A Letter from the President & Parade of Homes Chairman Welcome to the 2022 Bay Building Industries Association (BBIA) Great American Parade of Homes. This is our 43rd year to bring this premier event to Bay County. The Parade is exclusive to BBIA builder members. This year, we have 10 homes by 5 professional builders. Starting off the parade route again this year will be the BBIA Showcase Scholarship Home. All the homes in the Parade offer the newest and most innovative products in energy efficiencies and technologies, showcasing unique and cutting edge features now trending in the construction industry. The Great American Parade of Homes serves as the leading resource for consumers shopping for a new home and/ or ideas for renovation of an existing home. The Parade provides reliable sources when looking for a builder or associate. When touring the homes in the Parade, patrons have the opportunity to visit with professional builders and industry associates that are experienced representatives of the building industry. We are proud to announce Entry #1 on the Parade route is the BBIA Showcase Scholarship Home located at 1605 White Western Lake Lane in Pinebrook Subdivision in Southport, FL. The home is a consummation of the experienced BBIA Builders and Associates. Their state-of-the-art innovative ideas and dedication have made this home possible and because of the generosity of our talented membership providing skilled labor, discounted materials, and donations, we are able, from the sale of the Scholarship Home, to award scholarships to students pursuing a career in the construction industry field. Since our inception of the scholarship home we have been able to provide $102,000 in scholarships to 119 students. Additionally, BBIA has an endowed scholarship at Gulf Coast State College and has awarded many scholarships to students throughout the years. Welcome to the 43rd Annual Great American Parade of Homes presented by the Bay Building Industries Association – BBIA. I would like to thank all the sponsors, participants, donors, and BBIA members who have dedicated their time to make this a fantastic Parade of Homes. Typically, every Mother’s Day and the week following, the builder members of the BBIA open their homes for your viewing pleasure. This year, the Parade will cover 2 weekends, May 7 th & 8 th and May 14 th & 15 th , 2022. The Parade will include 10 unique and innovative homes, built by 5 different builders, for you to tour and admire. These homes will demonstrate the professional quality representative of your BBIA Builders and range from 1,750 to over 3,100 square feet. There will be homes on display that will appeal to the first-time home buyer, someone looking for a luxury upgrade and everything in between. The first stop on the parade route will be the BBIA Scholarship Home. The scholarship home is located at 1605 White Western Lake Lane, Pinebrook Subdivision in Southport, FL. It is being built by BBIA members and their co-workers, vendors, and suppliers. I am proud to serve on the BBIA Executive Committee and Board of Directors, am the NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) National Associate Director, FHBA State Builder Director, your 2022 Parade of Homes Chairman and 2021 Scholarship Home Builder. The BBIA constructs the Scholarship home to raise funds for our scholarship program. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the home will benefit our Scholarship and Construction Academy programs. The scholarships will be awarded to deserving students who are planning to continue their education at a technical school or accredited college. We cordially invite you to take some time and tour this beautiful home. It’s construction and design will showcase upgrades and craftsmanship throughout that are unmatched in other homes in this price range. Letter From The Executive Officer WHAT’S HAPPENING AT THE BBIA Hello BBIA Friends! What a great year it has been so far!

Bay Building Industries Association (BBIA) members along with our members of Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) started the year by visiting our legislators in Tallahassee at Spring Conference. We are happy to be a voice for our community and advocate for our construction industry. We are proud of the teamwork involved with other leaders in our community to continue to make this one of the best places to live, work and play!
Our annual events are back in full swing! We are excited to welcome you to our 43rd Parade of Homes! This is one of our biggest community events and we love being able to share all of the hard work our members are putting into these beautiful homes! Our Clay Shoot Tournament was held in January at the Bay County Shooting Range! It was a blast! In March, we were finally able to once again hold our Great American Home & Garden Expo after 4 long years. We were thrilled to be able to see all of you come out and visit with us and our exhibitors. We have quite a few things coming up including our Deep Fishing Charter, Cornhole Tournament, Golf Tournament and more! We invite you to join in on the fun! Our Education & Workforce Taskforce is off to a great start this year. In addition to working with our Construction Academies at Rutherford & Arnold High Schools, which the BBIA was instrumental in setting up, we have recently joined forces with the Boys & Girls Club of Bay County to teach our future leaders more about the construction industry. They have been enjoying hands-on projects, as well as, field trips to see how all of the trades work together to build our community. We are proud of all of our members who contribute their time to educate our youth. This experience is priceless for them. Our Scholarship Committee will soon be awarding scholarships for the 2022/2023 school year. To date we have been fortunate enough to award 119 students scholarships totaling $102,000. Many of these deserving students will be pursuing careers in the construction industry. We sincerely thank those who make the BBIA Scholarship Home possible. The BBIA also has an endowed scholarship at Gulf Coast State College. These scholarships will enrich the lives of students, our construction industry and our community. In addition to our scholarship program, the BBIA also makes a monetary contribution and donates toys to the Salvage Santa Program. We love being able to give back! We empower our members through networking, information, political action and various services while promoting an environment that supports the construction industry and the concepts of home ownership for all to assist them in being a part of the Great American Dream. BBIA Members are also members of Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) and National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and are receiving great benefits from both.
