Milano Malpensa, Linate, Roma Fiumicino, Bergamo Orio al Serio, Bologna, Torino Caselle e Catania Fontanarossa — è possibile portare liquidi nel bagaglio a mano superiori ai 100 ml senza doverli estrarre. Una rivoluzione che accelera i controlli e libera le mani dei viaggiatori.

E parlando di sicurezza, è stato anche abrogato l’obbligo di presentare un documento d’identità insieme alla carta d’imbarco, semplificando l’accesso al gate e liberando i passeggeri dall’ansia dell’ultimo minuto.

A Bologna, tra le notti del 25 agosto e del 30 settembre, l’aeroporto Marconi procede a un intervento notturno di ammodernamento della pista e delle aree di manovra, con chiusure dalle 23:55 alle 5:55. Un po’ di disagi, sì, ma di giorno lo scalo resta pienamente operativo.

E da Fiumicino a Malpensa, fiore all’occhiello dell’estate 2025 è il boom dei passeggeri: 27 milioni transitati tra giugno e settembre, con un incremento del 18% rispetto al 2024. Numeri da record, che dipingono un’Italia ripartita e sempre più attrattiva.

Al Marconi di Bologna, il restyling non si ferma alla pista. L’area commerciale è stata ampliata, i controlli di sicurezza sono ora più moderni e un nuovo parcheggio multipiano è entrato in funzione ad agosto con oltre mille posti. Entro metà settembre, inoltre, aprirà una Business Lounge completamente rinnovata.

A Sud, l’aeroporto di Salerno–Pontecagnano accelera i lavori del nuovo terminal sostenibile: cinque gate, pannelli fotovoltaici, spazi luminosi. Intanto, un calendario fitto di rotte stagionali anima lo scalo: da settembre riprendono i voli per Milano, mentre si moltiplicano

Uno di questi è il Quartiere Coppedè, un piccolo gioiello architettonico situato tra via Tagliamento e piazza Mincio. Progettato dall’architetto Gino Coppedè nei primi decenni del Novecento, è un mix eclettico di stili: liberty, medievale, rinascimentale, persino richiami all’arte greca. Passeggiando tra le sue palazzine ornate da torrette e balconi scolpiti, ci si sente trasportati in un’atmosfera sospesa tra favola e sogno. La Fontana delle Rane, al centro della piazza, è uno dei suoi simboli più curiosi. Non lontano dal centro, ma poco conosciuto, si trova il Museo della Civiltà Romana, all’Eur. Qui, modelli in scala, plastici e ricostruzioni raccontano la Roma antica in modo visivo e coinvolgente. Il grande plastico dell’Urbe al tempo di Costantino permette di comprendere come fosse strutturata la città imperiale e di immaginare percorsi e monumenti ormai scomparsi.
