elcome to the 2021 Bay Building Industries Association (BBIA) Great American Parade of Homes. This is our 42 nd year to bring this premier event to Bay County.

The Parade is exclusive to BBIA builder members. This year, we have 7 homes by 5 professional builders. Starting off the parade route again this year will be the BBIA Showcase Scholarship Home. All the homes in the Parade offer the newest and most innovative products in energy efficiencies and technologies, showcasing unique and cutting edge features now trending in the construction industry. The Great American Parade of Homes serves as the leading resource for consumers shopping for a new home and/or ideas for renovation of an existing home. elcome to the 42nd Annual Great American Parade of Homes Chairman Welcome to the 42 nd Annual Great American Parade of Homes presented by the Bay Building Industries Association – BBIA. I would like to thank all the sponsors, participants, donors, and BBIA members who have dedicated their time to make this a fantastic Parade of Homes. Typically, every Mother’s Day and the week following, the builder members of the BBIA open their homes for your viewing pleasure. This year, the Parade will cover 2 weekends, May 7 th – 9 th and May 14 th – 16 th , 2021. The Parade will include 7 unique and innovative homes, built by 5 different builders, for you to tour and admire. These homes will demonstrate the professional quality representative of your BBIA Builders and range from 1750 to over 3300 square feet. There will be homes on display that will appeal to the firsttime home buyer, someone looking for a luxury upgrade and everything in between. The first stop on the parade route will be the BBIA Scholarship Home. The scholarship home is located at 1609 White Western Lake Lane, Pinebrook Subdivision in Southport, FL. It is being built by BBIA members and their co-workers, vendors, and suppliers. This year, I am honored that my company, Pathway Builders was selected to lead the build of the Scholarship Home. I am proud to serve on the BBIA Executive Committee and Board of Directors, am the NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) National Associate Director, your 2021 Parade of Homes Chairman and 2021 Scholarship Home Builder. The BBIA constructs this home to raise funds for our scholarship program. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the home will benefit our Scholarship and Construction Academy programs. The scholarships will be awarded to deserving students who are planning to continue their education at a technical school or accredited college. he Bay Building Industries Association (BBIA), chartered in 1973, is comprised of many hardworking, local and corporate members representing the construction industry. We empower our members through networking, information, political action and various services while promoting an environment that supports the construction industry and the concepts of home ownership for all to assist them in being a part of the Great American Dream. Throughout the year we hold many great community events which offer a variety of opportunities for our members to interact and network with other members, as well as, local consumers to help grow their business! A portion of the proceeds from many of our events benefit our scholarship program and our Construction Academies at Rutherford High School and Arnold High School, enabling us to give back to the community in the form of scholarships to young adults pursuing a career in the construction industry, all the while promoting the construction industry in the classroom. In the past 6 years, BBIA has awarded over $77,000 in scholarships to 97 students. In addition, BBIA has an endowed scholarship at Gulf Coast State College and numerous scholarships have been awarded from that endowment. Also, each year, BBIA makes monetary contributions and donates toys to the Salvage Santa Program. DID YOU KNOW? BBIA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

ay Building Industries Association (BBIA) continues to actively promote awareness of the construction industry field in our communities.

BBIA was instrumental in setting up The Construction Academy at Rutherford High School (RHS) which held its very first class in 2016. We worked tirelessly with Bay County Superintendent of Schools, RHS Principal, Haney Technical School Director and Assistant Director, the Instructor, several local contractors and our membership to set up the academy. The RHS Construction Academy program was mirrored to Arnold High School in the 2017-2018 school year.

As a result, the Construction Academies are charter schools for the Future Builders of America (FBA), an organization dedicated to introducing construction career opportunities to secondary school students and other youth up to 25 years of age and providing programs to develop leadership skills critical to the construction industry. Many thanks to all who supported making this valuable resource come to fruition.

BBIA is once again building a scholarship home. The home is being built under the direction of Pathway Builders, LLC, and will be entry #1 in the 2021 Great American Parade of Homes that runs May 7 th – 9 th and May 14 th – 16 th , 2021. Parade home entries will be open from Noon – 6 pm daily. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the scholarship home will be awarded in scholarships to students pursuing a career in the construction industry. Since 2015, BBIA has awarded over $77,000 in scholarships to 97 deserving students to further their education. Additionally, BBIA has an endowed scholarship at Gulf Coast State College and has awarded many scholarships to students throughout the years. LET’S NEVER SAY GOODBYE, ONLY “HELLO THERE” AGAIN WOW! It’s hard to believe that I have been your Executive Officer for almost 7 years and a member of BBIA since 1983…..I was still in diapers then…….LOL! I have reached a point in my life that it’s time I pass along one of the things I am most passionate about – the BBIA. This was a bitter sweet decision because I love this organization and its members so much; however, I have worked hard all my life to get to this point. I have decided to retire the end of May, 2021. My husband, Tim and I plan to do some traveling and spend more time with our children, grandchildren, family and friends. I am proud of being the voice and face of the BBIA and all that has been accomplished. BBIA has become the go to source in our community as it pertains to the construction industry. Together, we have made great strides as an association. I hope you agree that BBIA has grown and prospered as an organization. It would not be successful without each and every one of you. It has been a pleasure to work with you all and that, I will truly miss. BBIA members are an amazing group of folks. I am blessed to call you my friends.
