SCHELLER BUSINESS AMBASSADORS 2022

ABOUT US SBA IS EXCITED TO WELCOME YOU TO THE DEAN'S SCHOLARSHIP SEMIFINALIST EVENTS! The purpose of the Scheller Business Ambassadors is to serve as the liaison between the Scheller College of Business Undergraduate Programs Office and undergraduate business students. Ambassadors represent the College to recruit prospective undergraduate students, and promote community development within the undergrad business student populations through organized programs and initiatives.

Scheller Business Ambassadors are active leaders who develop new ideas to better the Scheller College of Business, and work as a group to implement them. They are expert public speakers, and serve to strengthen the bonds between current Scheller Business students, staff, faculty, and prospective students who are considering Georgia Tech’s business program.

Year: 4th Year Concentration: Information Technology Management (ITM) Hometown: Alpharetta, GA What have you loved most about your time as a Scheller student?

"My favorite part about my time at Scheller has been meeting all the incredible students at Scheller who have unique passions and causes. I have made lifelong friends and met many role models at Scheller. It's amazing to watch how motivated people achieve their goals, and I am excited to see what the future holds for all the amazing Scheller students!"

Year: 3rd Year Concentration: Marketing Hometown: Milton, GA What was the deciding factor in choosing Scheller?

"It was evident from the Scheller Business Ambassador that I talked to that Scheller instills its students with the skills, knowledge, and empowerment that ensures success for many years to come, rather than just receiving a piece of paper at the end of four years.

Through conversations, I also learned that there were many opportunities to pursue my own path, and that I would have many cheerleaders along the way. And after being here for three years, I can genuinely attest to this!"

Year: 3rd Year Concentration: Finance Hometown: Minneapolis, MN What have you loved most about your time as a Scheller student?

"I greatly appreciate the faculty, staff, and fellow students at Scheller. The professors have incredible experiences in their prospective industries, the undergraduate office gets to know the students like a friend, and the students encourage each other to be better everyday as opposed to competing and creating a tense/competitive environment. Scheller has always felt like my home because of this!"

"During my time at Scheller, I have most loved getting to know so many great people through on campus involvements. Scheller specifically encourages students to get involved early in their first semester and provides so many resources to make the process as smooth as possible. My favorite involvements have been the Investments Committee, serving as a Team Leader for a GT 1000 class, and being a Scheller Business Ambassador!"

Year: 2nd Year Concentration: Marketing Hometown: Suwanee, GA What was the deciding factor in choosing Scheller?

"The sense of community and positive environment is extremely apparent at all times at Scheller—the moment I stepped foot in the building as a prospective student, I already noticed it. The student ambassadors were eager to talk to and hear all about me, and the advisors were already happy to give valuable career advice even though I had not even committed to GT yet! Everybody is constantly rooting for you, and I feel comfort in knowing I always have a community to go to if I need any help or even just a smile!"

Year: 3rd Year Concentration: Information Technology Management (ITM) Hometown: Howard County, MD What was the deciding factor in choosing Scheller?

"I chose Scheller because of the emphasis placed on career development and making you a competitive candidate on the job market. Additionally, I wanted to find a school that would challenge me to go outside my comfort zone and learn new skills (like coding!).

Unofficially though, the food scene in Atlanta".
